We always dine out on weekends and normally it’s fully booked. We were lucky to get a table for 5 at 6pm on a Sunday. We have always love the food at Shang Social. Except for the smoke chicken. It’s always cold when served. This time I highlighted to the Manager about the smoke chicken when placing order, surprisingly he made sure the chicken was served hot. Impressed with the attentiveness and service. Their staff are friendly too. Went there so many times never tried their passion fruit prawns before. It was highly recommended by the Manager. The dish was amazingly especially the passion fruit sauce was refreshing. We ordered kurobuta pork with lychee and it’s nice too. Not like those sweet and sour pork. The soup of the day was walnut carrot double boiled with pork ribs. The soup was very nice too. As I am allergic to MSG, I have no problem with their soup. Yummy!! Their desserts are great too. Red bean paste pancake is not oily.👍🏻 The pricing for the good is on the high side but it’s worth it.

Ordered one whole Peking Duck and food is good, not greasy. It came with 2 baskets of peking duck pancake. Chao Siew is half fat and half lean, which is good. Taste is just appropriate, doesn't leave a over salty taste in the mouth. Service is good, kept refill my tea. Will be back to try the noodles and dim sum

Brought our mum here for lunch as she was leaving for Xia Men China to visit her relatives. The place is nicely decorated, giving a comfortable feeling and their service was good. Service staff was kindly to locate us at a location large enough to accommodate our luggage 🧳 . All the dishes we ordered were fresh, delicious and tasty.

Despite several recent reviews highlighting the service negatively while praising the food is delicious, I hold an opposing view. While the service and atmosphere were commendable, the quality of the food fell short of expectations. The Char Siew and especially the Roast Duck appeared tough and tasted like leftovers, lacking succulence and tenderness. While the Roast Pork marginally fared better but still failed to impress. Not to mention, the Wantan Mee's flavor was heavily affected by an overly bitter soy sauce, making it less palatable. Additionally, the pork lard topped on the noodles had already gone rancid, impacting the overall taste negatively.🫠🫠🫠 I had anticipated a higher standard of food quality, leading to disappointment. However, the dessert was a standout and the most enjoyable part of the meal. Wouldn't recommend. 🙁

Good decor, great menu selection and nicely described menu. I got the spicy dumpling and spicy Schezuan chicken. Both dishes were freshly prepared and well presented. The taste was average, nothing spectacular- for being in Changi Airport and being in Singapore. The service was average, staff looked overworked a bit even though the restaurant was not busy. The bar was setup nice however they don’t have any cocktails! ☹️ They have a small section with a view of the fountain, however they have dirty dishes and cleaning equipment sitting right there which dampens the view!!! Not good for a Shangrila caliber restaurant 😕 Overall an average experience and I would not repeat.

We recently visited Shang Social, and our overall experience was quite satisfactory. The ambience is pleasant, creating a comfortable setting for a meal with friends or family. The food, while decent, left us with mixed feelings. The flavors were good, but the price point seemed slightly high for the quality offered. Although we expected a more refined taste to match the expense, the dishes were enjoyable but not exceptional. The menu showcases a variety of options, providing a range of choices for different preferences. The service was attentive, adding a positive note to our visit. In terms of pricing, we felt it didn't quite align with the overall food quality. However, if you're looking for a nice ambiance and are willing to overlook a slightly higher bill, Shang Social could be a suitable choice for a casual dining experience.

Done on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was almost full. Made a reservation before we came. Food was good today compared to other few times we came. Today’s walnut carrot soup was good. The prawns with passion fruit sauce was good and appetizing. James served us today and he was great.

Always love the dishes curated by Shang Social. This is our 2nd time here at Jewel and the level of service and food delivered never disappoints us. Will look forward to the dim sum menu the next time round.
