Nice simple park. Has a 2 mile paved track, basket ball, volley ball, tennis, zip line splash pad, kids play area, lockers, police, dog park, plenty of parking, something for every one.

Had a great Strength test here with the Marines of RSS Northshore and Deer Park. Looking forward to the next one!

Gene Green Park is GREAT. There are cleared trails where my Bella can run and explore the woods. There is a concrete pool, with constant recycling water for her to wade around and cool off. There are two doggy drinking fountains. The doggy area is divided, so small dogs and large dogs are not mixed together. There is a very large area, where dogs can play frisbee and fetch and just run. Two covered picnic tables and several benches, for us Humans to sit and relax, as 'we' watch our Bella run. There is also a running/walking track throughout the park. This park is very well maintained.

This park is huge. It has a walk way, skate park, dog park, 3 kid section parks, a section for volleyball, tennis and basketball. They also have a section filled with tables and some bbq pits so some can cook in. The only downfall was that they don’t have a single swing set 😔 my baby loves swings. Might not be able to bring my son here as often as I wanted but our dog loved the open space to walk in.

Wonderful trails are part of the fenced in dog area at this location. The large dog area has a wonderful pool and the small dog area has a fun splash pad. Grass is well maintained and plenty of potty stations. There are also several water fountains for dogs and owners, too. Easy to find and worth the drive!

I recently started running and this park has a great trail to keep you motivated on. The other joggers and runners are very respectful and the park hours are great for people who wake up at the crack of dawn. There are some rude people, as expected, but it's usually from people who aren't regulars. Park and trails are kept clean so if you're not from the area, please be courteous to those who visit regularly . Also no alcohol is allowed at the park.

The dog park is good the track is a nice long walk. But it seems like most of the amenities like the splash pad, some of the playground equipment, BMX track and a few other things are all closed.

It's a really nice park. And what makes it nice is not the pond that is never full, that is a disappointment. But rather, it has a really nice walking trail that winds through the woods, and is of adequate length.

Excellent park for exercising, perfect size & very peaceful. My kids & I love the nature walk area! I just wish they had more activity areas for the little ones.

It's a nice quiet park. Not much to offer but good to spend quiet time and relaxation.

As of 5-27-22 the entire 2 mile loop is open. An all asphalt loop through a local park. Some shade on the East side, 1.75 miles or so is full sun. Every time I have been here I have seen law enforcement patrols. A busy and safe park.

Very nice and clean park. There is not much in terms of scenery, but it's very big. Lots of space to run around, ride bikes or skate. There is also a dog park nearby! Very calm and peaceful, don't forget to protect your skin as it's very plain with no trees. There is even a workout area with some free machines to use. That's a very nice touch if you're into getting more in shape and don't want to spend a dime!

What is the accurate distance around, Gene Green Park? I know completely around has to be more than 2 miles. My bones can feel that it's more than two miles. Overall, it's a nice healthy walk. I lowered my A1C by daily walking completely around in almost 2 months. I also no longer have high blood pressure. No more medication!!! The light bulbs need to be changed. Lights are needed on the other side of the parks walking trail. MAKE THAT HAPPEN HONORABLE CONGRESSWOMAN SYLVIA GARCIA. We need lights. Watch for snakes. I've saw two wiggle across while walking the trail. One was huge!!🐍 I let it have the trail. Now, I walk with a stick and mace. I'll mace a snake. 😄 Enjoy y'all walk neighbors!!! I MISS YOU, CONGRESSMAN GREEN!! 💚

The track is awesome, however I noticed they no longer have the full exercise equipment area. It really just needs some love and care. Seems to be here downward in appearance little by little.

This is a really neat dog park. It has a wooded trail as well. Very enjoyable. The pool is always clean. I come almost every day. Live down the street. These 2 pitbull dogs you see in the video were picking on my Shepherd pup. The majority of the dogs that I see who shouldn't be there are pit bulls. I told the person it shouldn't be here b/c it's aggressive, growling, and picking on other dogs. Several of us left b/c that person wouldn't. I should've called the police line and reported it. There is also a black Doberman that picks on others. It has a white collar. And again, wouldn't leave after we said you can't be here with your dog. That's the only problem with dog parks. People don't train their dogs properly and you always have to watch and be with your dog and always ask others if their dog is friendly. So if you see me with my West German Shepherd say hi :) I love pit bulls but watch them. As much as I come here, only a few so far have been well-behaved. Not enough benches or shaded areas is the only downfall.

I DID enjoy Gene Green Park until THAT happened. It is a decent park that includes two dog parks, ~2 mile nature trail, and other activities. Be cautious, however, because thieves are amongst those enjoying this pleasant environment and you could be their next target. I wouldn’t use the plate that came off of this car if I were you.

It was enjoyable. There wasnt alot of parking. Update: have returned to use the small dogs park. spacious. Towards the back there is a short trail that leads into the woods. Past the dog park area there is a larger parking lot with plenty of room.

My dog doesn't generally like the water but he waded right in one he saw the other dogs. Nice, shaded trails to walk and plenty of benches to sit on while the dogs play.

Great park! The dag parc specifically is amazing. Lots of room for dogs large or small. An open area for them to run, trails, a pool. Basically a dog paradise!

Great place to run 2 miles around the trail. I wish the lights would illuminate more of the park at night. Restrooms are clean and are well maintained last time I needed to go.

Very nice park, good ammenities, and there for a fun family time. There could be a bit more security around, but overall it's the best park on this side of town.

Nice place to take the kids! Playgrounds are kept clean and maintained properly. When it rains though. Lots of puddles and mosquitoes. Dog friendly, with a section for them.
