This is definitely a great place to chill out for some time and get some great pictures. If possible, try to go as early as possible so that you can see the fog covering the green trees. There might be a lot of photographers offer you portrait photography quotes with local clothing style. I personally feel it's not worth investing there, and you find them almost at every common tourist point in Shimla. Also, you may not really want to stop for more than an hour.

Green velly was amazing place. Mountain view seen everywhere. Many people come here and enjoy. Many activities available here like horse riding,zip line, tracking etc. There environment is green and the wind are cool.

Avoid going to this place. Agents will.push you but there is not much to see. There is apple garden which should be visited after May as apple starts blooming by then. For sightseeing, the transportation is by horse which is chargeable at rs.500 per head and while on the way top, you need to pay rs.20 per head which the agents will not inform you. All the sight is blocked by local reaident and one has to pay fees to access the sight. There is 2 temple and local market with ample of food joints(tents)

It's a huge Lush green valley on way to Kufri. When you travel from Shimla to base point of Kufri you will see this valley on one side of road. There are few spots on way where you can stop and click some good pictures.

First of all if you want to go for adventure don't buy it from the starting place,as they were selling the full adventure tour for 1500rs per person including the horse fee. But if you take the horse for 500rs from starting point and buy the full course adventure from top it is very cheap it was 350rs per person. And hope you all enjoy your trip

The Green valley is a beautiful mountain range, falling on the wa to Kufri from Shimla. The valley is God's gift to the beautiful city of Shimla. The greenery and beauty of the place are mesmerising and makes you forget everything else.

There is nothing special, just a view of mountains covered with forest.. This is the reason they called it green Valley view point. People stand with there binoculars, few more was there with some traditional dresses and camera. Best part for me was there is a trekking trail just beneath the road or the point. Some people was having nature walk on it.

A beautiful place on the way to Kufri called green valley. You get to see a green lushy valley from a distance. A good place to click pictures and feel the nature . This place is amazing. The view can be seen from the main road itself. Located at a distance of only 7 km from Kufri , the Green Valley is well-connected to all parts of the city and provides several modes of transport to reach your destination. If you are staying in the centre of the city, you can rent a bicycle or a bike from the areas around The Ridge in Shimla.

No need to stop here... it is just a road side views of trees.... visit chaile चायल kali mata mandir and spend 2 hours there.... it's very nice view.... ek dam manmohak type

It's a place to visit for peace. You will find a location with a great view. There are mountains with devdhar trees which look so cool and give a freshness to your eyes. We stay at least for 1 hour at that location.

Absolutely waste of time to visit here if you're visiting Shimla. Not recommended at all. See the attached pics for yourself. One can find much better view of hills in few kms drive from Green Valley towards Kufri.

But I would recommend for anyone who visits here to stay careful and safe as this view is visible from the roadside only. You can have an amazing time watching the greenery spread all over the mountains.

Green valley is located in Kufri, Himachal pradesh. I went last week. Its really heaven. I love this place. All trees and hills were covered with snow. The live snow time was amazing. recommended to everyone to vist once between december to fabruary month..

Green Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Shimla! It is noted for it’s elite beauty. The place is ideal for photography as it offers some of the most mesmerising sights that nature has to offer. There is no entry fee for this area. There are a-lot of stops to eat roadside snacks, look at monkeys (be careful of them) and also sit and travel on yaks and horses Shimla Water Catchment Wildlife Sanctuary which is in green valley or rather over looks green valley has a small entry fee. We paid around Rs. 500 for 3 people (150 per person and Rs. 50 car park). You can even rent a cycle. The path is a little uneven and there are hardly any railings along the way so only cycle if your confident. It takes about 3-4 hours (approx 7 km) to cover the sanctuary. It’s recommended to go in the morning for bird watching. There are alot of scenic views and if your worried about completing the trail, there are sufficient benches and pit stops along the way, so definitely visit this place! I went there with my parents and we were able to complete the trail . Green Valley lies on National Highway 22 on the way to Kufri from Shimla. Its 8km from Shimla Old Bus Stand and 7.5 km from Kufri. Super accessible and a popular point to visit!

An average view point. This view point is on the way to Kufri. Need to see this by standing on the road, infested with heavy vehicles. Bit colder here. Hard to take pictures too. Overall an average view point.

It's peaceful and quite place. But, tickets are expensive. There are some adventure activities. And, it also has apple garden. I'd recommend everyone to visit there in winter season.

Nice view of Green valley. Since you get to see the forest from road side. Better get some pics clicked and don't get trapped in buying Kesar or sheelajeet which they start showing while you view the valley, to get at a less price.

Way back to Shimla from kufri we visited this place popularly known as 'Green Valley' on Kufri Bypass/ Kufri -Chail Highway, way to Chail Forest and a cricket ground with other Chail Palace and other colonial houses. However we enjoyed the lush green deodar, pine forestry among many verdant hills with its elevation about 2200mtrs all-around till to its base.There is a tranquillity and pristine beauty that are a blissful gift by this nature.

It is on the route from Shimla to Kufri. You can see it from the road side . No dedicated space nor dedicated parking . Very risky as everyone trying to get pics at the same time you have to watch for vehicles on the road and your footsteps. Some local stalls for snacks but no authorised space. It is better to avoid as it can be very risky

Nice hotel in budget... Service is nice... It is near Mall road... Only thing I missed....quilt was not good enough... It could be better. Quilt quality was third class....not clean and was old. Rooms were neat and clean. Bathroom was neat and clean and hot water is available in morning and evening.
