Terrible. Animal exploitation. There is a huge cartel of horse and adventure tour guys who will not even allow you to walk up and do the sightseeing. They push the people who don't want to sit on the horse and don't let them walk and do the sightseeing. Local authorities need to do something urgently. They at least need to make space for people who want to walk and explore the place.

Worst experience ever. never ever think about to go with kids. They will cry all the time. For adventure you hv to wait for 1 hr. The horse will be on pilot mode no will handle them. Horse will run in front of you and back side also. you will scared to see them and also your kids. The pathway is so high to track it's around 3km to walk and it's hard to walk. Nothing to see there nothing interested i don't knw why tourist going and wasting their tym kufri is totally west place. yes you can visit green valley that's beautiful.

Not so good experience. They charge Rs. 1000 per person for- Horse ride, Get 3-4 activities incl zip line, view apple garden. They promise to show 4-5 view points by vehicle but doesn't show any of them. Just pickup from some point and drop at 150 mtrs away. Rs. 1000 is not justified for this experience. According to me it is just a checklist on your visiting places and nothing else.

Shocking animal mistreatment, horses have poor quality incorrect equipment and have very little schooling so are being beaten to follow a route. I told the guide I would hit him if he kept beating horses, it was really that bad!

So shocked by how the horses are treated over there. They will take you on a 20 minutes ride to a peak with no view at all just more sad horses to see. Its unhygienic horses are slapped, yelled at. Came back with a very heavy heart. Tourist trap!!!!!

Better skip this location, save money to spend the same at other better attraction point. People are just looting money for no reason. Peak point can visit the place by other transport means....but localities are not allowing to develop the place as it may spoil their income. Do not fall in trap, they may do gimmick to spend more money than what suppose to be. They force you to take adventure tickets while buying horse ticket, better don't know fall in trap.

Avoid taking the horse ride. Rather put some effort to walk uphill which can be completed in the same amount of time as a horse ride. The passageway is very steep and the riders don't care much about your safety. It is β‚Ή500+ person and β‚Ή20/person is charged by village panchayat people additionally once you reach the entrance. This is not informed by the horse agents. A lot of shops are available & many food shops but don't expect hygiene at all. Washrooms are available but quite dirty.

DON'T USE HORSES TO GO UPON HILL. THEY ALL WILL MISLEAD YOU BY SAYING ITS TOO FAR AND NOT POSSIBLE TO GO ON FOOT AND FORCE TO TAKE HORSE FOR Β£500 PER PERSON WHICH IS VERY COSTLY. IT IS ONLY 15 TO 20 MINUTES AWAY WALKING. YOU CAN VISIT APPLE GARDEN, SHOOT PHOTOS WITH DIFFERENT ANIMALS. BUY CLOTHS PLAY SHOOTING GAMES ETC..

There is a horse ride promoted up a mountainous path which is very rocky and steep at times. It's a dangerous ride up and down with very amateur guides. Witnessed a middle aged woman fall of a horse caused by another guide rushing through on his horse. The guide who dropped her as well as the guide bringing the lady up both ran away from the scene without any show of concern or help at all.
If you value your life and Rs. 500 DO NOT DO THIS stupid horse ride .
Also there is nothing at all up the mountain worth risking your life for , no view or activity available to make the trip worth it.

Too much crowded. Very poorly managed. Use ride at your own risk. They take advantage of the fact that tourists don't know the way. They are making fool of people for just 1 km ride. Worst thing to do in nearby area. Don't take risk with children.

Stars only for the natural beauty enroute to Kufri village. The base is dominated by horses and their operators. The road uphill is walkable, picturesque, winding and dusty. You could trek uphill but you are NOT allowed by the nexus of horses operators who send dozens of horses galloping at full speed uphill or downhill. If you can then agree by the rates of operators who charge @500rs per ride(to and fro). They give you a receipt of the ride. Remember to note the mobile number of the operator. The ride itself is thrilling, exciting and gives you a riders view of the beautiful scenic surroundings....well , only if you are comfortable with the horse back ride over the gradient up and down, else you would spend time holding the reins and praying that you don't fall over by the rocky edges or slip between them. You have to pay extra charge as entry fees to Kufri. Once at the peak, you enjoy the more natural, scenic wonders. The same return back journey will give you more excitement as you have now to tilt backwards. For the strong hearted it is an exciting ride but for the first timers it is an occasion to remember..for if you get frightened, the horses don't stop in between as they are trained to halt only at start or end... except if you get hysterical and jump like a horse, do the operators come to your rescue. Anyways enjoy the ride.

Waste of money. They simply loot you. First they will show 1000rs /- for horse riding and sight seeing. They will move in steep of hills. Its gambling. I personally won't suggest waste of time and money.

Guides will try to request to take horse ride, don't fall into the trap. There is nothing but mud on the way. Better to avoid guides as they have commission fixed with all the activities there. They will try to sell you the adventure package which is not value for money. Try to rome around on your own and gather information from social media before you visit any place as these guides and locals are there to loot you.

A pure scam. Don't fall into their trap and sit on the stinking tattos (ponies). They will leave you in the midway and you will have to cross at least 2 km walking. That's where you will regret wasting your time, energy and money.

Very bad experience in the month of December... The way of kufri from the horse point is horrible... And the road is fully muddy... And uncomfortable... If you want to go in the season time, you have to fully prepare your self... Take a long water proof shoes, and raincoat, and goggles, hand gloves...

Avoid going to this place,,, Agents will push you but there is not much to see,,, me & my wife were there on 05/06/2022,,, There is apple garden which should be visited after May as apple starts blooming by then,,, For sightseeing, the transportation is by horse which is chargeable at rs.500 per head and while on the way top, you need to pay rs 20 per head which the agents will not inform you,,, There is 2 temple and local market with ample of food joints(tents)

This place well known for self horse ride on small mountain. We can take the horse ride here by paying tickets. But in between they collect additional money twicw. Also safety measures are very less here or as almost nill. Threat of falling down is also more. But the organizers least bother about this. Beyond this we can enjoy the ride and have maggi in shops. I don't wheather government knows this or not, because there is no botherations about safety

At horse point, one can meet their horse and start their ride towards Kufri... If you need anything else like shoes, snow dress etc., then you can buy those later at the end point of your ride in cheap prices, like shoes in Rs 100 only! If you're really do ROFL kind of things in the snow, then only go for snow dress otherwise it isn't worth. And yes, we enjoyed the ride, as it wasn't that crowded in week days, otherwise in weekends you'll get rush there, and if you're a good trekker and have enough time, then take the shoes & walk yourself...

Worst place avoid going if you are not freek... The main point all taxi driver and taxi point union suggest this place is commission they get from horse owner.. Shoe and dress renting people not that fascinating... Better to go narkanda or any other place to dangerous horse ride... Too much muddy and slippery road if you want to get your bones cracked choose this place else no
