The hotel has a very nice location everything is so close restaurants Main Street bars Beach area it is. However the service is horrible. The front desk is very rude. They don't have any idea what is a customer service. Check into my room later on turn the water on in the bathtub and the water was orange color Dusty and dirty . I called the front desk and he said let it run for a while. I let her run for 45 minutes and the watercolor did change. I called again the send the maintenance person and he said it's the water company who is sending this. I said I don't believe you you have over 500 rooms in this hotel and nobody has complained ? I asked him to check a different room and see if the water is same color or not. He went to the next room and the water was fine. I decided to move my room I called the front desk if they could bring the key upstairs for the new room but again the front desk was very rude and they said you have to come downstairs to get the key knowing that I was having very big issue with water and inconvenience but not even as courtesy they sent the key up. I went down to get the key and change my room. The water in tub was fine in that room but there was no water in the sink. At that moment I did not even bother calling anybody I stayed three days in that hotel without the water in the sink I was so upset and I would never recommend anybody to come to this hotel unless you really don't have any other places to go

Stayed at this hotel June 7, 2023 when our flight to Miami was cancelled. Room was clean and cosy. My daughter and I had fun. Bartender at the bar was very pleasant and fun. Breakfast and our server was great.

We stayed here, because our flight was cancelled. The wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom are shutters, so you can see, hear and smell everything from it. The linen was piled and scratchy. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. One gal seated us and left us, 35 min later another walked by and we did an easy order of coffee and toast, since we had been there a while and needed to get to the airport. She brought our toast and forgot the coffee. About 10-15 mins she was walking by and we asked for coffee. We spent 1.5 in there, for coffee and toast. I asked for a receipt, so I could get reimbursed. None of the 3 knew how to do it, even though they had their copy of it. I ended up taking a picture of their receipt. I would not recommend this hotel, for the price I paid. This is more of a $79 room in the US.

Worst hotel I've stayed in in a long time and I live in hotels over half the year. Service was poor. Staff could care less it felt like. Upon checkin in at 1630 for my room, I was told it'd be ready in 15min. After waiting until 1730 to check again, I was told it'd be ready in 20min. There were 20-30ppl in the lobby being told the exact same things. No where to sit except on the floor. Finally, at 1800 they gave me a key to my room, only to get to my room and find out it's not the class of room I booked. So I went back down to the lobby to get a new room. Now, in the new room, the pipes to my toilet are leaking, the windows are so thing and seal so poorly that it sounds like they are open and the bar 3 floors below sounds like it's in my room. Disaster of a hotel with misleading pictures and poorly trained staff.

This hotel is a good one but there's something I would like to address. Something that could just make people happier. If I were to stay 4 nights and you only serve breakfast and not dinner then It would be nice to have a place where I could heat my food leftovers. Other than that I recommend it never found a problem with the bed or cleanliness. If any problem they would kindly solve it for you. 3 stars because some things are broken and the need to let the staff know is a bit bothersome and unwanted for bothparties. If they checked everything beforehand, it would solve some of those issues.

Great location, beautiful sea front. Good and helpful front desk and restaurant staff. As the hotel building is aging it reflects on room condition and atmosphere inside main building. Bathroom condition worse as i had encountered toilet flush water flowing continuously and shower floor doesn't includes drains which caused water seeping inside room.

Windward passage is in a great location. It’s downtown next to the waterfront, shops, restaurants and markets. We loved being close to the things we needed and wanted. The price of the hotel was fine for a few days. No hidden fees and no additional holds/ charges when we got there. The hotel needs renovations in regards to the cosmetic appearances. The signs to the pool are missing letters. The bedding in the rooms are worn. The ac unit drips on the floor. When requesting towels it always seemed like a battle. When I asked room service to clean my room, I was given some explanation about a list being given by the front desk on which rooms can be cleaned for the day. I was able to get my trash changed though. On our last day the water was yellow coming from the sink and shower. Though the location was great, I wouldn’t stay here again.

So service staff were good. The services were non existence. Rooms were clean and cool. Faded glory are the best words to describe it? Neighborhood was a bit rough and back streets definitely deserve caution after dark. There are a few local bars/clubs at the back which can pump music quite late.

This was once a great hotel but has been allowed to get dared, moldy, and in need of LOTS of TLC. The first thing you notice when walking in is the smell of mold. The beds are lumpy, not very comfortable. No services available... all the restaurants have been closed since pre-Irma. Staff in short supply.

I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel. The photos are from two hotel rooms. Both of the rooms had brown water coming from the sink and tub faucets. We were told this was an “island wide thing” and to “just let it run and it would taper off.” We ran both for hours and they remained the same. I spoke to other guests who did not have this issue in their rooms. The staff did not care that we had to use cold water from the sink to bathe- this was the only clear water. “This is normal.” We traveled around the island and did not have this issue anywhere else.

I am a tad disappointed with this property that appears to at one time been a very nice resort style hotel. The lobby area needs updating. My room had a mix of old home style furniture, and some modern hotel furniture. The bathroom was poorly repaired or renovated. The noise from the road traffic and roosters was a bit much at times. Central location in Charlotte Amalie, taxis always out front, and a bar and restaurant are on premises. There is a pool and large deck area.

Noisy! Ask for a quiet room. All we heard was drums from the bar across the street. Lots of road noise from the street too. Rooms and bed clean. AC worked and provided some white noise. Shower and toilet worked. TV would not turn off had to unplug. Super slow desk staff. Not sure it would be safe to walk around at night aline here.

It's obvious that a lot of money was put into the property at one time but there's plenty of signs in the details it's not being kept up. We had a room in the back where music was blasting from below until midnight. The good thing is easy walking access to the Chicken Fry restaurant. We were there on airline vouchers and were unable to apply the meal funds in a way where the hotel didn't keep the half that wasn't used
