Staying here for about a week with the wife; we go back to the USA in a day and a half. The staff is all friendly and courteous and helpful in my experience. There's a pool and hot tub area that also includes a mini-bar and a larger bar with tables and chairs. The pool area has beach chairs small tables for drinks and umbrellas. Drinks are $10 a pop on average. The drink sizes are small - about an 8oz cup with ice added to it, so drinking can get very expensive, very quick. Lunch menu items are about $20ish while items on the dinner menu get up to $34. The entire island of St. Thomas has prices that are in line with these. Our room has a balcony with a view of the water. The building itself preserves its old architecture, which I can appreciate. Docking a star because my room floor was dusty - not noticeable to the eye but walking barefoot will quickly reveal that it could use some brooming. We just walked around in slippers. The room overall is pretty clean and well put together. This property is about 10-20 mins away from some of the beaches and taxi services, as well as vehicle rental services are very close by. There is also a supermarket close by. Hope this helps.

I love this place. My family is a owner, this is my second time going here. The rooms were renovated after Pandemic, and they look really nice. The room view is over Charlotte Amalie, and the pool view is over the marina. The pool is nice, 3 1/2 deep, plus a jacuzzi with amazing view. They have a restaurant who serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with decent food. The pool bar is really nice and the people who are running very kind and friendly. The prices for the room are affordable. Really nice place to have a great vacation. I do recommend it!

Pleasantly surprised by this establishment. Checking in was easy. Very friendly staff at reception and they drive you to your room, which is important because it's a very large property. Beautiful view, overlooking the hillside and gondola. Pool is a good size and the late hours of operation are much appreciated. The restaurant and bar are hit or miss as the are short staffed and you may either receive good service or wait 30 minutes for your food. Overall, I would stay here again.

Our 5 night stay at Bluebeard's Castle was wonderful!! We booked adjoining suites and were very pleased... Both rooms had their own kitchenettes fully supplied with dishes, utensils, and cookware for preparing your own meals if desired. The views from the balcony and even the front hallway were incredible!! The location was convenient for shopping, excursions, and site-seeing. The on-site bar and grill served excellent food and drinks and offered a variety of entertainment including karaoke and live local bands. The pool and hot tub were only steps away from our rooms, was never crowded, and overlooked the sea with even more stunning views! I loved learning the history of the castle in the lobby's museum. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Would definitely book again!!

This is a time share resort with a fabulous view of the cruise ships, fairly centrally located between the airport and red hook. the views of the harbor at night as ships leave and in the morning when they arrive are truly unique to this property. The property has a pool (3.5 deep) and a hot tub. The rooms have at least a mini fridge and microwave, some one bedrooms have a full kitchen, washer and dryer. There is adequate parking if you choose to drive. There is a restaurant on site but the fare is mediocre. Come if you want to stay centrally located, enjoy shopping, and are looking for a place to enjoy your own food and have a comfortable place to rest each day. Don’t come if you’re looking for a resort with spa, room service, daily housekeeping and fancy rooms. Also there are tons of stairs and uneven surfaces as this is an historic site built on a hill.

I spent 5 days and 4 nights at this resort. From the outside appearance, this resort looks aged and in need of being modernized. The staff, rooms, and the spectacular seaside views are truly the golden key to this resort. The day before check-in, I called the resort to see if an early check-in was possible; check in is at 4:00 pm, and flight was arriving at 1:12 pm. I was told that I needed to check with them once I arrived to see if my room was ready. Upon arrival to St. Thomas, I went to the resort to see if by chance the room was ready or would be ready before 4 pm. The staff on duty at the lobby was friendly and professional. The room wasn’t ready yet but she did my pre-check in paperwork and said that she would call when it’s ready, and all I would need to do when I returned was pick up my key. I never received a call. I returned to the resort at 3:45 pm. The original staff member was not there but another staff member looked up my information and provided me with the key and room information. She was very helpful, cheerful, and professional. My room was on the 3rd floor of the Hilltop Villas. My room was clean, spacious, appealing, and had a tropical/island feel to it. It had a big balcony with a fantastic seaside view. There’s a kitchenette with a standard size refrigerator, microwave, and stove top. The cabinets were packed with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. My king size bed was so soft and extremely comfortable. I ate at The Castle Grill twice. Once for lunch, and the other for dinner. I also ordered occasional drinks. The food was good but could’ve been more flavorful. The alcoholic drinks could’ve been better. I was looking forward to karaoke night on the Tuesday, but it got canceled. The live band on the Wednesday night was great! I danced a lot and had a wonderful time. The pool and hot tub were clean and looked inviting, but I did not use the pool or the hot tub during this visit. I went to a nearby beach instead. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Bluebeards Castle Hotel/Resort and will visit again.

The site is closed and has been for several years, although it looks like there is work being done. You can still walk the grounds and take pictures but you cannot go within the castle itself.

The best thing about Bluebeard was the spectacular views. The rooms are clean but seem quite dated, our room was located at the back of the property on the lowest level and required quite a bit of hiking daily to get to the restaurant or to take a taxi, the front desk suggested we call for a golf car pickup but alas we had no phone in the room. If you are looking for a self managed experience with no hotel amenities this might be the spot for you, but if you are looking for hotel services, like maid service, room service etc this might not work. There seemed to be ongoing maintenance by the pool area without any advance notification with resulting strong overwhelming odours.Generally the staff was not particularly friendly or customer service focused though they were thankfully a few bright sparks. I will likely not stay here again if given the choice.

Let me just start off by saying…. “Thank you to Mrs. Claudette”. We booked through expedia and of course the hotel was fully booked. Mrs. Claudette made sure that we had a place to lay our heads and we are so grateful for her. In this day in time the world is missing customer service skills, so every chance I get I will highlight those who still care about their profession. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and it had great views all throughout the property. I will definitely be coming back to stay at this location and I pray that Mrs. Claudette gets the raise that she deserves. And that she is still there when I return.
