First time visitors. Obviously a popular spot as it was James with people lined up out the door. GENEROUS portions. Friendly staff. Food us excellent. They do take out, and you can order ahead. Zero entry door. Might be a bit tight for a wheel chair #diner #takeout #breakfast #local #disabled #ada

This hole in the wall is a local gem. First time here and it was as good as the google reviews said! Awesome service, great food, fair prices. Daily and weekly specials. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. The waitress was so sweet, offering me a sweet tea to go!

Perfect spot for southern hospitality and breakfast. Coffee cup never dropped below half full. Buttery biscuits and gravy. Crispy bacon and fried eggs. The ladies working the morning shift were some of the nicest people we've met in Port Charlotte yet.

There was part of a brownie in my sausage gravy meal. The sausage pattys tasted cheap and gross. The potatoes where flavorless. Only thing I thought was ok where the eggs. They did give generous portions but when the food quality is so low, it doesn't matter. Even the ketchup was a cheap off brand.

What a lovely place. You can't beat the value of what they have to offer. Starting with the coffee and finishing with prompt service, the atmosphere is definitely old school. The waiter (owner?) will go far and beyond to make sure you don't leave unsatisfied.

Random visit based on Google reviews: did not disappoint. Very pleased with most excellent customer service and delicious food. I ordered the half Irish Pile Up as I must always try something new—and ate the whole thing (half is still huge) even though this was my second breakfast. Will be back soon with husband. My friend really liked her breakfast quesadillas too. Thanks to the Sweet’s crew for an awesome first visit!

It’s a down home, fresh made old style diner type of breakfast place!! Friendly service with large portions of your classic breakfast food. We’ve been going there for a couple of years and never disappointed. If you’re up for the challenge try one of their signature “Pile Ups”. There’s a 1/2 portion too. Either way it’s a whole lotta food!!

It seems to be a public favorite as they lined up and patiently waited for a table to open up which surprisingly didn't take to long. The wait wasn't bad and the staff was very attentive and on task. Food was good and several options to choose from. Serving breakfast and lunch.

Vegetarian delite omlet, no cheese and no mushrooms with home fries and whole grain toast. My omlet was filled with a lot of fresh vegetables and super hot. It was so big I took half my meal home. This is a great place for breakfast.

This sweet little homemade diner is one of THE BEST diners I’ve been to! My mother and I came for breakfast and our server Charles was the absolute BEST! So kind, informative, on top of it, just all around fantastic! From the moment we walked in the ladies were so nice and got us a table right away. When we left everyone said bye and it was just so nice to be in an atmosphere like home ♥️ Thank you for being so kind and curtious! This is for sure our new spot for Sundays!

This diner is a perfect example of a "Mom and Pop" style eatery with great service and a friendly staff. The food was prepared in a timely manner; was served hot and, as always, delicious! Staff gathered around and sang my guest happy birthday upon learning it was a celebratory lunch. What a kind and personal touch...complete with a whipped cream adorned muffin and a candle. Very welcoming to my service dog; it's the first time Gabby was offered pieces of bacon hot off the grill. She gives Sweet's Diner a 5 Paw review!

Fast, friendly, and delicious! In the area for three days and had to eat here a second time. Such a great experience; they have something special here. Very attentive staff and simply amazing food! Kudos to Scott and the entire crew for the atmosphere they have created!

This is a hustle bustle diner. Not because they chase you out to turn the table. It is just cramped and noisy. The BIG plus side is great food at a great price. Best value in Port Charlotte. They offer cash discount so consider that when you visit. Amazingly, the servers do a great job.

Great little "hole in the wall" (no offense meant) diner. We sat down and we're treated like family. Every staff member was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The place was really busy! We have a pretty basic meal and the food was excellent. However, while sitting there, we watched these ENORMOUS "Pile ons" being served. We'll make sure we're hungrier next time and order those! Don't judge this book by its cover. Check it out!

Stopped here on the way back from the airport for a spot of breakfast. What a find! Authentic, no frills establishment, full to the brim with regulars and staffed by friendly and efficient workers. An open kitchen adds to the busy feel. I had the hash with a couple of eggs, which was really good. All the food coming out of the kitchen was piled generously high! Overall a gem!

Came here with 3 other extremely hungry guys, ravished from a week of camping. We were ready to EAT. They seated us quickly and the service was efficient. As we are all coming from the Chicago area for spring break, we wanted some truly southern eats. The Pile Up was suggested to us by a local and did NOT disappoint. The mix of eggs, biscuit, potatoes, bacon, and gravy just melted in the mouth and brought (figurative) tears to our eyes. It was a lot of food for what we paid. On top of the stellar food and friendly atmosphere, the waitress allowed me to use the women's restroom because the men's was occupied. Simply astounding. I hope to one day visit this establishment again, it will be missed. We left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces.

The food here is SO good and the portions are huuuuuge. Great service and they serve the best coffee around (Dos Christianos). Prices are excellent. I love the little mini muffins they put on every table. The Pile Up is insanely delicious. Can't wait to come back!
