This is an absolute must for long range shooting. Additionally, if you're like me, and somewhat of a loner, you'll find excellent scenery within Babcock. Peaceful and serene walks in the forest. Babcock extend far and our favorite point of entry is still a secret. Nonetheless, if you enjoy nature and the stillness of life, you can never go wrong visiting some of Florida's parks.

One of my favorite places to Safari from my vehicle. Just driving around on fire roads that even a sports car could drive down very peaceful. There is always different wildlife viewing opportunities big and small. It is very flooded down some of the trails that people hunt and fish on so the summer months usually have alot less traffic.

Nice lake for kayaking or fishing, convenient camping - no hookups but close to town. Most spots are full ( it's currently early January) and it's first come first serve. There are people reserving their spots with a tent, then leaving for weeks.. which is frustrating when trying to find a spot. During hunting season, off roading is allowed here. We're nature enthusiasts and not hunters, so it was sad to see so many tire tracks into the wildlife areas.

Not really what we expected. After reading some of the reviews we took our bikes there and thought we would ride some of the trails that people talked about. We never really found any. We did ride around Webb Lake Road which was a few miles in each direction. We were going to go a different direction but the guy at the gate said that we could go that way but he wouldn't recommend it because it was hunting season and there were people in their hunting vehicles with high-powered rifles and they might not see us. We did get to see a guy who apparently killed a wild pig or bore that was gutting it and had it hanging from the back of his pickup truck. Probably not something we thought we would see. This area is probably more for hunters and outdoorsmen and people who like primitive camping.

Great wildlife drive. Was able to see a rare woodpecker as well as a host of other birds. Long easy driving paved and unpaved roads to travel and check out wildlife. A huge place to explore. We just scratched the surface. Camping spots and restrooms available.

It is a great place to kayak and ride. Fat tire bike. I have been there a couple times on my bike and have not come close to riding all the roads and trails.

Unexpected drive around this wma. Very dry and dusty today. Some of the gates were closed so had to make a couple of u-turns. Lots of camping are near the front gate/lake.

A really great place to stay for 30 days for free with an online permit, The weather is warm and I've got 5 bars of T-Mobile it's a little noisy from I 75 about a 1/2 mile away. The place closes up after January 21st for big game hunting. I always stay from December 21st to January 21st it's a great place to weather the winter.

A place I have been going to from the time I could walk. I've hunted fished, camped, and photographed all over the place. There are endless ways to explore and play here. There's a great shooting range right inside, and an awesome paved trail as soon as you enter that's great for biking. One of the best wild areas left in SWFL.

This location has much to offer. Secluded picnic areas, paved flat winding road for biking, gravel roads for the more adventurous, fishing, gun range, very nice camping area, hunting, hiking and relaxation.

A typical hunt camp. The highway is nearby if that bothers you, and weekend hunters are active with the swamp buggies going about. But there is excellent bike riding, it is close to any needed amenities, fabulous wildlife, and it is free with a permit and a conservation area pass. There are vault toilets and non- potable water available.

How do you have seasons on invasive wildlife that should be eradicated on sight? Florida has no restrictions on hogs right now. Zone A doesn’t either. Neither does any other WMA in Zone A. But for some reason whoever is managing Cecil Webb seems to think INVASIVE FERAL hogs are vitally important to the ecosystem and can only be hunted 3 months out of the year. They also wrote my friend a ticket for not checking in at a check-in station when the home page of the FWC website says that requirement is suspended until further notice.

Large recreation area. $3.00 per car self-serve entry fee. Lots of ponds for fishing. A shooting range. Trials to hike and quiet roads to bicycle. I've seen lots of birds, alligators, and other wildlife.

It's $ 3.00 for 1 person or $ 6.00 per car load. I love going. Just please PLEASE take your trash with you leave. I pick up what is left behind. So it will stay nice for other people to enjoy. Lots of wildlife to watch.

Nice Campground. Large semi developed primitive open lots, no hookups primitive restrooms and a water pump close by for non potable purposes. This is a eco system so insects are present.

Always a wonderful place to camp, shoot, explore, or have a picnic. Absolutely stunning and peaceful. Be prepared that if you visit during hunting season it will be quite busy and a different experience with FWC present and mandatory check in stations.

I understand why the camping and gun range as well as various activities are closed, but on the website the boat ramp is open just as every other boat ramp in florida currently is so please ether fix this mistake or only give access to the boat ramp as this should not be closed
