super neat place with lots of photo opportunities. only giving1 star because for $24 per person, (I purchased tickets online/reserved a time) they allowed too many people in so it was a wait to do certain things / felt rushed when doing so. the parking garage next door is $9 minimum for an hour, and the museum itself is kind of small. either make it cheaper or allow for more personalized experiences. (Also note, there are hands on activities throughout and during my hour and a half experience there, I never once saw any employees clean anything) in total it was about a $70 experience for 2 people with parking and taxes included, which in my opinion was not worth it.

A very cool museum with lots of illusions to play with. All illusions are explained in two ways: how to watch it, and what's happening, which I think is great! It's not so much a museum but an interactive installation. One of the great ideas of this museum is they have staff around to take photos of you 👍 Very cool. A bit expensive but definitely worth visiting. Keep in mind there might be a lot of people so buy the tickets online in advance.

What a fun addition to Charlotte’s attractions scene! This made for the perfect date night, but it would also be wonderful as a group. In any case, we appreciated how helpful staff were in taking our photos and making the magic come alive!

A little expensive for such a small place, but it was definitely fun & silly! I'd imagine it's even better with a few drinks/hits 😎 My friend & I just randomly wandered in here on our way to another museum. The workers were so nice & kind. Absolutely amazing customer service, always offering to help you understand or take pics for you. We enjoyed being silly here overall! 🫶🏽

The Illusion Museum in Charlotte was an absolute blast! From the Infinity Room that warped my perception to the Ames Room that made me feel like a giant and a tiny tot all at once, every exhibit was cleverly designed and mind-blowing. The staff was also friendly and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and unique activity in Charlotte. It's perfect for families, couples, and friends alike. I highly recommend it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Our family, along with my visiting brother-in-law and sister-in-law, had a delightful experience at the Museum of Illusions in Charlotte. Although the museum is compact in size, it's packed with captivating and mind-bending illusions that kept us all engaged and entertained. A special mention for the "tunnel" – if you're prone to dizziness or have sensory issues, brace yourself! The spinning sensation is incredibly realistic and might catch you off guard. Given its size, one can navigate the entire museum in about 30 minutes or less. So, if you're planning a day-long outing, this might not fill up your entire schedule. However, for the sheer fun, intrigue, and the unique memories we created, the experience was certainly worth the price of admission.

Wonderful experience with my 9-14 year old kids! I suggest for all ages grade school and up, even a great date night experience! Everyone was spread out and only a good number are let in at a time. It only took us about 40 min and we read everything and experienced all the room illusion picture spots!

I was able to get some great photos. The exhibits were nice, however the place was so crowded everything felt rushed. They have a lot of great content, but because so many people were there (and the place is smaller than imagined) it was challenging to digest it all. I would recommend going, but hope they space out the timed tickets.

Wonderful staff and a ton of different rooms! This location is larger compared to other museums of illusion we have been to and we loved seeing new illusions, such as the slanted room and the hanging city block. However, I would wait a month or so to visit until the museum is fully completed. The gift shop is not yet open and the museum has not yet implemented large interactive games. When they do so, this brand new interactive museum, with an entrance price of $25/person, will be a great place to visit for anyone in Charlotte. We will come back in a few months to check out the updates!

This was such a cool experience!! Definitely not like anything I've ever done before. I've lived in Charlotte for most of my life but visited this place for the first time today. I definitely recommend it!

Be ready to have your perspective adjusted! Great ’sets’ and illusion displays. Fun as a family to get memorable moments photographed by you or an illusion museum staff member who will arrange your group and take pictures for you. We love the photos we took there and enjoyed the time. They even had free cookies out for Mother’s Day. Parking lot is very close and has easy access to the museum. We really enjoyed our visit. I would recommend visiting this place. I don’t know if it’s a permanent exhibit or limited time display, so go now. Some fun trickery of the eyes!

What a fun place this was to visit! So many cool exhibits to see and experience. Fun and challenging brain teaser games to play and purchase. Lots of mind bending Illusions everywhere, to experience. We especially loved all of the cool exhibits where you can take a photo and make it look like a crazy epic scene from a movie! 5 out of 5 we will be going back!

We visited on a Saturday. Definitely enjoyed ourselves despite the crowd. They do have staff that can take pictures for you which was a plus. Purchase your tickets in advance. I would probably go on weekday when it's not so crowded. Parking garage was $15 so be prepared for parking fees

It was fun, last about an hour. It's self-guided but staff is there to help. It would have been better if there were more exhibits. Make sure to have a fully charged phone or camera to take cool pics. It's best to go with a partner or a group because some of the illusions need at least 2 people to get the full effect. Definitely fun for the whole family.

This place is amazing. It's not big but there's so much cool stuff packed in there. The coolest stuff are the mirror tricks of perspective and infinity, there was this gyroscope platform trick of motion, that thing was crazy, you swear you're going to fall off the platform. This place was fun for me my wife and our daughter we loved it!

I recommend going here only if you're really into pictures. The actual museum is incredibly tiny and you can get through in about 40 minutes. You HAVE to walk the way they direct you to and sometimes the workers there can pressure you into taking photos to experience some of the illusions. Once you get to the back, it's just puzzles to solve and then it's back to the front. The shop selection is also not that great, most of them are the puzzles you do, two hats, a hoodie, and some gadgets you can get cheaper elsewhere.

My daughter and I visited the museum during her birthday weekend. We had a great time. The museum is smaller than expected, but the exhibits are interactive and fun. Come with your phone fully charged for pictures.

Took my family here recently and we enjoyed ourselves! They have some pretty decent illusions and they have employees at certain attractions to instruct and help take the pics appropriately to get the right effect. It was nice because kids under 3 are free I believe. The kids had a blast. It takes about 45 mins to an hour to get thru if you’re moving efficiently but could be longer with kids or a group if you guys are really enjoying each illusion!

Pricey but worthwhile. Lots of interactive displays and great pics galore. Staff was friendly and more the. happy to explain or take pics as needed. Even kid friendly and souvenirs that’ll catch your eye. The rotating walkway chamber is the best!

This spot is incredible! It might be compact, but it's filled to the brim with fascinating attractions. The highlights include the mesmerizing mirror illusions that play with perspective and create an infinite view, and the gyroscope platform that totally tricks your sense of motion - it's wild, you'll feel like you're about to tumble off! Our whole family, including my wife and our two kids, had an absolute blast. We loved every moment!

We went on a double date to the Museum of Illusions in Charlotte, so there were 4 of us adults. We did plan ahead (not very) and decided it would be a good idea to purchase our tickets online Friday evening for Saturday at 8pm. Once we arrived, we parked in the garage directly beside the building and headed inside to the counter. Staff were friendly and informative, explaining the self-guided tour and letting us know staff were their to assist with photos. There were people waiting in line, hoping for a spot to open up (or appointments to no show), so it is a good idea to go ahead and purchase your tickets ahead of time. We were able to get a lot of awesome photos and have a great time doing something different.

We stopped in on a recommendation. Staff at the front were helpful, and the price was reasonable. The staff in exibits helped us with pictures and understanding the illusions. We had a great time "playing" around and understanding the different perspectives. Definitely will be recommending to friends who will be visiting NC.

This place was quite fun! Great exhibits that were mind boggling and educational. Highly recommend visiting and seeing this place in Charlotte. We went on a weekend and it was pretty packed but comfortable once inside. There are a lot of photo opportunities for the family and individuals. The staff is really kind and helpful offering to take photos and directing you throughout the museum. It didn’t take too long for us to look through everything so if you’re a fast museum visitor plan some more stops in Charlotte to get a nice full day of city exploration. There’s a Starbucks pick up with mobile only orders near by as well as a delicious ramen place.

What's a great place! Very cool exhibits and super friendly staff that explains things along the way and even takes your pictures at different the various exhibits. All in all cool experience and our 22 and 10 year old kids loved it! It takes about 40mins to get through it.

So much for for the entire family! I had 4 adults and 5 kiddos with me today and the staff was so SO kind and didn’t act like we were a bother. Helped us with any photos & we’re just overall so friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back and tell everyone about it! It was self guided and no time limit, it was just an absolute blast!
