Quirky literature-themed park in downtown Charlotte. Loved the Charlotte signpost designating the Charlotte, N.C. as the center of the known world. The park also has a variety of other signposts calling out great authors such as Edgar Allen Poe, James Joyce, etc. There are cool statues including two bronze towers of famous novels and an-open faced book with a unique message (see video).

I love going here. It is so pretty. The landscape and statues makes for great pictures. Bring a blanket and have a picnic or a football and play catch on the lawn. It's very close to restaurants, museums and public transportation. I always feel safe at The Green.

Someone had a great vision to create a green space in Uptown. I enjoy everything about it & especially the references to books and authors. I looked around at other people and could see them really enjoying the park. By the way, there is a public restroom in the building just beyond the β€œcolorful directional signs.” The next time you are in the area, you have got to check out The Green. Perhaps even pick up lunch and have it outside and stay a while.

Nice place to walk around. Neat features like the book sculptures and author road signs. Lacks a public bathroom as far as we could tell, and we really needed to find one!

I loved it here !!! I don't travel to Charlotte at all due to expressway anxiety. I'm 40 minutes North of the green but it was well worth it. It had a calm vibe to it. It's small enough to see different shops and displayed art , within 15 minutes. I took my time though with picture taking and going in stores. There's so much around here. I suggest walking around and going in all buildings with beautiful architecture. I didn't post those here cause they aren't part of The Green park but I highly recommend this little gem, smack dab in the middle of downtown Charlotte !!!! Loved β€πŸ’—

I use this location for photo shoots often. It’s a cute little park uptown with decent views and restaurants located within. It’s conveniently located with the convention center and museums on either side. A gem in the hustle and bustle of uptown. The green parking deck makes it easily accessible.

Cute, literary themed park in Uptown Charlotte. My favorite spot Uptown to chill, have a cup of tea and people watch ☺️

Went to the Charlotte SHOUT art festival. Saw the Eggs on the green (Easter eggs decorated by various artists), street art and urban phorphorescence in uptown. Had fun!

Attended the SHOUT Charlotte Festival on The Green with family. It was so much fun. Art, entertainment, and food trucks. (The photos are primarily from the festival I attended. ) The Green is lovely. Lots of places to sit or bring a blanket and relax on the lawn. You can even bring your dog. There is street parking with pay meters, as well as an indoor garage next door. It is $3 for the first half an hour and then $3 for every 20 minutes after that. There are lots of restaurants nearby. It's a nice place to go with family when you don't want to spend a lot of money.

The weather was nice and someone suggested we get some food nearby and eat in the park, there was plenty of seating and things to view and people to watch. So we did that.

Beautiful garden and we met some really nice people that were Jehovah's Witnesses there. They helped us find great spots for lunch
