Great Gym! Not only do they have excellent machines, free weights, cardio options, but they also have a Pool. Back home, gyms never have a Pool because of space. It is very well packed YMCA location. They got basketball court, running track ,swimming pool (which unfortunately closed at the moment) , weights , cardio area and even CrossFit (sort of) room . Environment is clean and in great condition. Not sure how busy this place gets, when I was there it was barely any people . Highly recommend

Urban Y visits around the country is one of my passions. Pool, track and weights were great. The yoga/stretch room is off the main facility and needs some love.

Great environment, it's clean and has all the equipment. There is also a pool, punching bag ,and my favorite -the indoor track. The staff is also great, very pleasant and welcoming. It's a clean place, with a tranquil tone. I have been a patron for several years ,and I have never regretted my membership.

I love the basketball set up. The pool is very nice. Spacious locker rooms WITH towels provided! Pool is not deep, but sufficient for laps. 4 stars because I dislike the old weight equipment and it is rather dirty. They validate parking on the weekdays AFTER 430 pm so keep that in mind if you are parking and want to avoid fees. Saturday and Sunday are free parking all day. Generally slow on the weekends. Busy on weekdays.

Great location for popping in on a lunch break if you work uptown. The steam room and sauna are a bit tight and there's no hot tub. Lockers are plentiful and it's very clean. They're updating the cardio area right now, so be aware of that if you are going to this location. Lunch break hours are busy, but weekends aren't too bad.

I go 3 time a week. Clean and every station has desinfecting wipees. I love the walking track.

Always love this gym because of the variety of equipment and classes offered! I just wish we had even more classes to choose from! Demi's classes are the best! Great trainer!

Went here for free as a Guest from the Hotel in the same building. The Gym is massive with a basketball court, big swimming pool, cardio-, endurance- and strength area with weights. Therefore no waiting to use any of the machines/facilities/ weights. Some of the weights seemed rather old and I personally don't see the connection of fitness and faith. Overall nice spacious gym!

I’ve never actually used this gym but I’ve had the absolute pleasure of dealing with the wonderful ladies at the front desk and this place deserves 5 stars for them alone. They are so kind and made my morning!! Keep being amazing!! (YMCA they deserve a raise)

These people were rude and disrespectful. I have been paying for my membership there for over five years; even with the COVID-19 pandemic, I never stopped paying. I had an issue with my bank card, and they were unwilling to work with me. The front desk was rude, and the manager, Paul, was rude.

One of the nicest YMCA I have been to (mostly Canada). Plenty of equipment and workout space, with basketball court, indoor track, swimming pool, and very very friendly staff!

A victim of its own success and some structural issues. Before Wells Fargo came back this was an escape from the crazy crowds of Dowd. It has everything you need, if not a lot of weights comparatively, and first rate locker facilities. Now? Too many people have added 5-10 minutes of weight time onto workouts. And the aerobic classes in the middle basketball make it Impossible to hear your own music. Good but busy, the story of the Y as gym in Charlotte.
