Park

👍👍 This is a very clean, spacious and we'll maintained park. It has trails around the lake, picnic tables and pavilions, and a little history. It is very dogfriendly with poop bag stations. There is a demonstration gardens at one end by the parking lot, a children playground a short walk from the demon... People often mention park,

This is a very clean, spacious and we'll maintained park. It has trails around the lake, picnic tables and pavilions, and a little history. It is very dogfriendly with poop bag stations. There is a demonstration gardens at one end by the parking lot, a children playground a short walk from the demonstration garden at the same end of f the lake. It a great place for all ages. There is also a nature center next to the lake and another trail.

Simply breathtaking, no words can describe. Looks like a scene in a Disney movie.

People are just happier here as the perception of perfection is a pond us. In Freedom Park I have found the Fountain of Ewwwf. ?Porque¿ because it’s magnificent! The water dances like jello to say hello to you in the most beautiful of hue. #NoFilter. It could be bottled in a cleverly shaped glass container and sold for $9.99 in the nearest Whole Foods with claims of detoxing one’s soul. Probably not a good idea…but you know what I mean.

Nice spring walk around the lake. Warm in the sun, cool in the shade. Park was well kept except one end of lake where a lot of trash and debris was collecting. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and keeping distance and for the most part, considerate of others. The park is huge with plenty of opportunity to stretch ones legs and bike riding options. Plenty of couples and families taking advantage of the good weather and seeing different faces.

Where I go to walk and decompress! A really pretty and safe park in the heart of Charotte. Plenty of options here from picnicking, basketball, baseball, wandering, chilling with family etc…one of my fave parks in the Queen City!

I have been going to this park since I was a small child. I always enjoyed fishing here (catch and release). Its a calm environment. Great place to roller blade, skate, bike or jog. There is a nature trail which is awesome. There is always something going on out here. Its simply awesome! Fun fact. If the record still holds, the largest fish caught in the city limits was caught here. I think it was 20lbs (a catfish). I was there the day that a older gentleman caught him. That was many years ago. I have so many memories here. I have never had any issues out there. And today my children love it as much as I did...and do!

Great place for walking, running, biking, dog walking, picnics, etc. There are some drainage issues after high volumes of rain, but apparently there are schedule MD renovations in the next 1-2 years.
