One of the best, if not the best, greenways in all of Mecklenburg County. The Tyvola entrance has parking and within minutes, you’re surrounded by nature on both sides of the paved greenway. This is a great place for walkers, runners, cyclists, people walking dogs, etc. If you go north on the greenway, you’re heading toward Myers Park and Park Road Shopping Center. You’ll pass under Tyvola. You can easily access restaurants and coffee shops within a couple miles. If you want more nature, go south on the greenway toward Archdale. Plenty of benches and places to spread out. You’ll have Little Sugar Creek running alongside you the entire way. If you’re on a bike, you can currently ride all the way to the Polk Park in Pineville.

Nice peaceful trail with lots of ground in between gives you feel of jogging. Many small bridges on the way. Good paved road enables for cycling, jogging and walking. Ample amount of parking on trail head on Tyvola road. There are many approach road connects to this trail from so many places in between.

A rare 5* from me. Nice 7 mile long (14 mile round trip) bike ride 🚴 on a paved Greenway from Tyvola Road South to the Polk memorial in Pineville. No grade-level roads to cross - all underpasses. Little Sugar Creek is alongside the whole way. Wide pavement, no trouble passing pedestrians. Excellent condition. Plenty of parking on the Tyvola lot on a beautiful, late March Friday afternoon (75°, sunny), but I'd guess it can fill up on a nice weekend. (More parking across the street, a sign says).🚦onto Tyvola makes an easy exit to that busy road. Several neighborhood parks along the way with more parking. Huntingtown has 3 little lots. No bathrooms? I saw one Porta Potty. You can also park at the Polk Memorial (and use the bathroom?). They even have a bike rack. But they close the gate at 5 pm.🚧

Great Greenway and trail system. Large parker lot with more parking across Tyvola. From here you can hit the Greenway for a run or take your kids on a walk through the mountain biking trails.

Great spot to park and jump on the greenway. The greenway has bridges, elevations, and you can learn about the water treatment in our lovely city. Great spot to park and ride bikes to Park Road Park with kids.

I met a friend for a walk, she’s going through a rough time, and we had a very enjoyable walk. We went 4.5 miles out and back. There was bathroom along the route and several markers to turn around. We saw several deer (4:00-6:00) and felt very safe. There were other bikers, walkers, as well as people enjoying the pickleball courts and playgrounds.
