I hate to write a negative review, but the meal had today was really shocking for the poor, poor value. What you're looking at is a £10.50 buttermilk chicken burger, which includes chips. Not only was the buttermilk chicken burger tiny, the chips were lukewarm. I don't think this picture does it justice, but this isn't much bigger than a slider. Our starter of calamari and prawns were three tiny pieces of each, mostly consisting of heavy breading. The calamari was especially odd, as they were straight rather than rings. Everything arrived at the same time. The shock about this was that I've had some really nice lunches here before--great food, cooked well, generous portions--but this was just really poor. My companion's cheeseburger had cheese on it that was flat like a playing card. There was no chance of it melting because the burger and the bacon held no heat whatsoever. Staff were pleasant but not very efficient. 15 minutes after ordering via app, we eventually had someone come over to ask if we'd like to order a meal. So things are sitting around a bit in the kitchen.

I honestly enjoy myself every time I come here! The service is always fantastic. I think that being next to the station brings an interesting crowd – not exactly trendy – but I kinda like it.

A great venue in a great location with friendly staff and quality food and drinks. The quiz night every Monday is always packed and is brilliantly hosted by Angus who is a real pro. I recommend it to everyone!

Decent bar, but food very average and expensive. Had a burger, which had gristle and what seemed like bone in it. Tasted like a 1980s budget burger. Lukewarm as were the chips. Also had Mac and cheese which was better. Toilets not the cleanest at 5pm in the afternoon. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Came in Saturday for food and to watch the match. Food was served quickly and was very tasty . The atmosphere with the match was fun and friendly. We were served by Jess who was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble . Def will be coming back again

Decent pub but like a few others, had my handbag stolen from where we were sat. Considering the amount of theft that has happened and been reported here, would be good to have some signs up or some kind of reinforcements. Appreciate it’s not the staff’s job to handle these things but it’s not a nice experience and if it’s something that happens “up to three times a week” perhaps the establishment needs to consider alternative measures.

Had my bag stolen in here and the staff were very unhelpful. Wouldn’t even let me look at CCTV without police presence and police obviously aren’t going to come. Police said they would stop by a few days later but I doubt that very much. They definitely need to do more to help in this situation… from the reviews I can see this is a very frequent occurrence so some additional measures would be a courtesy from the venue

Ordered the plant based vegan bharji burger, then came a beef burger. Took one bite, they then said you have to specify it was a vegan burger before ordering but the menu said vegan and plant based, so it was our fault… just watch out if you are veggie. Didn’t seem to care of the mistake. A shame as usually a decent pub

Having done some research on pubs in London who serves Guinness 0.0 I could find 2 pubs that potentially serve it. The famous CT was one of them. On entering the pub you can see the 0.0 micro draught pump in the centre of the bar which was a great start. Unfortunately they didn’t have any of the cans. Wasted trip.

Cannot recommend this bar & Angus’ Monday night quiz highly enough. All the staff are so kind and helpful, food & drink is excellent, and the general atmosphere is fab. The best quiz in London I’d say, a real learning experience :) 10/10

been a regular here for a long time now. most of the staff are incredibly polite and welcoming. However, last night was a very different story. I took a group of friends here for something to eat and a few drinks. We found a table without a reservation note, we sat there and had our food. About an hour in we were confronted by one member of staff and a group. The member of staff without even any sense of an apology told us that they didn't put the note out but the table had been reserved and so we would have to 'get up and move'. Then the member of staff started discussing it with the group who the table was reserved for and loudly said he doesn't care that we had ordered drinks the table was not for them. When I explained why there was an issue he then said he was not talking to me and that we just had to move. This was deeply embarrassing as I had only ever praised this establishment. A real shame as well as I enjoy coming here.

Always a fun night out at this place. Staff are brilliant, as is the Monday night pub quiz. Cocktails are 2 for £10-11 so prices are really good for London standard. Highly recommend it to anyone

Poor managerial skills. Became very defensive when I told them about an offer which wasn’t working on an app they were proudly representing (MIXR) and promoting.

Excellent venue that plays host to an incredible pre/post-match army of arsenal fans. Strongly recommend dropping in here before hitting the rocket up!

Massively overpriced and left after one drink as the TV was so loud with the football commentary we couldn't hear ourselves speak. In short if you want to leave with an empty wallet and an appointment at the audiologist this is your place.

Went there on a match day and it was absolutely packed. I called a few days before so I had a table booked. They were very courteous and quite quick service. The food was good especially the chicken wrap and the nachos. The onion rings weren’t very tasty. Aside from that we had a great experience.

Popped in here unplanned on the way back from a local event I was attending. As luck would have it there was a game on which I was intending to watch. I ordered some food. Tried something different. A pizza cone. Seemed nice in its description. A pizza cone with cheesy chips and beef burned ends. Sounded great, looked good too. The delivery was however way short of expectations. There were and I kid you not two burnt ends mounted on top of a small mountain of liquid cheese drowned chips which unfortunately made the pizza too sickly to eat. All for £23 with a pint. Poor value in my eyes.

Absolute must do experience if you're a Gooner and you're new to visiting The Emirates. Bar staff friendly and efficient under some serious pressure on match day.

We went on a Sunday evening and were so pleased that the kitchen was serving until 21:00. Plentiful vegan options! Friendly atmosphere.

Nice pub with friendly staff! Decent separate function room with powerful built in sound system! I used their system to DJ a private party down there!

Wait 30 mins for two espresso martinis- we were the only people here! Cocktails were watery and disgusting, I complained and they blamed the coffee? Offered new cocktail so got two cheaper cocktails and they were actually cheaper but i had already paid. No apology, no free shot, no refund. Replacement cocktail was also awful, truly the worst cocktails I’ve ever had.

Busy train pub. Decent cocktails and choice of food. A little bit slow and got our drinks mixed up but had a good crowd in to watch a match and a good atmosphere around.

Had a few drinks here and meal before going to a concert locally. Great pub with good beer choice. Food was good value and tasty. Cant fault it.

Staff and beer are great, and the food has always been very decent, too. There are some quirks and interesting features, some old and some new, and it's worth reading the verses on the walls. More than anything, though, the location is fabulous next to Highbury & Islington station, but that also means it gets very busy (especially on matchdays). On the downside, there is no outside seating.

Lovely pub close to Highbury and Islington station. Nice selection of beers. We had the burger deal...13 pound , burger, fries and craft beer. Tasty burger . Really recommend

Nice little pub actually...right next door to Highbury and Islington station. Not very busy when I went there, though it was a Tuesday lunchtime. Its nice to be able to talk without shouting at each other 😁 Good food and a few booth areas with really comfy leather seats too.

The lovely guy... barman/manager put the air-conditioning on for me. A really nice friendly pub, clean & spacious. We wanted to eat in there but had to pick our daughter up from work....another time!

Visited the pub a few days ago. Service was good and one member of staff (Freddie I believe he was called) was particularly welcoming and helpful with helping me and my friends choose drinks and a good meal. Was very pleased with the experience and can’t wait to come back.

Visited after Mgla concert at Garage. Can't go wrong with name like that. I'd say usual British pub, very busy, but service was lighting fast from I believe Lithuanian lady: was serving me and taking order from other person: that's a skill in my book. Bit too loud for my liking but I don't complain. They know how to serve Guinness which is not that common anymore.

Nice little pub, near the station, with booths, each with its own screen - so a sports pub then I suppose.... The top thing is the provision of USB plug sockets all over the place, which I really really like so 5 stars for this from me, this pub (apart from serving some great food and drinks), is or could be a life saver, or just make things that bit easier for folks with last few bars on their phone battery... I know I know but its a thing..

Brilliant night! Great ambiance for our event, great food also. We were very well looked after by Rob and his amazing team, who went the extra mile to ensure we all had a lovely evening. Highly recommend.

I usually avoid pubs near stations, unless I'm travelling, as they're often over priced. Yes, it is overpriced but not too much and definitely far superior than a wetherspoons. Nice atmosphere, a band was playing outside. Very cool.

The layout was great but have to say the tables were very sticky. Price wise it was also very good. Staff are polite. Nice idea to have TV in the booths.

Anna and her colleague Mia were amazing for the bottomless brunch (although it was more dinner since it started at 4pm), they made sure our glasses were never empty and constantly asked if we needed anything else or anymore drinks. One of the best bottomless brunches I’ve been to for drinks. The food was alright but who really does to a bottomless brunch for food?

They have advertised that they were showing the rugby… don’t be fooled. The pub should stick to what it does best and list football only. Dreadful experience, I left 10 minutes into the rugby game and thankfully 4 mins on tube ended up in Finsbury Park, the Twelve pins, where the Rugby was shown proudly and comfortably. Will never go back!
