Went here for our anniversary dinner and boy were we blown away with how good the food was. The pizza and Mac and cheese was some of, if not THE best I've ever had. Steak was cooked to perfection. The spiced cheesecake was like if Apple pie, pumpkin pie and cheese cake had a love child. Atmosphere/service were great. Couldn't say better things or reccomend this place any higher!

I came here for dinner with my girlfriend and friend. My friend suggested this place as a good place to visit. We're moving to town, and this was a great place to visit for sure! It's nice to see that it's a rotating seasonal menu. I had the rainbow trout and collard greens and the tomato basil bisque; both are fantastic! My friend loved his brussel sprouts and his skirt steak(?). He loved it so much that he bought the chef who made it a beer. Will be back again.

We had a terrible experience at this place. The waiter was completely aloof. We were a party of 9 and he suggested we order appetizers. There is not a section in the menu called appetizers, so we asked him what he would recommend, he started reading dish by dish and sides, to then said: pretty much you can order anything as an appetizer. The menu was confusing and we had to Google lots of items to find out more about the ingredients. We decided to order the charcuterie board and onion rings to have as an appetizer . We didn't see the waiter for at least half an hour, not once he asked if we wanted water. The charcuterie board arrived with lots of burnt toast. The onion rings didn't arrive. When they brought our food they had wrong lots of the dinner plates, they swapped some main meals for Mac and cheese, one of our salmons was missing, and oh surprise the "appetizer" onion rings arrived while we were already eating the main curse. We asked one of the waiters for the salmon and other side items, he said they could start making them. We had been there for over 40 minutes. We decided to cancel the order. We had to share our food with our friends that didn't get their food. The waiter didn't come back until the end to check how we were going to pay. We had to constantly call him to order drinks, otherwise he would have come. There was no more customers in the first floor besides us, yet he didn't mind to offer good service. Terrible service, ok food but not good enough for the price paid. Nine of us weren't happy with this place. We will not be back and I do not recommend it. I give 2 stars because my peach salad was decent.

Great place to dine in downtown Charlotte. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Spectrum Center. The menu has something for everyone. The food is reasonably priced and expertly prepared. You definitely get a lot of food for the cost. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and give great suggestions. I will definitely be back when attending an event in the area.

Rooster’s used to be one of my favorite places to go for dinner. Unfortunately, they didn’t live up to past experiences. This was my $24 salmon, that was supposed to be cooked Medium (it was also supposed to be 6oz 😏). As you can see this was smaller than half my palm smh! The waiter was nice, but the manager came by and tried to sell me on this being 6oz. 🤦🏾‍♂️. Should have just fixed me a new one that was actually cooked medium and actually a decent size.

If you're looking for a wood-fired kitchen restaurant in the Uptown area, then this is one to check out. The food was good with nice (mild) flavors. They have a large wine and beer selection. The environment is adult casual. The staff was friendly. Note: Google says this is a southern comfort food restaurant, but I'd more call it a high-end American restaurant with a "melting pot" inspired menu cooked on a wood fired grill. We had the pizza and salmon and you could definitely taste the grill flavors. Pro Tip: They have an upstairs and downstairs area. If you're going on a busy night, you'll want to make reservations. We were a walk in and the downstairs area is "community seating" meaning you may share a table with others. I gave it four stars, because it was a good overall experience, but not have to go back.

I had a fantastic time at Roosters to start off our Charlotte adventure. Our bartender Andrew is one of the best in the city, offering up hand crafted cocktails, amazingly fresh food for lunch, and more hospitality than you could imagine. His recommendations were spot on and made this one of our new favorite places to check out in the city!

I love the concept of this place. They shop local and create a menu around what's good. It's expensive, but I feel like it's priced exactly how it should be. Eating out should be an occasional thing with cost factored in. I got the potato gnocchi, which included chicken and spring vegetables. It was cooked to perfection. But, one little thing and this isn't a complaint, and probably just a personal preference, it really could have used some salt. My daughter got THE best burger I've ever had. Maybe the burger got all the salt. Anyway, the waite staff was super attentive and made great recommendations. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable (to each their own on the wall decor 😂) - I will definitely try this place again!

Attended Rooster’s for the first time before heading to a Hornets game as a early Christmas gift. It was one of the best dining experiences I had in 2022. Carly our server was fantastic, and super knowledgeable about the menu which I appreciate. She was accommodating to all of our requests and timely in doing so. Starting off the pizza and bisque were outstanding. The bisque had a velvety texture and smooth tomato flavor complimented by the basil oil and salty goat cheese. The pizza was equally delicious and simple which I think is the best and allowed for the good ingredients to shine. Olives are a no for me, but my girlfriend enjoyed them so I’d say they pass the test as well. Lastly, the faux shrimp & grits I ordered was really well done. Shrimp grilled perfectly, with the Calabrian chili butter to give it another layer of flavor. Paired with creamy grits, you can’t go wrong. The star of the night however was the pork tenderloin. Perfectly cooked and nothing goes better with pork then apple. The two combined with the butternut squash on the side was the perfect bite. Overall, a gem of a restaurant in Charlotte and I highly recommend this place if you have yet to go.

They were booked and we didn't have a reservation. They were still able to accommodate us. We were quick in ordering and their service was fast so it worked out for all of us. The food was great. We got a bunch of small plates to share and everything tasted really good.

My first time trying this place and it was great! Menu is a little limited but that’s ok. I had the Brussels with bacon and a seasonal alcoholic bevvie. Both were really good. I love the atmosphere in here. I stopped in before going to a jazz show across the street, and they had a special menu that I could get a discount on if I showed my show ticket. Can never go wrong saving money lol

Lunch here was the best meal I have eaten at an American restaurant. The service was impeccable. Attention was given to detail without effort and in a friendly Southern manner. We we tempted to lick our plates! Burger was high quality and tasty. Desserts were wonderful. You must get the coconut cake.

My son and I stopped in for a meal after the Saints vs Panthers game. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was average but there was only a couple of servers and we sat outside so that has to be considered. Very reasonable prices considering this place is downtown. Socal distancing is practiced here so I can appreciate that effort. Oh yeah, you have to try those egg rolls, you will not be disappointed 🙂

I came alone on workcation (from Atlanta) and was impressed with this spot. With the downstairs /upstairs set up, this restaurant is perfect for any occasion. The menu is a la carte, so heads up, you'll need to order an entree + sides separately. I got the grilled salmon, brussels, and au gratin potatoes. The potatoes were excellent. The salmon and brussels were pretty good but the potatoes were the star of the show. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The only struggle of the evening was parking--I parked in a deck, then took an elevator to an escalator. Other than that, great drinks and food. Watch out for the bill, it creeps up on you like a really good drink 😅

One of the best meals we've had!! First of all, the place looks nice, cosy, and inviting. The bartender/waiter was very friendly and the service we got was amazing. He also made us great, balanced, and flavorful cocktails. The food was amazing!! We got the spinach salad, which was fresh and had an amazing dressing to it. A flank steak sandwich with pickled jalapenos that gave it a nice kick, with a side of incredible grits with bacon bits. And we also got the side of Mac and cheese that were creamy and delicious. We finished our meal with a chocolate cake, with salted caramel, that was one of the best I ever had, and a scoop of whipped cream. Surprisingly the dish was not as sweet as I thought, and was a great ending to the meal. We also got the coconut cake, which was simple but very good, and again, not too sweet. It is definitely a great place, with impeccable service, and amazing food and drinks. I'll definitely try and come back here before I leave!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere is rustic and lovely. The pork loin was delicious, along with the Potatoes Gratin and Margaux (Corn) This meal was very enjoyable and would recommend to anyone in the area!

My husband and l ate here on our anniversary which just so happens to be NYE. We didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar. We luckily didn’t have to wait. Our servers were both absolutely lovely and knew the menu so well. We asked for recommendations and they were quick to offer suggestions. The food was great and they even surprised us with a celebratory dessert. While the food was amazing, I have to say that the service is what will bring us back again and again. I wish I had asked the names of the two men who waited on us. They were phenomenal!

The food was great. Loved the bar atmosphere. When we got to the table it was close to the chefs area. It was a little loud for a quiet dinner. If you can get seated farther from the kitchen I think it's an amazing place. I had a half bbq chicken and fries which was awesome. The portions are large and easily shareable. My wife had the flank steak and butter beans which she said brought her back to her childhood. Overall a great place to eat.

The Smoked Old Fashion and Sugar and Spice cocktails were excellent. The Brussels sprouts, beets, and potatoes gratin were superb. My steak however was almost inedible. Cooked perfectly to the temp requested (mid-rare) and the sauce was tasty however the meat was tough I spot more of it discreetly into my napkin than I actually ate. I will definitely come back if I'm in Charlotte again, I just won't order the steak.

Let's start with the negatives....there are none....this place was spot on, had a few items never would've had, amazing, the buffalo chicken skins, was one of them. Recommended items: buffalo chicken skins, potato gnocchi with chicken, butternut squash and cabbage all mixed into a bowl, the scallops, and fingerling purple potatoes. There was a chef checking all food prior to going out. Service was spot on, they even validated our parking ticket.

Great service, atmosphere was chill, and food was delicious. Brussel sprout appetizer was delish! Wood fired pizza, best cheese! The entrees were both great too. I enjoyed our waiter and even the hostess was on point!! Recommend all around! Love a place with all the good vibes and smiles!

We visited this establishment on our Houston Texans vs. Panthers game trip. My husband and I were very disappointed in our dinner. We ordered a simple meal of Rotisserie chicken pizza, Mac n cheese, farm raised burger & fries. Unfortunately, the hamburger was extremely overcooked with crunchy edges, and the taste was char- bland. The Mac n cheese was also bland ,the cheese was not the star that it could have been. Surprisingly, the Rotisserie chicken was well executed and had great flavor! Our waiter started good, but quickly forgot about us. It took 25 minutes to get our order taken. Thankfully, we didn't wait long on the food to arrive. By mid meal we had anew waiter, which engaged more and was very pleasant. I never like to complain during my meal, but this was mid-pricey and I wish I would have voiced my disappointment.
