I really wanted to love this place as I've heard so many good things about it. But our experience didn't go as well as I wanted to. We tried three different appetizers and they were all amazing. We had high expectations for the entrees, the tagliolini was good but not something you would come back for. The Linguini would've have been good if the noodles weren't undercooked, twice. I told the server about it and he took our plate away and replaced it with a new one. But the new plate has the exact same issue. My gf didn't even finish it so we just asked for the check and left. Overall the food experience is not the reason why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4 or 5. They service was very disappointing. From the when we first got there we felt like our server didn't care too much to serve us. He did job but just at the bare minimum because he had to. The table next to us got checked on 5 times to our every 1. It was like we were being avoided for some reason. I had to ask him to help me with the menu as I didn't understand some of the words, he did but forcefully. I even told him it's our first time here and was hoping that he would explain things to us further. With a full plate of food he never even asked if we wanted a to go box and didn't even bother offering us dessert like how he did the table next to us. It was a completely different vibe when he talked to them compared to how he talked to us. It literally ruined our very rare date night. The people who brought us our food just dropped off our plates and walked away every single time. I thanked them each time as they were walking away, still not a single word from them. There was no "enjoy your meal", "how was everything so far", nothing of that sort. Even though we wanted dessert and coffee at the end, we decided to just leave to go somewhere else for it. Needless to say, we definitely won't be coming back no matter how good the bread and appetizers were. It's just not worth being treated differently than the people around us.

Had a nice time at Stagioni’s! My boyfriend made a reservation through their website, they give you the option of selecting what kind of seating you’d prefer (between dining room, patio, and high top). They hold your reservation for 15 mins after your time if you’re running late. We opted for the dining room and the atmosphere screams “date night”: Dim lighting, intimate atmosphere, small tables etc. The website led us to believe it’s a fancier place, but when we called to see if there was a dress code of any kind they said it was casual and comfortable. I felt the pricing was appropriate (tab ended around $150 after an appetizer, 3 drinks, 2 pastas, and 2 desserts). That being said the entree portions were on the smaller side so that led to us getting an extra drink and two desserts. The food itself was good, it didn’t blow my mind but I definitely didn’t leave disappointed. This isn’t a place I’d go too often but it’s worth the experience!

Some of these reviews of "small portions" and "crowded and loud atmosphere" are just comical. It's honestly the most Charlotte thing ever. Have y'all traveled outside the Carolinas? Scissors for pizza? Common outside of the states. Our server was great, the food was delicious, we ordered too much because of these stupid reviews.

Lovely place. We loved everything. The meatballs and focaccia to start with. Rigatoni and ravioli for the main, accompanied by a superb glass of Super Tuscan. Compliments to the chef and beverage director!!

Such an amazing night. The food was phenomenal especially the muscles and the mortadella pizza! Definitely an amazing date night spot.

Had a great experience at Stagioni in Charlotte, NC. Really pretty interior and cozy. Was dark- probably good for a date night. The food was really good. I had the ricotta trio- was 3 servings of ricotta cheese with herb, honey and truffle. It came with pizza bread. Was flavorful and delicious and the bread was perfectly salted. I had the little queen pasta- had short rib and broccoli rabe. Was probably one of the best pastas I’ve had in Charlotte but the portion was small and it was expensive ($32). For dessert I had a scoop of the brownie gelato. Was super chocolately and had great texture. My friend didn’t have the best experience. She ordered the mussels and one was bad but they took it back and refunded her. She’s also gluten intolerant and she ordered the gluten free chocolate cake. It came with biscotti but she wasn’t sure if that was gluten free (it was). I feel like the server should have mentioned that first. Still giving it 5 stars bc those things are minor. Will definitely go back and try other things. Oh- the parking is horrible- give yourself 10 mins.

I have not had every pizza in Charlotte to know for sure but this was by far the best pizza I have had in Charlotte. Pepperoni and Cheese to absolute perfection. The flavor was out of this world. The pacing of the food was great from apps, to entrees, to dessert. Enough time to sit back digest and have a drink if you so choose to. Everything else we had was great including a special app they had for just the night. Plan a date night or group dinner and enjoy yourself.

I cannot be more pleased with my first experience at Stagioni last night! Our server Tony was personable and made all the right suggestions for us, from our bottle of wine to our dessert. The food was exceptional and perfectly proportioned. We will definitely be back again soon!

Unusually Good food but very small portions and so loud your head will hurry afterwords. Prices are high which would be fine if the portions were larger. Six ravoli for $31. But great ravoli and great sauce.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Host staff were friendly and seated us quickly even though we were early. Food and service were outstanding. Our server Jen was efficient, informative & extremely nice. Meatballs & octopus appetizers were great, stuffed zucchini and carrots sides were perfect. The wild boar rotolo and scallops were perfect. Get the zeppolis for dessert. This was my first visit and I am now a fan and cannot wait to go back, great restaurant.

Pulled into the parking lot at 5:30 pm on a Saturday night not expecting to see a waiting line. The doors opened and we asked for a table and we were seated immediately but was told our table was reserved for 7:45 pm. Unusual, yes. Bad hostess, yes. Tell the server not the clients. The server, Tony, was prompt and attentive. He offered recommendations and a jovial sense of humor. We ordered Mussels and Charred Octopus. Both delicious. Octopus was a little skimpy but the mussels were plentiful for three of us to enjoy. The endless bread bags were helpful with the abundant sauce in the mussels. Two orders of lamb tortellini, one halibut special, and a bottle of Chianti, we were satisfied but still interested in dessert. Cappuccinos, Cannoli box, and Zeppoli, extremely satisfied. Then, came the bill. It is a bit pricey but we enjoyed the meal, the service, and the ambiance. All those costs.

It is an upscale restaurant, but food quantity is meager and prices are high. Food and service were good, but can't justify the portions and price for other good options you could get elsewhere

Giving 4 stars specifically for our waitress Jenny. My wife and I wanted to enjoy ourselves and have a date night. When we walked in the host asked us if we had a reservation. When we told him no he wasn’t exactly kind in letting us know what was available. He took us to our seats we waited for some time before the food-runner girl was not very polite at all in telling us that we needed to move a seat for other customers (there was a single seat between us and the other couple). It had been several minutes and then Jenny arrived to greet my wife and I. She was so sweet she changed the whole experience. We ordered the pepperoni and sausage, and butternut squash pizzas, a side of broccoli, zeppoli for dessert and a glass of Chianti and I got the Zenzero whisky cocktail. Pizzas and broccoli were truly outstanding. The Chianti was nice as well. My wife and I would definitely come back for the quality of the food. It was strange that while sitting at the pizza bar, the BOH staff was generally more kind and personable with guests than the FOH staff. Jenny saved the experience and represented this restaurant well. More pricy than I would like especially considering the less than stellar experience provided by the other FOH staff.

Stagioni is one of the best Italian restaurants in Charlotte! Don’t let the price tag shock you, because it is worth every penny. Make sure to leave room for the Zeppoli for dessert!

It's a smaller-sized restaurant. Very dim inside. Somewhat noisy and the tables are very close together. There's lots of great choices to pick from on the menu. We started with a beet salad which was so delicious and we're not even big fans of beets. Then we had the truffle pizza, which was incredible! So flavorful with a hint of sweetness to it from the onions! It's fun how they bring out a big pair of shears for you to slice your own pizza. We loved that it stayed warm very long compared to other pizza places with similar styles of pizza. We finished our meal by splitting the truffle pasta, which was also very good. For dessert, we ordered the zeppole. We weren't told anything about a delay or a longer wait time for this specific desert. After about 10 minutes of waiting the server came by to tell us it would be it a little bit longer. After another five minutes, he came back to tell us that it would still be a little longer wait and right before leaving mentioned about 15 more minutes. At this point in time, it was already past 9:30. We didn't have the time to wait, so we had to cancel our order. The restaurant was still packed. We were a little bummed we couldn't finish off our celebratory dinner with dessert but still had a good experience!

The food and service are impeccable worth every penny you spend. We had the onion soup, salad, charcuterie, lobster, short ribs, and pasta.... A smorgasbord of deliciousness! The service was perfect and the wine selection a bit pricey, but you already can imagine that at a 4Star restaurant. Get ready to have a memorable occasion when you done here.

We came here for our anniversary dinner, and it was just perfect. We started with the raw oysters and squash blossoms. The squash blossom dish is unique, and was one of my favorites of the evening. Then we went with two pastas and the swordfish for the next course. I can’t remember the name, but the truffle pasta with porcini was fantastic. Favorite dish. We ended with the zeppoli, which was a fairly large portion compared to the other dishes. Five dishes plus dessert was the right amount for us. Great meal and service!

Very nice restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date. I ordered pizza for pickup and it was just ok. Nothing special about the pizza at all, especially for being $23 for a 14”. With that being said I will be returning to dine in but will NOT be ordering pizza from here again

For our starter we had the wood fired pizza with pepperoni and sausage and got to experience the unique pizza scissors. Enjoyed Gnocchi with Duck Confit and the Pork with Risotto entree. All three of these menu items were sensational. Also tried their Boulevardier cocktail and it was very good. The only knock on this place is that it is pretty expensive for an interior environment that’s very well done but not offering some special view, location, or ambiance — but the food really is top notch and service was on point. Go for the incredible food and enjoy the conversation with your significant other.

  • 5/5 Jess A. 2 years ago on Google
Very delicious. The side veggies and mini loaf were great size and cost and delicious. The pasta entrees were amazing, the black pepper pasta and gnocchi were incredible. Portions were slightly small for the cost even if they were in line with what should be eaten. Would recommend and return.

I want to rate this as a five-star review however, staff seems to be a little disconnected and evasive. I wouldn't say neglectful but seemed to leave the tables alone alot more than I would expect at this caliber of restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic! The menu changes but a couple of defaults that never disappoint are the pizza and the soups. It's a little pricey of a place for pizza but they are good. And the soup is Seinfeld level good. Hands down some of the best I've had. I've also done the pesce and the scallops and they were perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. Both are full of flavors and top self quality. Parking can be a beast here.

I would say 5 stars for the food but I’m gonna go with 4 because of how crowded and loud it was. Our server Michael was great, kept everything moving and was around as needed. The food was fantastic - the focaccia and ricotta trio were top notch. I’m still thinking about that the next day. Absolutely would return. We had a table for 4 and one person didn’t end up coming. Our table for 4 was up against the wall and 2 of the seats basically had no room to back up. By the end of the meal when there were a few tables right behind us, I could barely hear the person sitting next to me at this small table. Next time I’ll opt for outdoor seating.

  • 4/5 El G. 1 year ago on Google
Server Kelly was great. Bar drinks, pizza, meatballs and zeppoli were delectable. Tagliatelli was WAY overpriced in comparison to our other meal items at $30, especially since it was watery-bland, totally flavorless and disappointing. If I could go back in time and un-order that, it would've been a five-star meal. Super-casual vibe is great, just don't arrive expecting white-tablecloth experience.

Stagioni is consistently amazing. My recommendation is to get as many small plates as possible for your table, then finish off with an Affogato.

So much yum to be had tonight. Having just spent last weekend in Portugal, lavishing in dinners which took hours and were events, it was lovely to find a restaurant in CLT which facilitated the same type of journey. Wonderful wine selection, fresh and inventive dishes, and great coffee and gelato to finish it all off.

Certainly very good food. Sat at the bar and Russ gave good advice. Got the lamb and it was delicious. Gnocchi was also very good. So no complaints about the food or they service. But... this place is pretty expensive. I don’t mind spending big money if the experience seems worth it. But not sure Stagioni makes the cut. Wait staff is wearing t-shirts. Clientele seemed to be a jeans and T-shirt crowd. Nothing wrong with that but for the price I was expecting something very much more upscale. So I walked out feeling... I dunno... I guess a little let down. I won’t tell anyone to not go there... but I think for the amount of money spent there are much nicer places in Charlotte. I was expecting outstanding but what I get was just pretty good.

Went for dinner the other night, and it was a fantastic meal. We had the meatballs, pepperoni and sausage pizza (some of the better pizza we have had in Charlotte), then the homemade pasta and pork three ways was a heck of a way to end it. Or so I thought, we got convinced to try zeppoli’s and we made room for them, somehow. Highly recommended.

I haven’t been here in a bit but probably one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. Food isn’t as pricey as people make it sound for the quality. The pasta is good and the specials they have are great ( I think mine was Alaskan Halibut) plus the ambiance is nice. Make a date take you if single

My husband and I shared a nearly silent meal here - not because we didn't want to talk to each other, but because the food simply rendered us speechless. I spent a lot of time staring off into space contemplating the joy of wild mushroom sauce. Stagioni will do that to you - trust me.

Without a doubt the best dining experience I’ve had in my 10 years of living in Charlotte. The space itself is smaller, but not crowded, and isn’t over decorated or distracting. We had a table right next to the open kitchen and it was cool to watch the chefs work and cook. We were there celebrating a birthday, so we knew this place was on the pricier side, but there’s good reason for it. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the service is flawless. Our main waitress was friendly, attentive and confident, and the rest of the waitstaff was also friendly and quick to remove any empty plates or glasses. It was the first time either of us had been to Stagioni, so our waitress explained that we order everything at once and she times out when each course is to be served. We had a hard time choosing since everything on the menu looked delicious, but we decided on the beef carpaccio and garlic knots to start, the gnocchi as our pasta course, and the red snapper as our main course. Everything was delicious. The food was served piping hot, which I loved and our waitress indeed timed each course perfectly throughout the evening so we had time to really enjoy. We didn’t get a chance to try the pizza, so we’ll definitely be back. Absolutely 10/10 recommend. Especially for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary.

Casual setting and delicious food in small amounts. Don't go in very hungry unless you want a primi and a secondi. ? Both our pastas, Hedgehog pocket pasta and the agnolotti delicious, just meager. But the chocolate bavarian cream, dessert, worth going! Trendy spot.

Great atmosphere - although pretty loud since it is a smaller space. Also the tables are pretty close together with a lot of movement from the servers, so a little chaotic. However, that adds to the Italian family authenticity of the restaurant. The food was very good.
