I'll get right into the food the three of us had. Good Barbeque Pulled Chicken which came on a plain burger bun. Excellent Garlic Green Beans. The Cole Slaw was good. Good Pulled Pork plate with tasty Mac N Cheese, average fries. Pulled Chicken Plate went over well with my husband and he liked the sauce and loved the Potato Salad. Brownie Sunday, tasty. Quick service with friendly staff. Ample seating with larger booths for groups. Bar looked well stocked and the atmosphere is relaxing with people talking, laughing and having fun. TV's for those who enjoy sports. Nice decor. We would go back. Note: Check out photos. I normally do not include any hands in the photo, however, my son could not wait to try the brownie.

So this place is smoking!!! Delicious, hot, home cooked southern cooking! If you have not been here you are missing out... they even have a bar! The server was amazing, she was on point the entire time.. my husband and I even met the owner "J" ... we ordered the fried chicken so crispy fresh and hot, the nachos were great and their stuffed jumbo tots!! Sides were collard greens, Mac n cheese aka the crackoroni n cheese, garlic string beans and mashed potatoes! I had no idea they had been on food network but I definitely see why, we will be back with friends!

Go there if you are in Charlotte. It is a must. The food is so damn good. Everything we had was spectacular. Get the LTD (living the dream) , including smoked pork barbeque, smoked pot roast, smoked ribs, smoked chicken quarter with 2 sides. We had garlic butter mushrooms(best I have ever had and am not a big mushroom fan), and okra fried to perfection. Our server Aubrey was the best and kept us watered(beered) and taken care of the whole time. She was extremely polite and knowledgeable and gave her recommendations for wings. Double grilled honey habanero. They were smoky, crispy, and spicy. The atmosphere is great with sports memorabilia but in a smokehouse. There is a full bar and draft/cans/bottled beer. They also have mixed drinks. Please do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.

Amazing place! Food was outstanding! Service was second to none! I am going to have to make this my new favorite place. The atmosphere was exceptional too! Can't say enough about this place. We got the LTD. Probably all the best items in one meal. It was large enough for my wife and I to eat and be full. The sides were so good too. Best ever BBQ place!

This place is busy but has some of the best bbq I've ever had. They have that great smoke taste and the BBQ is like a tangy honey BBQ to me. Great choices for everyone in the group. Don't forget to pick up a shirt when you are there, I picked up a every butt deserves a good rub shirt. Wait staff is on it and available any time you need them. If we lived there we would totally be back.

The two sauces on the tables here are not good. I have been eating here for years now. Did the sauces change? We had my favorite, the LTD, and I actually cut our dinner short and took our food home so that we could have some better BBQ sauces. The mac n cheese was delicious as always. The slaw was just slaw, nothing special there. The smoked pot roast was dry as hell. The pulled pork was good and juicy, but a good sauce to compliment it would have been nice. The ribs were a bit dry as well. It's been a few years, and I was excited, but let down. An $88 meal that seems like a complete waste. A SC style mustard based sauce and a sweet KC style BBQ sauce would be a good addition. The Famous Dave's sauce at the house made the food better by far. They've probably lost me with the quality tonight, and the sauce thing is puzzling. Why did I like this place before? Very expensive, LET DOWN!

David displayed great customer service, but the 1/2 chicken tasted like it was baked with smoke flavor added. It was good just didn't have the smoked flavor I was looking for. Fries were over cooked and the mushrooms were ok. I would go back and try the other sides.

First time eating there and they had great customer service all of the staff was very friendly & helpful. The food was very good as well. I had the sample platter & he had the pull chicken platter w/mac n cheese & fried squash. Everything was hot & cooked very well the fried food had just the right amount of crunch. We most definitely will be back.

I have never had a bad meal at McKoy’s. This place feels like home every time. The first time we came here the owner was so welcoming and every time we just feel so lovely here. The food is unbeatable. It is the best BBQ in town and the service is top notch. Every single thing we have ordered is good.

It smells so good in there! OMG! My favorites are the Award Winning Ribs! The pulled pork was tender! The atmosphere and vibes were great. The servers were attentive literally the service and food were on point! You can grab a drink and watch the games! 5 stars for those delicious southern sides! If you are in Charolette stop here!

Whew! Rapidly Google searching, trying to find a late night eatery (with heated outdoor seating) with no luck, my wife and I came across this restaurant based on previous reviews and photos (thank you!). The pulled chicken nachos, mac-n-cheese, loaded baked potato, fried squash and half BBQ chicken were all amazing! The chicken just fell off the bone and was packed with smoky flavors. Definitely recommend and will return next time we’re in the area!

Awesome service and food! We got the loaded fries, the quesadilla, and the Diablo burger! All great! We sat at the bar and the bartender (unfortunately we didn't get his name) was super fun and attentive! All of the staff had great attitudes and worked well together. Great atmosphere and experience all around!

First time here last night. Excellent service. The food was outstanding! Huge portions. My wife got the “Living the Dream” plate and let me tell you,, it’s a lot of food!! Wings were delish! Really nice place overall. I highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to go back.

Greatest find of our trip. We have been traveling the south from Tennessee to Florida to North Carolina. True authentic family recipes from scratch. Amazing service from our server Chastity! We had the LTD which is a combination plater. So much we shared between us. The Fried Okra, collard greens a corn bread were true authentic country cooking. Worth a trip from anywhere!

The food is AMAZING! They have incredible BBQ and their collards are some of the best around for miles! Definitely go see what all the hype is about… you won’t be disappointed!

The wings are incredible! We were in town for the weekend and this place popped up as being dog friendly on the patio. Our server was awesome and brought water out for the puppers. I will definitely be back, the food was A+++++!

The food was delicious, mac and cheese was great, the potato wedges were perfect with the bacon bits. I didn't care for the squash, too salty, but others in my group loved it. I got the pot roast, It was amazing! I'm on the Omad diet, so I did finish the large, but I'd recommend the small unless you really want leftovers. I finished my plate because I asked for a to go box, but she took so long getting me my credit card back, and there were only a few morsels left. I'm giving them 4 stars. One off for no water refills, and too long for my card to get back to me. The place had our group of twenty, they set us up with one waitress, and they had maybe two other customers while we were there. I so wanted to try the peanut butter pie, but with the waitress being so slow there was no chance.

My wife and I dropped in to this restaurant on a whim. We arrived in town late and picked this place off the internet. Well let me tell you! The pulled chicken was spectacular and my ribs were mouth watering. I have to go back to my encounter in Texas at Tyler’s to recall ribs as good as these. Hope to make it back to McCoy’s again soon.

Their wings are the best wings I have ever had in my life. I have never had anything come even close to this. It was literally a divine inspiration, for whoever came up with their recipes.. Double smoked and double grilled, Out of this world. Wonderful

Stayed here three times and was wonderful served. Food is delicious and tasty. Little chilly inside, but we'll this is normal when you come in from nearly 100 F. Cosy atmosphere felt very fell all the time. Will return.

It was pretty good. Not the best bbq ever but still good. Portions were great.

I got their ribs, they were good but was kinda expecting fall off the bone ribs but they were not, flavor was still pretty good. My family got sandwiches(chicken & Philly) they said they were good. Sides were also good except for the cole slaw, so much milk in it. Service was ok.

Smoked wings were nice, albeit not super spicy, some cold in the center. Ribs were super dry and lacking in flavor. Had to rip them apart and were super chewy. Knife couldn’t cut through them. Nice place but food could be improved
