I stayed here for five nights on a business trip. It’s hard for me to say that I enjoyed the stay at all. 1. Sink was clogged and it took me two days to follow up with the house keeping staff, front desk to eventually fix it. - they most likely just poured in some Drano. The desk was dusty, so is the carpet. 2. It’s interesting that the housekeeping staff would not replace used wine glasses in my room. I’ve been washing them myself. 3. I was blocked entrance to the elevator to the hotel lobby when I parked at the hotel garage. I had to be escorted upstairs and was told the next time the elevator would open up. And it didn’t. I had to have staff open the door to the garage entrance in order to get to my car. 4. I left my tennis shoes at the hotel room and texted the front desk staff. They said they were able to find my shoes but I had to fill out a form. After filling out the form, I was told that house keeping staff couldn’t locate my shoes! This hotel has a major management problem. Things are not follow through. Staff were not properly communicated with the changes. Not much structure. It’s frustrating to say the least. Now I would like to have my item shipped back to me. Followed up several times to no avail. I guess once you have left, it’s not their problem.

Very nice hotel and amazing location. Rooms were super clean, amazing showers. At night, the rooftop is a happening club that hotel guests get to cut the line and go up. My only concern was that I was charged for a nip of liquor from the mini fridge after I left when I knew I did not touch them because they were pricey. I called the hotel and was refunded, so everything turned out good.

Outstanding hotel! Excellent staff and service. Dog friendly and proud of it. Our puppy loved looking out the room's floor to ceiling windows to the park below. Highly recommend this property. We will be back!

The low rating is because my husband and I each got at best one hour of sleep despite a nice suite on the 8th floor. From 10 until midnight sleep was impossible because of the street noise (revving engines). From midnight until morning sleep was all but impossible because the bed was so incredibly uncomfortable AND the revving engines continued until after 4am. Ultimately the location, room, service, and everything else are moot if you can't sleep and have 12 hours of driving and 5 hours of work the next day.

The staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little rough around the edges. We found two different places where there was condensation dripping onto the floor and our last night the A/C in our room went from working great to not working well at all. We let the staff know about the items and they were appreciative of bringing it to their attention.

Very nice interior lobby, ground floor restaurant and roof bar. Exterior of hotel is nice, especially color lights facing the park. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were nice. We arrived a bit late for dinner, 830 and DJ made it hard to talk, bit for was good, service ok.

Was treated to a 1 bedroom suite for my birthday and the room and Hotel was nice. The staff seemed nice as well. The only reason I would rate this Hotel a 4 out of 5 is because the mattress felt cheap and uncomfortable and the in room dining menu was very limited and underwhelming. Other than the experience was enjoyable and the location is great.

This is my regular hotel when I’m in Charlotte. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, most with amazing views of Tryon Park ball field. Angeline’s restaurant (Italian) is amazing. The rooftop bar is fun as well if you are in a celebratory mood and like to hear some background music (not loud but festive) while overlooking gorgeous city views. The staff is top notch from the valets to the front desk to the f&b servers.

    Great corner room overlooking the park, and much of the downtown! Service was great, rooftop bar had amazing views as well. Bougie tots with caviar were absolutely amazing! And to top it off, our room had a little something to welcome us during our stay and made it even sweeter...Thank you to Jasmin and Zippy at the front desk for the sweet delight :=}

The room is very nice, especially the bathroom. A minibar is advertised, but there isn't one in the room. The front desk directs you to the bar or some snacks in the lobby. They only have ice machines on every other floor. Coffee bar downstairs is very minimal and not very hot, with no oat or almond milk. The toilet paper is scratchy. In our room, one towel and the duvet were stained. The streaming TV service was choppy while trying to watch a movie. The location is great, except for the loud cars racing up and down the street all night. Valet is $40/day but very attentive and helpful.

We are frequent travelers and this is one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. They not only offer complementary coffee in the morning, but also drinks between 5 pm and 6 pm. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Location is ideal for us since we wanted easy access to nearby museums, restaurants, entertainment, etc.

We chose the Kimpton as our wedding ceremony and reception venue. It was the RIGHT choice!!! Kim helped us every step of the way with our planning, and was a joy to work with over the months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding. On the day of our event, Angela, Kelsey, and Alexis went above and beyond ensuring our ceremony and reception went off without a hitch - they even helped us maintain our timeline! The Kimpton staff anticipated every need we could possibly have, and accommodated every one. Our guests felt taken care of and were impressed by the luxurious space, food, and service. My husband and I can’t wait to come back next year to celebrate our anniversary 🥰 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!

The first thing I noticed about the Kimpton is how incredibly friendly the staff is. It was lovely to arrive after a seven-hour drive to find they offer a complimentary happy hour in the lobby. Things quickly went downhill from there. I unpacked and was excited to rest in a terrific corner room with great views after a long day when suddenly 3 or 4 large dogs started barking in multiple rooms around me. I had to pack and wait for a new room (but better to know about the dogs at 8pm as opposed to 2am). The new room was small, dark and next to the elevators - quite a big step down from the original room with no difference in rate and no apology. Other highlights: - Room service was efficient but food was terrible - chicken so dry I couldn’t eat it - No coffee maker in room: Given I had to be up for work at 5am each day this was so disappointing - Most egregious was it took 40+ minutes to get my car from valet when they said to allow 15” (they discourage self-parking for some reason) - this threw my entire day off. - The television kept going off in the evening during my three-night stay - I was told it’s a hotel-wide signal problem and nothing could be done. I’ve been traveling for work for many years - I’m not picky and I don’t like to post negative reviews but when I asked who I could speak to I was told “we’ll pass your message along” so here I am. I’ll be staying somewhere else on my next business trip to Charlotte.

I travel a lot and this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The location is in the heart of uptown Charlotte with tons of attractions within walking distance and beautiful views. All of the staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. Room service was very quick and delicious. The room itself was gorgeous and made for a very comfortable stay. I will be planning a trip back to Charlotte just to stay at this hotel again!

The service I received from the minute I arrived to the property was spectacular. Then when u arrived to the check in desk Demarco was absolutely exceptional. He understands what it means to provide 5 Star service. I was very impressed. I will stay here again and recommend others to stay when they are in the Queen City.

We booked a 2 night stay using points and thrilled to get upgraded to a suite with Diamond status. We had a lovely view of the park and the baseball stadium across the street. The room was spacious, clean, and had a great vibe. They also left a wonderful fruit/cheese tray amenity with sparkling wine upon our arrival. Everyone from the front desk was very welcoming. We had an issue connecting to the Chromecast on the TV and they took care of us with a food/beverage credit for the inconvenience. We felt very well taken care of! The internet was fast and reliable. There was one desk for working and there was a separate chair and small table that could create a second workspace if a couple comes together and both need to work like us.

The facilities are great, location is perfect but I was blown away by the staff - they were attentive, kind and articulate. I was passing through town on my way to Burlington and had to do an important zoom call last week. I spoke with Noah on the phone who said it would be no problem to do my call in the lobby area and when I got there I spoke with Mary Elizabeth who make it super easy to get set up in the location and on Wifi. Great job - this place will be my first choice when coming to stay in Charlotte.

We love staying at Kimpton hotels! The consistency in service and quality are unmatched. Located in the heart of Charlotte across from the stadium, park, and conveniently located walkable to dining and entertainment. Dog friendly is the main selling point for us. Our two pups enjoy the Kimpton experience as much as we do! The room was of ample size, nicely furnished, and comfortable. We enjoyed a night cap on the rooftop bar with city views. Thanks for a great stay and experience, we’ll be back again!

I did not stay at the hotel. I ended up booking with a lower end hotel. This hotel had hung up on me 6 times for wanting to talk to the manager. Which then wanted to price gouge me $200 for a weekend because an event was coming there. ALSO went as far to tell me that WE think this might not be a good fit for you? WHO DOES THAT?! Horrible customer service would not want me to talk to manager PERIOD. I would not recommend to stay here if they are price gouging people on events. Especially since the economy is so low. almost $600 a night for the $450 bedroom i was going to be staying in the night before. IT MAKES NO SENSE!

Love this hotel! From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly smiles and overall courtesy. The hotel itself is in a really nice location. Everything about the hotel was clean as well, which is a big factor for me while booking a place to stay. After spending a day in the summer sun, it was nice to come back to complementary beer, wine, and refreshments. The rooftop bar was perfect for a nightcap before heading to bed. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I go to Charlotte!

The hotel itself was very nice. But as soon as we got into our room, we noticed wet carpet. We told the front desk about it but nothing was done until the next day. It had been sitting for a while so there was mold on it. There were also stains on the curtains. They eventually did move us to another room, but we had to mention it again to the front desk and then call down again. We had a balcony room and the view was very nice. We tried Merchant and Trade, the rooftop bar. It was very crowded, granted it was a Saturday night.

It definitely wasn’t the great experience that we have had at other Kimpton properties. We pulled into valet and told our truck was too tall for their parking garage. Told us to pull into the the attached garage which said it had a tall clearance but once you get in there is two handicapped spots with that clearance and then the rest of the garage was too low for our truck. We pulled back to valet and he gave a list of places we could park. They were not close so I got out luggage and our two year old out to check in while my husband went to park close to a mile away. No help with luggage at all. The valet just watched. Then when another car pulled up he offered to help with their luggage. Our room was nice and had a great view. We found out the hard way that our fridge was not working the next morning. We had brought milk for our son for breakfast and it was warm after being in there all night.

Very nice. Great location Rooftop not accessible from main elevators. You must go through general public access which is one elevator. the rooftop is nice but it’s first come with no reservations. Music too loud in some areas. Reasonable prices on very good drink selection. I’ve been here several times and plan to go back

It was a great stay. The staff was very accommodating, and the location, attached restaurant, and amenities do not disappoint. There were a few extremely trivial issues that one would point out at this price point and in a 4-star location, but they are so trivial that they are not worth mentioning. One thing to take into account is the view of the park and the stadium are great. But keep in mind the city life and pedestrian noise that comes with it. Such a great stay. Check out the bathroom!

I really liked this hotel and it will be my first choice when in Charlotte. I was there on a business. The room sizes were excellent. I like decoration and just the vibe in general. Even the elevator is cool. Only thing I didn't like was they didn't pool and their parking. They made anything but valet inconvenient, so pay the extra. I couldn't because I was staying for work. They call you to get permission before allowing third parties to deliver to your room, which was a nice touch. Sean (check in) and Anthony (check out) at the front desk were really friendly.
