My first time going with my husband for lunch, sit on the bar the bartender female was not even paying attention to us talking to two guys at the bar. To the point that my husband went and grab utensils 🍴 to eat because she dint ask if we needed plates to share are food or utensils. We say hello can we get a drink please she came and I said can you make me a old fashion the bartender said we don’t have this here, my husband is a manager/bartender at shuys Tex mex restaurant and told her he show her, he explain to her the drink 🍹 she gave me a small amount and charge me $15 dollar for it! We dint say anything, then I finish my drink and ask for her attention for her to Please give me another drink, and also told her please give me two shots of patron, she gave me one and my husband said where is my shot? He told her is was two shot one for me and one for him. All this I ask for the receipt and she charge me for 4 shot! I said why are you charging me $40 for two shot? Told the manager and she was very ignorant, I said us not paying the bill I have money. Is that she needs to put more attention of clients stead of talking to guys at the bar and ignoring the rest of the clients !! Customer service is horrible and I will never go back to this place! First and last . The place is nice but the service is horrible 😤

I wish I could give ZERO stars!! Very unprofessional and racist! I don’t speak good Spanish but I know they were being disrespectful, and saying stuff they shouldn’t about paying guests! We sat at the bar and was ignored, had to ask for our drinks & the check several times. I do not recommend this place, ESPECIALLY if you’re a person of color! BTW! I did not leave without paying nor did you have to chase me. Please know whose review you are responding to before responding. It was two of us who only sat at the bar & our tab was most definitely paid for.

Good service. Awesome food! It has all kinds of neat Mexican decorations. This is not chipotle or Chili’s so don’t expect Americanized Mexican food. People here speak Spanish so don’t feel offended (lol at the other comments) you get a real authentic experience with nice drinks and awesome food

Amazingly quick and swift service. Our waitress was so sweet and patient with us, she even helped my friend to properly pronounce the names of some of the dishes 😅 The food was lovely, and the proportions are top notch! My friend and I had a tight schedule the day we came, and didn't have much time to eat at all. We were seated, we ordered, we ate and payed in the span of one hour and about nine minutes. It was perfect! My only issue would probably be the water stains on the utensils and cups. But that wasn't enough to merit loosing a star on my rating. Tres Pesis remains as a five start experience!

Randomly stopped for dinner. Food was amazing. We had the cerviche which was super fresh. They were very attentive and asked if it was okay for the wait as it was being prepared fresh(about 25 mins). Well worth the wait. For our mains, we has tacos which were super tasty and had lots of flavour and meat. The other main was the red snapper and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Last note, the salsa that was presented upon arriving was the tastiest I have had and that alone would make us come back. We left full and happy. Great job!

This was our 1st time eating at Tres Pesos. I wasn't sure what to expect from the restaurant's outside appearance but we were WOWed with the menu options, the VERY courteous, most helpful, patient server (Mariana). Then the food arrived 😀 The looked very appetizing and the taste did not disappoint! WONDERFUL!!! If we return to Charlotte this place is a MUST EAT, again spot!!!

Let me get the bad stuff out of the way. It is kinda in a shady location, and the shrimp in my tacos was overcooked. That being said, my carnitas tacos were absolutely to die for. They were juicy, tender and they did not skip out on the meat. The portions are HUGE! I felt so bad because I was physically unable to finish my tacos, despite them being so delicious. My mom got the Caldo 7 Mares seafood soup. It was filled with all types of seafood, the portion was once again huge, and incredibly flavorful. Overall the staff is very friendly and the restaurant inside is very clean.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Walk-in within 15 minutes of the kitchen closing and sat at the bar. I ordered a Corona and was even not offered chips and salsa. Ordered my food (which was trio fajitas) When my food was served I sat there not able to eat because I was given tortilla shells. I was given a whole tomato (which from my experience is suppose to be diced to apply to multiple fajitas. When I asked for extra sour cream the server/bartender basically threw the dish at me. I love Mexican food and will not let this ONE poor experience keep me from enjoying the delicious food. On a positive note the food was amazing!!! Kudos to the chef

I was there tonight with my family and the service was horrible. The waitress had a nasty attitude. Not only that I picked up on the racist vibes as well. Never came and checked on us but were catering to the "others" .

Best Mexican food I've ever experienced. We had the Fuente Marina and it was so good we came back the next day and had it again. We also had the Mejillones a la Kora. It was also delicious but a little spicy.

Great dining Mexican experience for sure. Decorated very well, polite and professional staff that welcomed us and our questions. Our meals were very good. My only request is add Avocado slices to the grilled chicken salad to make it completely delectable.

Families & couples were present. The place was very lively. There was long periods of wait when we asked the waiter for something. My fries came out cold and had to be made by then I had already eaten my food. The food was delicious. They were out of a lot of drinks.

As for me, perfect place, delicious food, good variety of sea food, nice bar, live music. It’s a sin to complain ;)

Out of all the Mexican restaurant I’ve tried in Charlotte this is hands down one of my favorites. Unlike other restaurants around the area that are Tex-Mex style, Tres Pesos has authentic flavor. Not to mention that they are also pet friendly! Our waitress was super sweet with our fur baby and made sure that she wasn’t forgotten. Absolutely will recommend to eat there next time you’re looking for Mexican food.
