Classic Charlotte spot with some of the best bar food you can get in the city. So far I get wings every single time I go blackened cajun charred but I've tried multiple other things on the menu now and everything is a banger. If you haven't been, go with a group and try all the food you can!

9/1/2023 stopped here for lunch, apparently this place has been around a while, since 1933. This place got packed quickly during lunch. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were delicious as well as sweet potato fries. The waitress was really polite and I know she was really busy with all the different tables! I would recommend stopping here for lunch!

I’m sure the food is actually delicious and service is welcoming if you do get their attention. Our family was the only non-white family during the busy post-Christmas day and we had to get our own menus. We left after 15-20minutes because we hadn’t received any beverages by then while tables who were sat after us got cutlery and beverages within a minute or two. Oh, don’t get me wrong, everyone who interacted with us was polite. Just polite enough where it didn’t feel like we weren’t outright not welcome. Something just felt off. One person did come out to our car after we left our table to ask if we were okay, though.

Very nice staff, but the food was not worth the price. $13 for a club sandwich that only had a couple pieces of deli meat on it. It was so flat, I was expecting a triple decker club for the price. I could have made it better by going to Publix myself.

The vibes here were old school, but it was still nice. Me and my friend went here and it was better then we thought. The food was 10/10 Im definitely coming again 😁

The manager of this place, “Mike” is …weird. To say the least. I came in with a friend who happened to be black and anytime she would ask a question (or speak in general it seemed like) he would only look at me with a response (I am white)..while she was talking, again would either look at me or be looking over her head at something else. And always had this very irate look on his face. Food was good but will not go back.

We came to grab a quick bite and a drink. Michael was our bartender / server and was very nice and welcoming even though it was later in the evening. My wife had a burger and I had the Southern Rice Bowl. It was AMAZING. If you want a place to go and watch a game or just hang out at a great local bar, this is the place to try.

Very nice menu, plenty of choices. The burgers were delicious, and you can get a single or a double. Superb onion rings. Great draft beer choices. Service was outstanding. Will be back soon.

Providence Road Sundries is a great spot for watching games, eating/drinking with friends and family meals. The left side of the restaurant has a bar, high tops and booths and caters more to adults. The right side has booths and tables and caters primarily to families/kids. The menu has solid bar food. It consists of bowls, salads, tacos/wraps, burgers and sandwiches. We’ve tried most of the menu over multiple visits and the Cowboy Burger and Pimento Grilled Cheese are our favorite handhelds. The Chicken + Black Bean and Rice bowl is super hearty as well and worth a try. Service is good and the owners are cool. It can take some time for food during peak lunch times - especially on weekends when it’s packed. The only downside to this place is the parking. sundries shares a tiny front and back lot with Pasta & Provisions and it’s really hard to not only get a spot but to turn into the shopping center depending on the traffic coming down Providence. We usually just park alongside CCK in the adjacent neighborhood to avoid the hassle. It’s a great local, family owned spot that caters to everyone.

So I used to eat this place all the time with my parents I grew up on it so I still like it as an adult at 50 years old but now it seems the people working there don't really care anymore they close at 9:00 but I call at 8:15 and go in the store at 8:15 and they tell me they're not taking any more orders only dying in I offered to take it down in then they come back and see the kitchen is closed this is not the first time this has happened it's just the earliest that it's ever happened usually at 8:30 they don't answer the phone anymore or they'll pick it up and hang up on you Good food used to be s***** people definitely

Terrible service! Would give 0 stars if possible. We didn’t even get to order within the 30 minutes we were at the restaurant. The owner greeted us after we stood at the entrance for five minutes, told us we could sit anywhere that was open. It was lunch hour, so understandably it was busy. However, most of the tables were not yet cleaned after previous customers so there weren’t many available seats. We sat for fifteen minutes until I had to get up and ask a waitress myself for the menus. We then ordered waters that didn’t arrive even after 15 minutes. Eventually, parties that had arrived after us were receiving service within minutes. We finally got up and left, the waters still having not arrived. Left a terrible taste in my mouth!

It's been a couple of years since I was here last. The food is good, service is good. Prices for some things is a bit high. Nice for a change, and I can get a Guinness beer. Change of scenery was only stand out. I'd go again, and even recommend this place. It's nice if you like a lot of people around and plenty of TV's for sporting events. Nice place, but nothing special and expect to spend a bit more.

I've always wanted to try this restaurant but wasn't sure where to park. Go right to a rear parking lot. Great atmosphere and everything was great!

First time here and decided to try a Guinness for the first time. Cheeseburger was huge. I was expecting a single and got a double. Very good, juicy burger. Side of mac & cheese was amongst the best I've ever had. Nice ambiance and seemed to be doing well for early Saturday evening. Waitress was good with only one minor snafu. I would defonately go here again and I highly recommend Providence Rd. Sundries.

Social distancing! Great wait staff. Good food and solid drinks. Who can ask for anything better? The "garage doors were open to allow fresh air too. I ordered the fish tacos and they were really good. I'd order them again. Loved the tater tots too!

I LOVE the place and always have, but the wings we had were lackluster. Anorexic chickens. And the Bleu cheese dressing was just bad and served in plastic ramekins, which is expected with a take out order, but not IN the restaurant. Believe me, I am not picky at all either. I waited tables in college, and I know what good service and food should look like. I would have overlooked the grade "c" food if the servers and runners could have been more welcoming, enthusiastic, and professional. Step it up PRS. DON'T SETTLE FOR MEDIOCRE. :)

Avocado kale salad with grilled salmon; salad was great, salmon cooked perfectly but had NO seasoning at all. Please do something to get rid of the gnats. Fought three out of my face, beverage and food all through my time there. Server was great!

We love this place for its neighborhood feel and consistently good food. Their salads are large and have a good amount of chicken on them. Service is always good too. We feel like their prices have gone up (like everywhere else 🙃😣) but we still enjoy going here. Usually don’t get out of there for less than $50 if either of us has a beer or two or if we share an appetizer

Absolutely amazing food. Our waitress was fantastic. Definitely adding to our list! The burger was seasoned perfectly and was so juicy! The queso and chips were delicious! My husband love the nachos!
