Really like coming here when I'm in Uptown Charlotte. They have really reasonable prices 🤑 with delicious sweet treats and good coffee/ teas. Customer service is good also. Thank you Bar Cocoa :)

Very cute little shop to visit. I would have definitely bought more things if the cashier was not so miserable. She did not want to help or explain what anything was she had a very undesirable attitude. For that reason we would not be going back.

Came in on 12/10 with my kids for their birthday - we decided to bring them in for a treat. Imani seemed VERY put out that we would dare ask her any questions, especially the flavors of the truffles. Her customer service was horrible and for the cost of the items at this shop, it was not a good experience.

Okay coffee and cupcake but we received the worst service imaginable from Imani. She acted like it was an inconvenience that we came inside and wanted to order something. She never let us know when our order was ready and the coffee and cupcake just sat there. We will never return again.

A bit expensive but worth it for a splurge session! Omg, the coconut cake is to die for! Macaroons delish! Truffles! Customer service is on point! Ariel, the barista was great, so was the manager who was serving at night...ugh, yes...I went twice!! Lol!

Bar cocoa is a dessert cafe that is situated by the Ritz Carlton. I ordered a Brown Butter raspberry tart that was a tad bit dry, like it's been sitting there all day (which it probably was), and the Ritz Chocolate cake which was dense and fudgy. They have outside seating, with only 2 tables and 2 inside. My advice is to get your pastries and walk the extra block to the epicentre and people watch there.

My breakfast from Bar Cocoa was outstanding! They made a simple bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin taste as exquisite as the desserts. The coffee was among the best quality I've ever tasted, and the price point was super reasonable.

They have many great sweets like pastries, macarons, gelato, and fine chocolates. I really like the chocolates, they remind me of the chocolates that used to be available at 7th Street public market. Whenever I have people visit me from out of town I try to bring them here. They have a great atmosphere and great food.

This place is a grown ups candy store. It's delicious blends of coffee and decadent pastries and hand crafted confections will open your eyes wide and have you salivating at all the brightly colored goodies. Simple as cookies or as complex as the exotic chocolates that color your taste buds a rainbow of sweetness. I stumbled upon it uptown now I purposely seek it out. It's a guilty pleasure paradise. Awesome Eats!

I had heard such good things about the desserts here so we decided to stop here one night after a show. I'm not sure if I didn't order right, but I wasn't very impressed. I got a few different macarons and a strawberry balsamic eclair. My husband went for gelato. All of mine was just ok. My husband said he liked the gelato. The prices are a little pricey which I was expecting. I might come back to give it a second chance, but after my first time there, there are other bakeries in Charlotte I prefer over this.

This place is neat, though the baked goods are so-so. The gluten-free brownie had an odd aftertaste. The glutenphiles in my group were meh over their macarons and chocolate chip cookie. It's more of an experience than a treat.

You’ve gotta check out Bar Cocoa in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina – it's seriously awesome! 🙌 First off, when you walk in, you're hit with this chill, cozy vibe that just makes you want to hang out. It's got this cool mix of comfy seating and stylish decor that makes it the perfect spot for a laid-back coffee date or just some solo work time. And speaking of coffee, their brews are top-notch! I tried their cappuccino, and it was like a little cup of heaven. They know their coffee stuff here, for real. Bar Cocoa is the spot to chill, enjoy great coffee and eats, and soak in some good vibes. If you're in Charlotte, don't miss out – swing by Bar Cocoa and thank me later! ☕🥑🍰👍

Theresa was the friendliest and most engaging barista we’ve ever had. Great macaroons and coffees, but she is the reason we will tell our friends to come here!

Love Bar Cocoa! Desserts and coffee are out of this world... delectable. So glad it reopened-- wish it were open after 4pm on Fridays and weekend so I can come by outside of work hours.
