Very clean place and the food was delicious!

Plenty of seating and parking available. Well lit, plenty of seating and room. I'm about a 3.4, but Google doesn't allow for percentage points. Service was good, as was the food and the atmosphere. But... both of us ordered the vegetable soup, which comes with the meal, and both of the spoons that our waitress provided us with had crusted food on the handle end. When I pointed this out to her, she asked if we wanted larger soup spoons?. I told her "no," and we both wanted "clean" spoons. This is both the fault of the dishwasher and the waitress. 1st time visiting. That was the most polite waitress I've ever meet. She was professional, friendly and keep checking in us bringing coffee. She even put extra water on table. The food wow 👏amazing. Great flavor on everything. Grits were really good. Gravy on biscuit 👌amazing flavor. My hubby had the iron skillet platter. Been cool if came on skillet. It had taters, eggs, bacon and sausage maybe adding gravy would be good.

A good little spot for a quick breakfast. A little wait as it was busy. Huge menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Really basic diner/restaurant choices, Greek and Spanish items along with American classics. The breakfast skillet was super filling, tons of potatoes but a little skimpy on the other fillings. Coffee was fresh and hot!

Absolutely the best breakfast. If I lived closer I would be here every day. By the way, I love the fact that you offer red eye gravy. Truly a dying art. The service is also top notch. Highly recommend. And tell your friends

It's a nice restaurant, it's clean, the service was nice. But honestly the food was just okay and the menu is incredibly vast it seems like they don't have a specialty. I had the chef special which was grilled chicken with gravy and rice with some vegetables. The chicken was well cooked, the gravy was savory, the rice and vegetables were well cooked but not really seasoned. But it seems like something I could cook at home with canned ingredients.

I ordered breakfast and as my drink I ordered a cup of hot water and lemons to warm up my body When I received my check, I was charged $.95 for the cup of hot water and lemons. I couldn't believe it! I asked the waitress was it a mistake. She said that's the charge for hot water and lemons. She said they had been started charging for this combo. I went to ask the manager about the charge. He was emphatic and told me the same thing that the waitress said. He also said that it was noted on the menu. I looked at the menu under Beverages. Guess what! It is not listed on the menu. How is someone to know if the waitress does not tell you during your order or it is not listed on the menu as a charge. I think this charge is a bad business practice and is not in line with other restaurants. What's next? Will it be a charge for cold water and ice?

Entering the establishment you notice the lovely open floor plan. While being seated not really the most pleasant interaction with the gentleman that sat us at our table, however,the service from the waitress Stephanie was pleasant and enjoyable she redeemed that guy.. the waffles were delicious. The grits and hashbrowns took me back to the 1990’s when mom use to make them..Overall great experience..

Just moved to area & had tried this place twice. Food was fine, but prices were better than most since Covid. However we will not be ordering again. My husband & I ordered breakfast for carry out. When he went to pick it up, he had to wait in line with the ridiculous system they use. After waiting some time he asked a woman about his order that he could see had just been sitting there getting cold. She was EXTREMELY RUDE. Sure enough when he got in car & checked, all our food was stone cold. Once home we realized it was all grossly overdone, the biscuit was like a hockey puck & food was missing. I also ordered an omelet with no cheese since I can’t eat. Appalled at the treatment & service we received after paying hard earned money for food that went in trash. From reading other reviews, they obviously don’t care about their customers & looking at other photos, it’s apparent they use cheap food including canned mushrooms. Now they’ve lost two more customers.

Always some amazing food. Breakfast served all day long, but I was in the mood for some lasagna. It did not disappoint. So hot and smelled so good burned my tongue getting to it haha. But once I could feel my tongue again, I could taste the amazing melody of Italian flavors. My dad opted for the broiled flounder dish and he loved it. Prices are fair and service is friendly.

We had lunch here for the first time. The salmon Greek salad was awesome!! Also our waitress "May" was the best of the best!! She was very attentive and actually suggested the lunch we had. Awesome experience!! We are looking forward to trying breakfast here. Oh and the Arnold Palmer was so good!!

Fast, friendly service and great food. Had my favorite meal, country-style steak, rice and gravy and green beans, and it was perfect. My friend opted for breakfast which she enjoyed. Always nice to see the owner walking around and greeting customers.

We had a great breakfast! I think our waitress was Angela, but I can't remember for sure. She had a copper bracelet and said she had broken her wrist. Anyway, she was just awesome, I haven't had that good customer service in a very long time! Thanks so much for a great meal! 😀

What a nice surprise for a great local breakfast spot! My husband discovered this place and took me there on a Sunday sometime during brunch hours. It was busy, but there was ample room to wait and I don’t think we waited for more than 15 minutes. The restaurant is very clean and organized. Our waitress was so nice, and her service was impeccable. I really appreciated the way they serve their coffee—nice & hot and in a ceramic mug with a matching saucer & spoon. The food was delicious, and I will happily return for lunch sometime soon!

Andrea was our server today and she was amazing. She greeted us with the biggest, prettiest smile and she made us feel like family. We never felt like we couldn’t get her attention because she was very attentive. We couldn’t help but tip her higher than 22%. If you want to feel like home and enjoy your experience at sunrise, request for Andrea. You won’t be disappointed! :)

Lots of food options to choose from. Specials each day, kids mes available. Great pricing and service. The only feedback that i have would be for the cooks to consider adding seasoning when cooking. Food was bland and everything needed salt/pepper. Would definitely go again

Was looking for a breakfast/lunch spot on a Sunday. Sunrise popped up and we decided to try it. Very popular place. Thought it would be a long wait, only about 10 min. Quick service, large portions of food, and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

This plateful was crazy good: Salmon cakes & salsa; pinto beans; turnip greens (aMAZing); pickled beets; applesauce; cornbread. I ate the whole thing!! Our server, Angela (aka "Smiley") was a joy. I really needed to feel this good today!

Great standard dining food! Sounds like an oxymoron, but it is true. Never had a bad breakfast or lunch there. Most recently bought the fried pork chops. Fantastic breading and extremely moist. Cut them with a fork.

Overall we usually have a good time here, service can be slow depending on where you sit. Don't order chicken and dumplings... not sure what it was but it definitely was not appetizing...

The best mom and pop restaurant in town. Great service...food is delicious.... Prices are fair. A must go to place if you want good food and comfortable atmosphere. Older customers but very polite and pleasant atmosphere

Came here for a meeting the other day granted I only had the creamy potato soup and a Greek salad.. they were both very good. Started getting very busy for dinner but our waitress didn't skip a beat and the place was spotless clean.

Below par today. Came at really busy time. Ordered the French toast and it came without the powdered sugar, just as I requested. Large slices, which was more than enough. My disappointment came with the syrup, which was so watery that it couldn't rightfully be called syrup. More like sweetened water. Secondly, would it kill you to put a dollop of butter between the slices? Wife fully enjoyed her chicken and rice and soup. Usually have no complaints here, but they were busy. I'd give them a pass on this one, but don't get too lax or you'll have your customers going elsewhere.

I don't usually leave reviews unless the food and service was really bad or extremely good. When I placed my order over the phone I was kind of weary, but keeping in mind they may just be busy. When I got home with my food I realized they gave me a partially wrong order. I ordered the grilled pork chops but I received fried pork chops instead...... If I tell you it was one of the best wrong orders I've ever received (and i get a lot of that in Charlotte) it would be an understatement. The food was on point from the rooter to the tooter!!! Some of the best food I've had in a long time. I ordered the pork chops, grits, eggs and home fries. Absolutely delicious! Please, treat yourself and don't cheat yourself!! Give this restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed!! Excellent all the way around!!

I ordered a cheese burger and traded up for onion rings. It was great, neither was too greasy!! The waitress was fantastic! I saw a police man told him hi and thanks for his service and to be safe then I asked the waitress to bring me his bill and I paid for his lunch. Which I usually do this when a police men or fire men come in where I eat. Felt great to show my appreciation for all that he does and has done, I did it anonymous. Even though I told him what I did I had instructed the waitress to tell him the same. The waitress did that and I left. Thanks for helping me do this. The restaurant and staff and cook were awesome!!! Thanks again for the great meal and experience!

Stopped here labor day morning 2022! Food was good, our waitress was nice and efficient. I didn't catch her name. All the food was good....Kids meals and what my wife and I ordered. Bacon was really good here. The only thing I was disappointed in was the biscuits were crazy dry. Grits were good! Eggs pancakes, waffle were good. I think my wife's waffle was a little dry but nothing crazy.
