Furniture was dirty and torn. Wallpaper was falling off. Room smelled of smoke even though it's non smoking. To top it all off, whomever stayed there before us left their key cards in the room. We put our stuff in the room and went to go get lunch. We came back and the food we had put in the fridge to cook for breakfast the next day we missing and so were the key cards. So to whichever hotel employee took our food, God bless you. I guess you needed it more than us. I'll never stay there again!

Long wait to check in and some wait for front desk. Breakfast was minimal. Room service is weekly, so none at all for a two night stay. Pets are welcome, so dogs bark all night. Nice full kitchen, nice WiFi, great handicapped bathroom. The beds were so high that a person in a wheelchair could not possibly get in bed; I had to lift my wife into bed. They charge a $150 damage deposit that they say will be refunded in 5 or 10 days. This seemed to distress some other guests. My refund took a week. Sonesta was professional enough to acknowledge my observations with a personal e-mail and apology.

I’ll start with a positive: the location is superb! You can access most places within 10-20 min. That was helpful. The breakfast, for what we did get to taste, was pretty good. Now on to the negatives: I honestly would not recommend staying here. Our family has usually enjoyed staying at Sonesta hotels. They’re usually super clean and staff amazing. Nope. Not this time. As you can see in the photos, there were roaches. German roaches, not water bugs. The kind that if they get in your things, they will infest your home😡. The soap dispenser in the shower was broken, there were old stains on the sheet under the spread, which i didnt see until it was time for us to leave. the thermostat is coming a part. When i checked the bathroom for cleanliness upon arrival, there was an eyelash on the drawer handle. We were told one time at the desk for breakfast , and apparently that was the wrong time, because shortly after 9, one of the kitchen staff came and locked the door and impatiently waited for us to leave as she began fussing in spanish 😳. I literally could not believe this was considered a great place to stay. Times should be posted in the breakfast area so they’re seen and can then be adhered to. Got back upstairs to see the times were on this super small business card sized print out… There could have been a tv guide, someone steppes in pet poop, and they scraped it off on the stairs and left it there. It was there a whole day later, which signifies that no one was checking the stairwells for cleanliness. The heat and air unit was in out bedroom and the door was not locked, which exposed that the filter had not been changed since Moses walked the earth. The hotel is just under really bad management. This was a terrible place to stay.

Wanted to leave a review because I booked this on Hotwire and came to read reviews and then got scared it was bad due to multiple negative reviews. It’s really not as bad as everyone has said, my room was very old but clean and I didn’t see any bugs. It served its purpose, comfy bed and hot shower and was close to the stadium I came for a football game. There was no coffee maker in the room so I always dock points for that. Had I not woken up when I did I would have missed the breakfast. But the hot breakfast was good. The room was definitely old and can use a refurbishment there were cracks in the walls and holes in the ceilings. The door didn’t close from the inside unless you pushed it shut and I had to make sure to use the security lock to make sure it didn’t swing open in the middle of the night. Other than that it was a decent hotel. Great for the price. I wasn’t looking for fancy just a one night trip so just needed a comfy place to sleep

The place was not safe feeling and the rooms were very, very, very, nasty. Our shoes kept sticking to the floors. I had stayed at this hotel for many different business trips in the past and was totally shocked at how this place went down hill. I was thankful they gave us back half of the first nights stay - but honestly, we didn't even sleep in the room. We had to find other accommodations so a full refund would have been appreciated. I've stayed in a lot of hotels - and this was the worst experience ever! So disappointing because this used to be a nice place to stay.

First the positives, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and kept to a decent cleanliness standard. But as for the negatives, due to this hotel being an extended stay location, they only clean the rooms once a week and don't think that sheets or towels need to be given to guests. I booked online from a HOTEL website and there was NO mention of this anywhere. I have stayed here since Thursday May 4th and I have to say it's not ideal the policies they have in place here. I would recommend they tell guests coming to stay here about the extended stay policy, and the situation regarding sheets and towels in the rooms. Also I know due to COVID breakfasts had to be curtailed somewhat previously, but the breakfast bags we are given every morning are poor. The value of that compared to what I paid for breakfast is quite contrasting. And when I do visit Charlotte again I won't be staying here. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here being completely honest. Again it's not the fault of the employees, but it's the policies put in place by management and the owners. I don't think it's unreasonable when you book a hotel, and pay the prices advertised, to expect hotel service to a decent standard.

We stayed here, to come and work at the operation Christmas child processing center. Our room, Suit was a surprise! We had two bedrooms two bathrooms, it was great for three ladies. I hope I can remember about this place and we will stay here again.they serve breakfast, wasn’t the best, but I’m not a big breakfast eater to begin with, so it worked out fine. Very nice motel!

Do NOT stay here. I have been in my room for maybe 45 minutes and I already have to write a review. Pull out bed had stains all over it, I have to sleep on the normal couch. Walls are all peeling, very sketchy area as well. Phone service didn't work so we had to go to the front desk. I don't even want to go to sleep because I'm scared that my car is going to be broken into or something or I'ma have roaches crawling on me. Staff doesn't seem that bad but I'm definitely not trying the breakfast. Thank god I'm only staying here for one night.

Room was sparkling. Everything available as described. Quiet even though it was 75% occupied. My only complaint is the return of my $50 deposit that I was supposed to receive back on my card in 7 to 10 business days starting may 7th. I am still waiting and was told on the 23rd that I would have to wait another 7 to 10 business days. I really wanted to book this location again when I come on business next month, but a month's wait for a deposit is a game changer for me and I cannot recommend.

The front desk staff were amazing and friendly. The room could’ve used some repairs since there was some water damage in the bathroom. But other than that I’ve was decently clean. The pool was closed for repairs when we got there and both the booking site and their website said nothing about it being closed so we were kinda bummed out especially for the price of the room for two nights.

My husband and I traveled here from Atlanta and I don’t recommend staying here. When we arrived the bathroom was not cleaned, especially the toilet. When I went down to the front desk to let the receptionist know she told me that the cleaning team was gone for the day. After a little back and forth she said that she would clean it. They also have a BAD bug problem!!! I saw so many bugssss, The water did not get hot so we had to take cold showers and the heat wasn’t working in 40 degree weather. After all of this I went back down to let the front desk know and was told that all of the rooms would have bugs because they are coming through the vents, and all of the showers were not hot and they would be working on them soon: I will be reaching out to corporate and letting them know I would like my $389 back!

I would really give no stars, but no option for that. This hotel was horrible, the only thing that looks even close to the pictures are the front of this hotel. The entire hotel smells horrible, the rooms were dirty, hair on the sheets, couches were torn and in bad repair. The pool was completely drained and had some kind of equipment in it. Ended up driving home 3 1/2 hours instead of staying. Make other plans!!

The hotel was OK. The Pool was down for Repairs. I did use the washer/dryers and it was good. They have a small selection of items to buy in the Lobby. Under utilized and we wanted snacks. Overall clean and quiet. The property could use some TLC but it's decent

The location isn't great. Someone got their car broken into while I was there. The hotel is nice overall but older, so the rooms are a bit older. As mine came with a broken towel holder for the shower but the room itself was quite large unexpectedly, which felt more like a 1 person apartment, which was nice. Staff was also nice and breakfast is on weekends.

Nice cozy suite style hotel. The beds are small full size I believe but comfy. There's also a small kitchen with basic cooking essentials. And a full breakfast in the morning is included with your stay. The only downside is it's about 2 miles to the stores. However there are three places to eat from next door so You're not totally S.O.L

The staff is amazing. The rooms and the entire hotel is always kept clean. My family and I moved to Charlotte from St. Louis and landed here until we figure out where we want to move and it was the best decision.

Mathew is awesome very helpful and wears a. Smile. The best employee y'all have. The wifi is awful that is the only thing other than garbage disposal broke it's been a month and still the maintenance man hasn't fixed it.

I have stayed at this location the past 4 years. They have recently been updating the building. It is quiet and a good location for my business purposes. There is a cook top which saves me from having to eat out every meal. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. I will continue to stay at this location.

Breakfast in bags and the halls just smelled so bad. Do not take the stairs they smell even worse. It's just a lingered smell that throws you off wether yourre in your room or not it's just there. The ac units are so weird and sound clunky which might keep you up at night. But the housekeepers work hard and are very respectful. Wouldn't recommend more than one night here

Worst hotel experience I have EVER had! The first room they put us in was infested with fleas. They were jumping all over us and biting. The carpets in every area I saw were FILTHY! Broken glass on one of the exit doors. Neither of the phones in our room worked. Smelled cigarettes all night long and woke up the next morning to the very heavy smell of marijuana (as though someone was smoking it in our bedroom). Had to close the door so that my young children wouldn’t get a contact high.

Everyone here is extremely nice and helpful, the rooms are a decent enough size and clean. The remotes could've been cleaned a little better before being wrapped with a clean seal of approval sticker though. Lol!! However, neither tv works and the couch didn't have backrest pillows leaving it useless. Plus sleep went out the window with getting up at every noise to check on the car. The area is very sketchy and the security guard they had didn't make me feel any safer. I shouldn't be more intimidating than a security guard. No plans on ever staying here again because of the location.

I don't typically leave reviews but I felt like I needed to. The room was more than what we expected in terms of size. The staff was really nice and polite. I did see cleaning crews cleaning every day and they seemed to be working really hard. However, the room was very dated and not as clean as I would've wanted it to be. The sheets did not look as clean but I tried not to think about that too much while I was staying there since it was technically one night . The reason why I am leaving this review is that after a long day of work, I drove for six hours before getting to this hotel. Well, after hours of driving and me and my husband needing some significant rest, the fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night. First time was about 2:30am and it kept going for 40 minutes. I understand that emergencies happen but there was no communication from the staff and there was no one there to guide us to explain what was happening. So, we leave the building outside to be extremely cold and wait and wait (for about 20 some minutes) until the alarm goes off. We go back inside , get settled again and around 4:30am the alarm went off again !! This time it was very short but our sleep was disturbed yet again and no explanation of what was happening. After all of that there was no apologies and not even a discount for our horrible time there. Will not be coming back and do not recommend.

The stay was okay. Wasn't what I expected. We reserve this hotel for our honeymoon away from home the day we got married ad the room was clean but not as expected. No cleaning of the room unless it's a week stay which is crazy who brings a broom mop and other items while on honeymoon. So we couldn't get our room clean while we stayed they had no clean towels available for next day use. This was unacceptable and crowds hanging in parking lot which made us feel un eased. The location was okay, we will not be going back at all.

So, we will start with a plus. The location is good and near to Carowinds. Overall the area seems nice. On to the bad. The room was not good, the beds small and uncomfortable. See photos. Surfaces were worn, sheets dirty. We booked 2 queen beds originally but the beds were pretty clearly full size beds and not queen, or in any case, were quite small and cramped. The microwave was missing the rotating tray in the center making it difficult to use.The pool is closed and has been for over a year apparently. Now on to more good things. The staff was good l, attentive and helpful, and by far this was the best part of the place. Overall, it will do, in a pinch, but I would go for other options in the area that are similarly priced

Got stranded in Charlotte after a hellish experience with American Airlines. Booked a room through a booking site and found an uber only to arrive at the hotel and find that the site had canceled my booking. I was fit to be tied. David at the front desk was extremely helpful and found us another room despite rooms selling out left and right due to the widespread airport issue. He even upgraded us to a better one. I was definitely at my breaking point having dealt with poor customer service, and cramped chaotic travel on an empty stomach so he really saved the day (and our whole trip we were ready to give up and go home). Thanks again!

Extremely blown away by the service provided. The friendliness, attention, politeness, and willing to help was superior. The rooms are clean, super well stocked with amenities. Thank you for making our stay pleasant.

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have prices much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed. This is the perfect place to stay if you’d like to be lied to. When we stayed, there was no breakfast, there was no evening activities and the staff wore moth-eaten clothes. Their website is very misleading. Their staff was also rude as hell! The rooms are very comfortable and clean and that’s the only positive that I can leave.
