    The only reason it got two stars is because the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Other than it didn't deserve that much. This location is very outdated and in need of a major facelift/update. I am a black card member and make a ton of use out of it. Due to my job i am able to visit locations all across the country. This is by far the most outdated location I've seen yet. They have cartoons playing on 3 of the tvs. Not sure why anyone wants to watch elmo or Clifford the big red dog. But okay. The bathroom is clean but lacking some amenities that other locations have. There is not much air circulation in the back of the gym. The air felt very stale and warm as if someone needed to open a window or something. The tanning beds are very outdated as well as the rest of the amenities in the "spa" area. The wear and tear on their equipment is very apparent. Many machines looked extremely used and abused. Especially their mats in the back corner, many of the hand grips and the labels on most of the weights. The seat on one of the row machines wobbled from left to right, and squeaked badly. The seat literally felt as if it was about to snap off. There were also some machines out of order. This location could definitely benefit from a major update. Please refer to attached images.

    I’m writing this review because of the employees of this Planet Fitness’s reaction to an incident my mother had while she was operating one of their workout machines. Last week my mother was using one of the workout equipments to exercise your thighs and after misunderstanding how to properly use the equipment after she watched someone else do the same thing, she got hit pretty hard on her head and eye. It was her wrongdoing but there were also no Spanish instructions. After she hit her head, she was dizzy and unable to move and was laying face down calling out for help. Some bystanders came to her aid and called the ambulance. My mother had to go to the hospital and get a CT scan to ensure there was no internal bleeding since the hit was pretty bad and inches away from her temple so it could have resulted in a tragedy. Thankfully she was okay and just had major swelling and bruising along with pain. A few days later she went back to the gym to ask for video footage of the incident so she could see how it all went down. After about 5 days the manager finally sent her a video he or another employee recorded on their phone of the video monitor. As I watched the video, I could hear the voices of the employees who were watching the video. One person chuckled after seeing my mother fall face forward and another employee was heard saying “she ain’t even trying to get up”. I feel like this was extremely insensitive and disrespectful as my 54 year old mother was just involved in a very serious accident. This post is not to put blame on anyone for the accident as I understand completely that she should have operated the equipment correctly if she had known but instead this post is to point out how disgusting the reaction of these employees were after seeing my mothers incident. I find it ironic that Planet Fitness, the place with a “judgment free zone”, has employees that can present these kinds of un-welcomed remarks. This not only hurt my mothers feelings but mine as well being her daughter and being so worried when the accident first took place and seeing how lightheartedly these employees took it. No compassion, no “I’m sorry this occurred at one of our gyms” no regard for her well-being. Not only was it mean and insensitive but also unprofessional. How could anyone feel comfortable going to a gym like this knowing there are employees that watch things like this happen and make snide remarks to each other? I think it’s important that my mother receive an apology and that this issue is addressed to the employees involved.

    Padding on several machines need to be replaced. They are old and torn. Weight labels or handles are entirely missing on several machines (pictures are attached) Also the employees are constantly on their phone but the paper towels are always out… went to another one and out and even out on the 3rd one that I went to.

    The management at this location is despicable. After going to management with a concern about another employee, making racial slurs directed at me, I quickly found out she too, was a manager. I then was told the reason my membership was canceled was because I accused another employee. I have it on video all management at this location is a sad excuse with a nametag. It is the face that represents the brand that I will never give my business to ever again. You couldn’t pay me to walk into another planet fitness I would rather pay the hundred dollars a month to go to a decent gym. Not only that this place is disgusting. It needs a good cleanup a physical cleanup and an employee clean out.

    It’s a good gym but the the lady manager in charge is horrible. The lady manager was rude and judgmental, probably a inferiority issue. Every time we have come here she has made us sign in multiple times and sign permissions, every time. And today I had enough and she had the worse type of attitude with me and I just couldn’t let her treat me like trash. I didn’t in any way threaten her or said anything that wasn’t true. And she call the cops, the worse planet fitness I have been to.

    It’s usually pretty dirty and smelly in the locker room. The equipment is on the older side and frequently breaks. There’s always annoying people in the weight room and the staff doesn’t do anything about it. People have came up to me telling me lift more or they’re just being overall obnoxious. The staff keeps harassing me about keeping my backpack with me instead of putting it in the lockers where I know people have been robbed. Get your priorities right and it might be decent. Managers dont care about others being completely disrespectful but you better put your weights down flat and lock up your bag? Every other planet fitness in the Charlotte area that ive been to are far superior in every way.

    I went today and the guy at the front desk was just on there phone, didn’t bother to greet us. Also when I went to get paper towels it was empty so I went to another one and it was also empty. I went to another area and to my surprise, no paper towels again. That employee definitely needs to go. When we were leaving he was still on his phone.

    This place is disorganized. I tried transferring 3 months ago and was told by the manager Sabrina that she would take of it. So I got a membership at crunch and have been going there. Fast forward 3 months and I decided to come and use my planet fitness membership and they still didn’t transfer my membership. It took a simple call for them to make and they wait 3 months to do it. LEADERSHIP IS DISORGANIZED.

    The assistant manager is very rude and seems to lack the ability to interact with guests in a professional manner. During my interaction with her not only was she rude to me but other guests that she had to speak to as they were coming in as well. There’s no need to work in a customer service position if it means you must deal with people in such a nasty manner. It’s not about what you say but how to say it. you can’t just talk to people any kind of way. Never had a bad experience at the gym up until having to interact with the assistant manager. That one interaction was enough for me to take my membership to another gym. No way was I paying for a membership that has an assistant manager that carries her self like that. Nor would I want to give any more of my energy to interact with someone like that.

    This would be the reason I cancel my membership. The staff isn’t very friendly including management. The tanning beds “never work” in the several visits I’ve had. Place isn’t clean and not well kept up with at all. Very sad

    Staff is HORRIBLE. Visited the club as a guest, I came in before my brother who is a black card member and they let me in the changing room. The gentlemen up front named Jay, followed me to the dressing room and waited outside to tell me that I needed to wait upfront for mt brother. Why am I being followed to the dressing room? He also wanted to charge me $10 to workout for 30 minutes and when I asked about a 3 day pass he said it doesn’t exist. I went online and signed up for a 3 day pass and wanted to begin my workout before my shift at the clinic down the road and he proceeded to make my check in and workout experience VERY UNPLEASANT. I was a member of planet fitness more than 5 years ago and if I was slightly considering joining again, Jay at the front desk changed my mind.

    I tried to sign up in person and he pointed at the board and said sign up online , that’s annoying . If I wanted to sign up online I wouldn’t have coke to the front desk… then it’s asking for my routing and account number why can’t I just use my debit card . I’m annoyed , only reason I’ll use this place is because it’s closest and other options are to far . Also edited this review went to go tan OMG IT SMELLS GNARLY BACK HERE and the bed I picked is slathered in someone else’s left overs. But everyone at the front desk can talk about getting her hair done and what his weekend plans are . It’s south blvd tyvola area what did I expect . As someone who lives in southpark this place grosses me OUT . Wish it’d let me post if a picture of this! ADDITION EDIT: I decided to cancel its freaking gross as heck everytime I’ve been , lost my business after like 3 days lol. But really you forced me to sign up online when I asked for help and noooo but to cancel I have to come in person. Is that your only job cus it’s not cleaning that club or helping sign up memberships. I’m seriously mad .

    Several broken machines and paper towel dispensers at a time. Smith machines are hardly ever available. Atmosphere in weight area seems more like a party than workout. No paper towels in bathroom. Hot water not working often. Not 24 hours on the weekend.

    This place needs to be clean more than once a day. They have 3 people at the front desk. One person needs to be cleaning. Every time I come here the bathrooms and showers are filthy. Tampons and napkins are over flowing. Shower drains are filled with hair. Its not a good looks. This is a very busy location.

    Good afternoon, Google viewers! I hope everyone is having a great day! As you all may know, Planet Fitness mission is to enhance people’s lives by providing a high-quality fitness experience in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment, which we call the judgement free zone, where anyone-and we mean anyone can feel they belong. As a longtime and concerned customer, I feel the location at 6025 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28217 does not follow Planet Fitness mission statement. The staff is not friendly at all. Being in a business establishment requires being professional, caring, driven, responsible, approachable, de-escalating conflicts, greeting customers with respect, and the list goes on and on. Please ensure your workers are very careful with approaching people with disabilities. Both, the unprofessional, female, and male employee decided to approach me about how I was working out. Due to my disability with muscles, I am unable to lift weights a certain way and it may cause me to strain a little while lifting weights. Both employees approached me with an attitude and the guy came off extremely aggressive. I went to the counter and expressed how I felt and there were no apologies at all. Please note, I will never come to this location again and plan on canceling my membership. I cannot and won’t allow anyone to disrespect me and my disability. I seriously hope their regional manager will have a chance to read this review. Base off the other reviews, it seems like this female worker has a problem working with Planet Fitness customers. The lady in charge is very disrespectful and always has an attitude with people. She thinks she’s the gym owner and has a bad vibe. She’s always staring at you, and she doesn’t even let u workout in peace. I rather workout at home than at this gym. I’m not coming back here again 👎 How long will Planet Fitness allow this worker to disrespect their customers. She also seems power hungry and doesn’t do well with being in charge. Both employees should be ashamed of how they treated me and hope one day they will change from their unprofessional ways.

    Management at this particular location was so unprofessional and rude. We have been members here for over a year and after I cancelled without any fees, my wife was told she had to pay a contracting fee to cancel even though we both joined at the same time. Management processed the cancellation without informing us of the fee and then said there was nothing they could do about it even though they said if we just paid one more month then the fee would have been voided. Don’t you think we would have liked to save that $40+ given the chance?!? They told us too bad it’s been processed and couldn’t do anything even though they admitted fault. This is a terribly run location and we will be contacting corporate to have this fixed even though it should have been you that fixed this due to your error!

    I signed up when I arrived for the first time, the person in front desk didn't greet me and it was the first time I was there, I scammed my card and she says come back, I'll take your photo and she didn't say welcome or greeting. I did not like the service

    Wow. I had a horrible experience with the manager at planet fitness today. I noticed that they have been short of staff for a couple of months now They were meant to take out installment from my account and the staff today who had seen me about 3 times was so apologetic stating that when his manager comes at 7am she will sort it out. Sabrina the manager came at 7am and I went to meet her and I was trying to explain that I don’t know why the funds had not come out and she responded- “I do not start work until 9am so I am not here” and walked away from me while I was still talking. In response, I say ok then I do not see you- are you walking away? She walks back and says - it is against our policy to be rude so I am canceling your membership. This was unbelievable. I was like what? She said yes you heard me. So I started recording the conversation immediately. She walks away and I tell her new staff that I have been recording the call and he should tell her. I get in my car and realized that I should ask for this policy to see if this is always not against the policy to have a manager be rude to you too. So I go back to ask for this policy and tell her that I am recording the call cos I am an Attorney and I’d like to review the policy. Sabrina goes that the policy is in the app and that I should leave the premises and said she will call the cops on me. I was even more shocked and disgusted at my experience today. I am both humiliated and angry at how I have been treated at this planet fitness. This has been the worst experience in customer service I have ever had and to think that it started from Planet fitness fault and a manager can be rude and then just terminate one’s membership for no reason and then call the cops on them for asking for a policy. I am horrified! I have our recording and I will expect that planet fitness resolves this issue.

    Do not come here! The female manager is rude and has no people skills or communication skills and on top of that very stereotypical. Terrible just terrible...was treated very poorly and I'm a loyal black card member...she should be fired...Everytime I come there I get a weird vibe...least she could do is smile and greet you....smh..how do you hire people like this???

    I signed up for a membership in December of last year when they were running the $1 down and $10 a month special. I called the store and asked a lot of questions regarding whether or not I was in a contract, if there were any cancelation fees, or any hidden costs associated. I was reassured by the sales rep that I could cancel any time for any reason and pay no extra fees. I haven’t stepped foot in that building since signing up and decided it would be best to go ahead and cancel my membership. I was told I would have to pay a $58 cancellation fee, after I’ve already paid for 5 months worth of membership fees I never used AND paying a $40 annual fee upon signing up. I asked to speak with a manager about this and Calvin tells me, “I am the manager” and proceeds to say there is nothing he can do for me. He acknowledged I hadn’t used my membership 1 time since starting my account. I then proceeded to call back about 5 min later to learn he had gone on lunch and was assured he would return my call when he got back. I never received a phone call back. So, I reached out to the location to speak with him and was told he was gone for the day and that he was an assistant manager, not the head manager. I am very disappointed with how Planet Fitness is handling this. I am not expecting a refund on the months I’ve paid for but I was specifically told there were no extra costs or fees and Calvin’s response to that was “it’s in the fine print of the contract” a contract I never even saw in the first place. I would not recommend this PF location to anybody. The management is very unhelpful and uncaring to their customers.

    This Planet Fitness location is great. It's not the most friendly but honestly, that's what I like. The people there let you get right to it after you check in and are knowledgeable when you need assistance. I JUST became a member but I am already loving it.

    Very out dated, half of the equipment was out of service. Showers had mold all over the tile. Not very clean. No one was working at the front desk when I walked in or when I left. Seems like this location is just run down, out dated, dirty and under staffed.

    This PF Club is smaller than most, and should be able to give more attention to the gym. cardio equipment is newer in the last 2 years. The Black Card spa has not been updated since the club opened. The tanning beds have not worked in a month. Stop playing nice with Corp. Get unprofessional about it and get your equipment fixed.

    I just wanted to say thank you to the manager or assistant manager that helped me this morning. She was really nice and had great communication skills concerning an issue I had. The gym overall is clean and this is a great location.

    I've been a Planet Fitness member on and off for about 10 years. The black card is worth its weight and gold! After posting I read some other interviews and must say that I mainly use the treadmill and elliptical. I haven't gotten into the other equipment. But if you're into cardio you're all good!

    This place is in need of a serious upgrade. The equipment is old, torn, ripped, broken, and just plain raggedy. I have the black card pass but i would never bring a guest to this sub-par gym. It’s embarrassing. I have not had much interaction with the staff but they seem nice.

    This gym is crying clean me with a little I give dam !! That said!! PF are business investments not your neighborhood x high School football star running his own gym there's a little or no dinner interaction between owners and gym members in 7 years I've talked to one and that was three the staff I paid extremely low so you get what you pay for I don't know about you and I'm not cleaning up your bathroom messages for 12 to 15 bucks an hour the hot water problems on the other hand is a the simply distressful could be fixed very easily but I just think the owner really disappeared I've been telling him for months maybe he needs to get in his shower and then let it go cold on him right before he has to go to work after a good workout just what I mean no bite me getting ridiculous and feel pretty bad gym equipment has tears in the it's really disgraceful but like I said they manage my father and have no pride in what they're what they're running and just as long as the business is profitable that's all it's about and so be it I don't pay much anyway so I don't expect much

    Staff was nice. It was not crowded. Members had really good etiquitte. It was clean and people put their stuff away. They dont have a ton of stuff but it is a PF. Good amount of cable attachments. Only real complaint was their smith machines DESPERATELY needed to be oiled. Those machines needs to be mantained and PF has never understood that One machine u could barely move with no weight on it.

    I’m a Black Card member that travels the nation. This PF location is in the short list of worst I’ve seen. Shower, changing, and toilet stalls had trash in them. No hot water at all. Gross! Lucky I didn’t have my phone with me. Walked out and will find another one nearby. Do better!!!

    Good gym to get most of the workouts done I need. Not very crowded at all even during after work hours on weekdays. People are respectful and the gym is clean. Haven't tried out any of the massage chairs or tanning so can't comment on that. If you're looking to do squats or deadlifts or other Olympic lifts there isn't equipment here but for everything else you should be good.
