I ended up in this pub on another expedition into the beer kingdom. There were soccer players on TV who had the sensitivity of a horse in their feet. It was full like on a refugee ship and the atmosphere was great. The prices were good for a primitive man like me who likes to spend his last pennies on a light beer from Bayreuth.

A great place. Everything you'd expect from an Irish pub. Guiness, football, pub food! Staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was good, your typical pub fair. Good selection of pub food. Great location too.

Great drinks and delicious food, good veggie options as well! Nice vibe and friendly service :) we went there three days on a row during our visit to Berlin 😅 sometimes for a full meal other times just for a drink. They show football games and other sport events as well. Outside area is only open until 10 pm though.

I recently visited "The Lir" in Berlin and have mixed feelings about my experience. The food was definitely a highlight of my visit - well-prepared and delicious. However, the service left much to be desired. We had a difficult time getting the attention of our server, and when we did, our orders were often incorrect or delayed. Despite the service issues, the atmosphere of the pub/restaurant was pleasant, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. The decor was well-done, with an authentic Irish pub feel. Overall, I would rate my experience at "The Lir" a 3.5/5. While the food was enjoyable, the service issues and incorrect orders detracted from the overall experience. However, the atmosphere of the place was enjoyable enough that I would consider giving it another chance in the future.

Best fish and chips I've had outside UK/Ireland. Friendly service and reasonable prices for good pub food. Table service can be a bit overwhelmed during busy periods however.

Ein schön verstecktes, gemütliches Pup mit einer Außenterrasse (bis 22h). Für Sportsfreunde gibt es die wichtigsten Spiele auf Bildschirmen zu sehen. Die Küche ist wirklich perfekt, was den Geschmack und die Menge betrifft. Die Teller sind reichlich gefüllt. Die Bedienung ist stets sehr gut gelaunt und fröhlich. Manchmal vergisst eine gewisse Person gern mal, dass was bestellt wurde... Aber am Ende wird sich immer wieder ganz putzig entschuldigt, was auch seinen Charm haben kann 😄 Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne!

There's this pub in Berlin called the Lir, where they serve the very best beer. There is nothing above, if it's Guinness you love! It tastes as if heaven is near. 🤓

Had a nice time here and staff were lovely. Unfortunately when we went to pay a rude female bartender kept slyly remarking on how many drinks we’d had, while also suggesting we were too drunk to resolve the bill (which we definitely weren’t - in fact, we were originally given a bill for the wrong table). Certainly a first being shamed for drinking in a pub, and an Irish one at that. Nice venue overall, but would think twice before returning because of the unnecessary rudeness - all the more off-putting in a city famed for its relaxed bar culture.

This Irish bar is one of my go to bars. Its the perfect vibe at a good location and perfect crowd i seek with happy faces serving tasty beers. For the first time i tried something on their food menu as a proper meal which was Shepherd's pie and loved it as well.

Cozy, warm, friendly and fast. Delicious Shepard’s Pie (and Nachos!) and all the Guinness I could drink (with Cider or Port or Blackcurrant syrup too if you want the fancy stuff). Lots of seating inside and out. My fav Irish pub in Berlin.

Watching rugby games here are fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the service is awesome even when it's at full capacity. I would recommend following them on Instagram to ensure the opening hours are correct for when they open for games, otherwise you will have trouble getting a seat if you show up too close to start time.

Good pub food, fantastic service- lovely staff, atmosphere is great. Really good fun to watch the rugby and impressive quality of service whilst the place is busy.

Easily my favorite place to watch Premier League Football. The staff is great, the atmosphere is always good and the food is okay but very good considering bar food standards.

Great Pub. Very good place to watch football, and the food is amazing (especially the chips). Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Toilets (men's toilet) relatively dirty and not enough urinals/stalls, almost pissed myself once.

Nice local pub with reasonable prices. Good option if you want to watch football. Food is ok, but nothing special (I tried burger and fish & chips). Service is friendly, but they often forget to take away your empty plates/glass and ask you if you want another drink. I have been here three times during my work trip and I would return back, even though it is not perfect, it has a good vibe.

Other than cheekily muting the English national anthem during the Rugby 😅 I can't fault the place. Very good food (loved the spice bag) and good atmosphere to watch the rugby and Premier league football. 👌

Genuinely one of the best Irish pubs I’ve been to. In Ireland and outside. David, you’re the man, great host and serious craic. Lovely experience to end a great trip - will be back.

Very nice place in a cozy location, reasonably friendly staff. The homemade lemonade is tasty but they unfortunately ran out. The onion rings are delicious too but they ran out of those as well. The potato wedges we ordered instead of the onion rings were wedges alright, meaning quartered boiled potatoes with little to no seasoning — I mean I'm german, but not german enough to call this a snack. The rest of the food items my group ordered looked very nice as well and I was told they were tasty too.

The Lir is an incredible Irish pub in Berlin. The Guinness beer they serve is the best in town, and their nachos are absolutely delicious. The ambience is cozy and the staff is fantastic. If you're a fan of Irish beers, I strongly recommend The Lir. It's a must-visit!

I think the big heyday of Irish pubs in Berlin is long gone. Some more remote, nice places remain. So this is just a bar with good food run by English speaking people. I'm sitting in the garden listening to the birds chirping and drinking ale after a delicious meal. That's all.

Got here after a 12 hour travel day and everyone was lovely and kind. The fish and chips hit the spot. Didn't love the mushy peas, but no big deal. I walk by this pub several times a day and the crowd always seems lively and friendly. Very authentic due to the staff being Irish!

Everything fits in the Lir. Nice ambience, cool staff, good drinks of every kind including Guinness and Red Ale of course. Meals are also available from finger food to big portions. Guests are here from probably everywhere, you will meet locals and regular crowd as well as foreigners who just stop by. It’s not one of the tourist places but maybe the best irish place to be in town. Sláinte

Best Irish pub in Berlin, even my friends from Ireland agree, though they left Berlin already. If You're looking for a good pint of Guinness, accompanied with nice fusion-kitchen-food or just classic fish and chips? It's the place to go! If you're a football fan, in Premier League or else, it's the place to go as well! And its always nice to have a pint, sitting at the bar and getting to know what's the craic! Great whiskey selection as well! Not only Irish!

They said come and watch football but it's a small place and no place to stand, so If you are not seated you can't watch football. SHAME! As a Liverpool fan I was never turned down on a place to watch my team and this place was the first. SHAME! Don't go there if you want to watch football, lame place with not a real football atmosphere.

Delicious hamburgers and widely diverse menu. Made to perfection, good reaponsive service and very affordable prices. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone I know! Thank you!

This place is amazing good staff very helpful with food choices and he wasn't wrong and football everywhere being a Liverpool fan and not living in England is good definitely be back. Vacation plus ID is a must then you can enjoy that atmosphere and you can pay by card or cash would say more then 5 stars

If you're looking for... A reminder of home, or a perfect little hideaway. The team in The Lir are extremely sound and the pints of Guinness are great. I believe they're #1 in Berlin. Anyway, a solid spot to watch sport but be there 40 minutes before kick-off. Rest assured good food is on offer so you can soak up the warm atmosphere.

Great atmosphere. Had 2 cocktails and the fish and chips, it was okay and tasted fresh. Chips were a bit big for my taste.
