Power went out and there was no one there at the front desk to offer any sort of assistance, explanation, or ANYTHING. It's graduation weekend, arguably one of the busiest weekends of the year and there's no one to man the front desk? Very dissatisfied. Will be asking for my money back

My company booked at this hotel so we could meet with some clients nearby. My staff and I are use to adverse living conditions as our work sometimes takes us to third world countries. Having said that this hotel was one of my all time worse. This dated hotel and it's hallways smell of mold and BO. The room was barely maintained , no fresh basics such as Shampoo or even toilet paper. I found bunched up used toilet paper behind my pillow stuffed between the head rest. The bed was very uncomfortable and arround 2 in the morning my toilet flushed itself! I genuinely though someone was in the room until I checked. I tried to find staff but the entire hotel was empty. Consequently my crew and I got very little sleep and our meeting was a write off. We were so tired we had to take turns driving to the airport during the day. It doesn't seem like the price matches the accomodation . We have since started staying at a nearby hotel which is less expensive and better. I also took a look at the pool and conference room. The pool looked slimy and old and the conference room nothing near what our client had to offer. The attached cafe was not great either the bread was awful. I felt compelled to write this so to hopefully avoid someone else experiencing the same. I only speak for myself not my staff.

My friend and I booked online and were given a confirmation number. When we arrived the girl at the front desk said she did not have our reservation and that all rooms were booked due to a construction crew staying that weekend. We had to pay extra for the one room that was available despite having booked online for a cheaper price. We needed the room and were tired after a long day of driving so we agreed. We tried out the pool to relax but the hot tub was broken. The pool was ok. Sleep was impossible that night. I had never experienced anything quite so disturbing. The toilet flushed on its own around 3 am and there were loud voices of kids and adults in the hall that repeated all night long until around 6 am. The curtains blew straight out a few times despite the AC being on low. I will never stay here again. The service was terrible and the atmosphere eerie to say the least.

The hot tub is working, the pool water was warmer but the pool room itself is really hot. Rooms were clean

We would stay there again. There is a restaurant attached to the building and the food and service is exceptional. We would definitely eat there again.

I’m a student and stay here at the moment and the only reason is cause you can do it by the month. It’s more than other places however is much less than paying for a year. The hotel is very dated and the rooms are not that great. The only nice area is the pool. There has been a few other places which have just popped up which are much nicer and slightly more now which do recommend. Keep in mind if you stay here as a student to diligently record everything as they tried billing me for a plugged toiled 2 months after I moved out which I clearly stated at the beginning was like that. They reversed the charge but had to argue about it never the less. Not great and thankfully better options seem to be emerging.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Claymore Inn in Antigonish, and it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The inn's exterior may not be the most modern, but it's the warm and welcoming atmosphere inside that truly counts. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and provided all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff members were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or questions. One of the standout features of the Claymore Inn was its restaurant. The on-site dining offered a delicious selection of dishes, including some local specialties that were a real treat. It was a convenient and tasty option for dining after a long day of exploring the area. The inn's location was also a plus, being close to Antigonish's attractions and within reasonable driving distance to scenic spots like Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail. While the Claymore Inn may not be the most luxurious accommodation, it provided a comfortable and affordable base for my visit to Antigonish. It's a solid choice for travelers looking for a friendly and convenient place to stay in the area.

Though a bit dated, this hotel is clean and comfortable. We had a quiet, restful night's sleep with breakfast at Justamere Cafe'. The front desk service is excellent, the staff warm and friendly. The only negative I can offer is that calling to make a last minute reservation didn't work for us as no one answered the phone. However, making an online reservation was quick and easy. The desk clerk called about an hour after we made the reservation to ensure we'd be there before 10pm when they close.

Sheets and linen clean. Bed comfortable. Beware of limited pool hours. I liked the soap dispensers in the rooms…no garbage little bottles!

Everything was fine except for the bed. It was like sleeping on a rock!

Found a hair in bathtub and a hair on the soap tray. The exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work. Otherwise it was nice but beds moved a lot when someone else moved in it.

Very awesome that there’s an electric vehicle charger here; and the food & atmosphere at Justamere Cafe is great too.

We have gotten exceptional service from the Claymore Inn & Suites, from finding us a room for 2 nights during a very busy summer season … thank you!
