Love this park, free parking with long walks across wooded areas, large open manicured grassed fields, wild fields that slope down to the main lake and seating around the cafe. Great dog walking with poo bins around each field and wooded areas. After several dry days some parts are disabled friendly most paths are soil and some shingle paths, could be challenging for unpowered chair users. Nice lake with wild birds nesting with the cafe to one side, toilet block to the side of the cafe does have step free access. Always try to visit at least once a week, great views from the top fields.

Take your time and be carefull as,on coming cars going up and down the lane but there are places to pull in . Once in the car park plenty of space and great access to walks in all directions ( no toilets or eat/ drinking facilities, all located down by the pond area,.)Sign post at the bottom of the hill that you pass will state what time the gates will be closed & locked

Whether you want a play area for the kids, a stroll around the pond or a proper yomp, Capstone Park's 114 hectares has it all. I like the mix of wooded walks and open air spaces. There are plenty of dog walkers, but they're pretty well behaved - the dogs too! Free fresh air that feels a million miles away. Love it.

Basic car park but does lead to some very lovely walks throughout the woods and country park. A short walk to some beautiful hillsides for a picnic and if you go at the right time of year the woods are full of blooming Blundell making for a very stunning walk. Nice little walk to the country park and it's amenities but be warned the walks are very hilly and some paths rather bumpy due to tree roots.

Great place for a long walk. Especially dog friendly or in the summer a great place to fly a kite!! Walk down to the cafe at the lakeside and have a lovely cup of tea and a cake before walking back (uphill to work off this calories).
