My son and I have trained at Granite Gym for a few months now. Both the coaches and students have welcomed us with open arms. We both felt very welcome. Chris has really improved my 15yo sons confidence, which has shown not only at the gym but in day to day life too. Chris and the rest of the team offer a high level of training tailored to the level you are. This is great for anyone of all walks of life.

Me and my brother have trained here on multiple occasions, both being top fighters (ranked no1 for our age and weight) it’s hard to find gyms that are gonna add to my world of knowledge but Chris is your man if you need anything technical!! You could train here everyday for the rest of your life and Would still not be able to sap all his knowledge. He is a true blessing to the fight game to have people like him around and is also amazing with beginners as I’ve had the honour to teach alongside him and see how he teaches, the gyms atmosphere is amazing and will cater to whatever your looking for. Your losing out massively if you don’t choose to train here.

I'm new to Muay Thai and found Granite Gym a few months ago and I'm glad I did this is a great place to train. Chris is fun to be around and is a top coach. He has so much knowledge and experience and does his best every session for you to feel at home and learn as much as you can. Granite has a real good atmosphere, everyone here is working together to improve eachother and have fun too, I look forward to every session.

I've been involved sports and martial arts most of my life ranging from Karate, Judo, Boxing, Kickboxing, noGi grappling and a range of other team sports training at well over 15+ clubs for both extended periods of time and short visits. Granite is where I have settled and a place I will undoubtedly come to for the rest of my life, for the teaching, fighting and strong friendships that I have built with my time there. Fighting gyms all have their own nuisances from the fake master to the corporate, the pushy and intense to the laissez faire and everything in between. Finding the sport and club that is right for you is important and to summarise Granite I'd pin the focus on Authenticy. You have the opportunity to take on as much or as little as you like, to diversify with world-leading coaches in different disciplines, and mix with people from a world of different backgrounds but one thing you cannot avoid is being yourself. In a gym where you can giggle like a child or kick someone's head of like a killer, ego's must be left at the door, you therefore build a strong character to compliment the physical and technical improvements you will inevitably pick up. Learning to accept who you are, speak honestly and freely, have an enormous amount of fun and reflect when you are humbled. Granite suits my lifestyle, I can train hard when I want (pushed to the boundaries I set!) and I am not penalised or overly pressured to be anyone more than I am. My Nogi has come on an enormous amount since training at Granite, The little time I have engaged with stand up here too has help me calm my style, control my breath and control some of my tells. I've had the chance to engage in other sports as support staff and my fight iq and understanding has deepend overall with time taken to discuss technique and strategy alongside the standard burpee! Thank you Chris & co, Mentors & Friends. Big up!

Best MMA gym around, the head coach Chris is fantastic and so are the guys there to train with. Really welcoming gym with great variety of different classes. I wholeheartedly recommend for anyone of any levels considering training Muay Thai, grappling or other combat sports.

I've been going to granite for nearly 2 years now, since I was 16. The atmosphere is incredible and everyone there is extremely nice and always happy to help. All the coaches: Chris, Sickers and Ant are brilliant, all teaching in their own style which you won't get bored of. Granite gym covers so many disciplines at such high levels: Muay thai, Boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, judo and even strength and conditioning classes ( just have a look at the booking system.) Also throughout the week granite gyms jiu jitsu and mma is tought by high level black belts in jiu jitsu. Also expect to see 'The Guvnor', an old school Olympic wrestler, still coming down and showing brilliant techniques even though he is in his 80s. Always expect to be pushed in granite gym but always walk out knowing you had a good workout. Overall the coaches and fighters at granite are brilliant, all happy to help and have a laugh. After reading Adam Woods reviews I totally disagree. Everyone is entitled to an opinion of course but I also remember in fighting you will be pushed. It's all about being comfortable in uncomfortable situations. You say your son was upset after his first sparring session which I totally understand, but everyone would of definitely looked after him and kept it light, as you do in muay thai sparring. It's about skill, not just beating someone up...it's just training. Unfortunately you have to be patient with fighting as well as building the mindset for it, as you do with most things. It's so satisfying to see yourself and other people around you progress, and become physically and mentally stronger. I do hope your son gives granite another go, and maybe you do too. Just remember you will be pushed out of your comfort zone as that is what fighting is.

Better than 5 stars! Been going here with my dad for a couple months now doing the jui jitsu classes. When I started I was nervous as I am the youngest in the class and had no experience but thanks to Chris me and my dad feel welcomed. Chris has also helped me become a more confident person with his humour and advice 🤣. Chris and frajola are great coaches who have began teaching me bjj. The gym has a welcoming community, great coaches and also Chris’ good music taste🔥. The community has helped me get better by also teaching me and letting me experiment with my moves and giving me good feedback along side the coaches. Chris is a very extroverted coach which helps make the gym such positive and fun environment. I highly recommend this mma gym👍

Honestly 5 stars isn't enough for this place. Never felt uncomfortable , and I think this is pretty rare for a fight gym. Most importantly this isn't a place where you'll only see monsters on the mats, it's a place for people from all walks of life. The head coach Chris is a fantastic muay thai coach, and regularly gets other very high level coaches on the mats (bjj black belts) for us to learn from. Come play. Badge x

GRANITE GYM is a top class MMA gym. The classes are very well structured, focusing on technical detail and the skills are really applicable if you want to do MMA, specialise in a discipline or just use for self defence. The coach is top of his game (Chris Granite Chin Bungle) his Muay Thai knowledge is endless and is held in high regard in the MMA community. He is really approachable too. You will definitely improve your game if you attend this gym!! I would definitely recommend GRANITE to anyone. The club is really welcoming of new members, feels more like a family than just your local gym! 🙏

Friendly gym where you can learn a range of skills like Muay Thai, MMA & boxing whilst improving fitness. No judgement, just quality teaching and a community of like minded people.

Entering an MMA gym as an unfit novice was daunting to say the least. I was welcomed and any fears I had quickly subsided. Chris is extremely experienced and is good fun to be around. Anyone with any doubts needn't worry and get themselves through the door for the first time.

So, I've been hitting up this place called Granite Gym lately, and it's been a total game-changer for my combat sports journey. I mean, I walked in there not knowing a thing about Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA, or Wrestling. But let me tell you, Chris, the guy who owns it, he's a living Muay Thai legend. Learning from him is like a masterclass. He's got this way of making everything so easy to understand and digest. And the coaching crew? They're top-notch. Whether you're into Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA, or Wrestling, they've got experts for each. You can even mix and match if you're feeling fancy. But the best part? It's the vibe. It's not just a gym; it's a family. Everyone's got each other's backs, pushing you to your limits. I've gotta say, as a newbie, Granite Gym's changed me, inside and out. I'm more disciplined, focused, and confident. So whether you're gunning for competition or just want to get in shape and defend yourself, this place has got you covered. In a nutshell, if you're looking for a spot to train, grow, and become a total badass, Granite Gym's where it's at.

I have been attending classes at Granite Gym for exactly a year and would sum the experience up in one phrase "life changing". Chris Garnett has a seemly never ending pool of knowledge regarding techniques on the mats, but more importantly has all of the qualities of an effective and successful coach to inspire you to push yourself beyond what you thought was possible. The most important part of Granite Gym however is the real sense of community that exists within the gym. Every member is invested in the growth of eachother and is eager to help when they can to see eachother grow. Whether you'd like to compete, learn a skill or just keep fit. I couldn't recommend anywhere else but Granite Gym. ....plus the Gym Looks like a level in Tekken which is pretty sick.

Easily the best in Kent for muay thai and MMA. Everybody you will meet is very friendly and will go out there way to welcome you and make sure your settled. Never been to a gym like it...

Fantastic gym, no egos just pure fun and energy. Whether you want to compete or just get fit, this is the place for you. I've made so many friends that I never would of in everyday life. I've learnt discipline, determination and true character from Chris Garnett and the other members of staff. Best place for Muay Thai, MMA and Wrestling in Medway.
