Mash potato green/grey colour like play dough and solid that you could slice. Carrots raw. Beer (IPA) flat and cloudy. Nothing about this pub is inviting. Not at all sure why we tried it in the first place. All furniture dated and ripped seating. Burgers, chips, cheesey garlic bread was perfect.

If I could do NO STARS I WOULD The food and service, especially the manageress was diabolical! The Lasagna looked disgusting and was told if exchanged would look the same! Hence sent back! The garlic bread was sent back as tasted like dishwater!!! No refund and no apology! We shall never go back there and definitely wouldn’t recommend! Terrible! Worse place/food/service ever ! 😡

It was my Mums birthday, they helped me with a nice surprise for her and made the day even more special. I really love this place and would definitely come back. Good for money too it’s not too expensive and it is really nice as are there staff

Awful atmosphere. The food once served was warm at best. Generally the flavours were not great. The chef didn't season the food, ingredients were missing and when we questioned this - the chef and the service member were very stand offish with us. We only ate the food because we were hungry... Generally a poor experience and wouldn't be in a rush to go back there again. We noticed a fire exit was blocked and barricaded on our way out - so I question a lot of the health and safety policies in

Had the chicken tikka masala, tiny portion more like the size of a starter! Dessert looked like it was launched in the glass and no attention had been paid to make it look appetising! Very slow clearing tables with staff just wandering around in a world of their own. All in all very unprofessional and won’t return!

I would give zero stars if I could. Booked an evening meal for 7. 30pm.We took 15 mins to look at menu and when we went to order food apparently the chef had finished cooking for the evening. So at 7.45 pm we were told no more food would be served. Appsosutely pathetic service, how can they call themselves a restaurant. Will never go there again.

Had a brilliant afternoon at the Poachers Pocket. Lovely roast dinner which was really good, great portion sizes, hot food and was thoroughly enjoyed. Isn’t the first time we’ve eaten here so knew it would be good 😁 We had a few drinks in the bar after and it was a great atmosphere - football was on, lots of people and a really enjoyable afternoon. Thanks to all the staff for making sure we had everything we needed and for being friendly and welcoming. A little shout out to Toni (I hope I spelt that right) who was the manager I believe- she welcomed us in and was obviously making sure that everything was running smoothly (which it was) , which meant everyone was happy and having a good time! So nice to have a local pub /restaurant that we can’t fault- from the food to the service and how it’s run! We will be back very soon! Thank you! 😁

12 of us booked the festive 3 course meal on 2nd December, pub very welcoming and well presented. Staff very attentive and food very good value, we will be back.

Had our company dinner here absolutely brilliant like always. Friendly staff and very helpful enjoy coming here. Breakfast is also worth coming for see you all soon Peter and Jackie.

The meals are amazing, lovely service, the experience was amazing even the employees are amazing, definitely going there again and I suggest everyone else to do so!!

The pub is nice, the staff are welcoming - it's always busy in there the only issue I have ever had is parking - the first time I visited the signs for putting in your car reg weren't obvious enough, another time I had put in my car reg but the machine clearly wasn't connecting - on both those occasions getting a £100 parking ticket in the post was upsetting..... Saying that the staff did sort it out for me with no hesitation. So overall a great pub

I came up with my partner and 3 kids, we didnt book but luckily was seated after not a long wait. Service, staff and food was lovely. Will defo go back again soon. Thank you Poachers Pocket.

Had a great meal here and was served by a lad called Conner t and to be honest never been to a restaurant and looked after as much as we was here. Brilliant experience and great service. Hungry horse are blessed to have an amazing server 100% returning

Have been coming to the poachers for years. They always make sure we have an enjoyable time, and always great service. Food is always amazing and great staff. Can I also say there is a new member of staff Natasha who is amazing and goes above and beyond

Don't know what's happened but the food not been great lately . Meals have been cold. Today I had cod very dry didn't taste like cod. And cold. Had a weird taste to it. My partner had a chicken burger . 2 hrs later both had dyreria and bad stomach cramps apart from that the owners are friendly.

Fair sized pub , with a good layout. Good selection of beers, and several big screen tv's for the sports fans. Not too loud so you can still have a quiet pint or a chat without shouting.

I have eaten in many places in Medway and I can honestly say the food served at the Poachers is of a standard not met by many local establishments. No long queues and a very good and affordable menu. The burgers are especially good 👍

I have been coming here for many years and have generally enjoyed the experience. Of late however the food and service for such has become atrocious! Today I had chicken that was hot in part and ice cold in others, in short a recipe for food poisoning. I raised this with the manager's son Scott, who I understand is part of the management team. He wasn't particularly bothered and offered no apology. It is the last time I will ever eat or drink here, but for you, eat here at your peril!!!

Staff behind bar good but I had a query about my meal and it wasn't dealt with very nicely or to my satisfaction. I have been to another hungry horse and the same meal came with the stated 2 pieces of chicken breast. This one however, did not. They tried to explain it away by saying it was a bigger chicken breast this time. Sadly won't be returning here as they didn't seem bothered that I wasn't satisfied with their explanation and did nothing to rectify it.

Wow - what can I say! Amazing service and support by all the staff - completely supported quite a large size party at such short notice and made sure that nothing (including an extra seat!) was any trouble.. food was fantastic and everything very reasonably priced; even one of party, from the Isle of Wight, said he wished there were more pubs and staff like this on the island! Thankyou Poachers for everything you did on my wife birthday and hope you enjoyed the ‘spare’ birthday cake 👍

My wife and I went to the Poaches Pocket for an evening meal on a Thursday. The place was busy, but not packed, which gave a nice atmosphere. The staff made time for us, making us feel welcome and comfortable. The booth we had was comfortable and gave us some privacy. We used the App to ordrr and the food and drink was delivered very efficiently, we had burgers which were very tasty and the desserts were delicious. We will certainly be popping back again.

Arrived in the evening, and although very busy, staff managed to accommodate the 4 of us. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the bar service was excellent. Our meals arrived quickly and were cooked to perfection. The steaks were tender and full of flavour, cooked just as we asked. Will definitely recommend it to friends.

Came last night for a meal food was amazing and served quick. Staff both behind the bar and waiting were helpful and friendly serving with smiles on their faces. There were signs as we came in to tell us about registering our car to avoid a fine. Will definitely be coming back!

First time here for a long time and I had clearly forgotten how nice of a place this is! Staff are great and food is really good. Well priced and definitely worth of another visit soon!
