I stopped off at this pub for lunch with my friends, and cannot rate it highly enough. Service was quick and friendly, especially from one of our servers, Megan, who was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose our meals. Food was very good, including the vegetarian options, one of which I had. The boss was also very friendly, and offered to me and my friends that we could park our motorbikes in front of a garage he owned on the premises to avoid them being knocked over! Overall, I cannot rate this pub highly enough!

Christmas Day dinner booking for 8 and what a waste of money! Food was still frozen in the middle (carrots and potatoes) potatoes were black in the middle, meat taste like road kill (cheap meat) Spoke with management after his staff were very rude and was confirmed our fresh food was indeed cooked from frozen and he wasn’t sure what I wanted him to do with 6 plates of full food sent back and 3 hungry children! We were missing our cauliflower cheese and wasn’t offered our teas and coffee that we had also paid for, Absolutely horrific and rude place avoid if you aren’t a local or have have taste buds! Still paid our full bill of £255 but we will not be returning!

Another no-nonsense Greene King offering the reassuringly nostalgic diorama of a turn of the century council estate boozer. Frequented by a chipper if not a little tempestuous selection of the Medway town’s finest. the beers are reasonably priced and there is solid line up of good value pub classic foods. Looking for a mirror in the gents bathroom to adjust your slicked back Friday night barnet? Think again good sir. No doubt knocked off in a fit of Artois fuelled angst. I’m sure this place has seen some decent tear ups over the years.

The quality of the food and serving is very good. It was a good experience for me. I love it. The staff of the oak is very good and polite, helpful.

Fabulous friendly service and THE BEST nachos I've ever eaten. Comfy chairs, good prices, quick service and food delivery, clean loos, parking and a play area! Only downside was the loud and rowdy side of the bar when we had a little one with us.

Myself and my daughter made a last minute decision and went in for lunch. We sat in the garden and ordered from the bar. The lady who served us was very nice and very helpful. We decided to order my husband a burger to go (we felt guilty we had left him at home fitting bathroom panels in 28° heat) i ordered at the bar and a man brought it out to us in a sealed bag with Enjoy and a smiley face drawn on it. When we got home my husband was very grateful for the food but even more grateful for the gift of a cold bottle of Sol. What a nice thing to do - thank you very much 😊 also the burgers were amazing!

Hadnt been there for ages following incredibly poor service and food. But heard that it was now under new management so went back to see if things had improved. Have to say, it had, very good service, attentive staff, and for us "seniors " excellent value..

Went for first time recently. Was very impressed. Food was good but the staff were lovely. Really made our visit perfect

The Sunday roast was the worst we have ever has. The mashed potatoes were like putty and the roast potatoes were not cooked. The Vegetables were overcooked. Others in our party had various meals which were nice and large portions. Would eat there again but not have the Sunday roast.

The Oak is absolutely superb for a great meal, very friendly staff and I cannot fault any aspects of the place. I have eaten there on many occasions and today I went with my family for the Xmas meal which was as good as it gets. The Oak consistently provides first class food and service. The portions were incredible, lovely and hot and very tasty. I can't recommend The Oak highly enough. Well done to Jackie, Mark and all the staff. Paul

We had a very nice Xmas meal here. There was lots of food on the plate and the price was very good. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all the staff that are working hard to keep their customers happy

The Oak is a place where everyone is welcome. My drink is fresh orange juice and soda. My service was quick and when I was too down they still gave excellent customer service. Christmas is dormant is my village. The Oak is the beacon of hope we all need with the lights in the window. The sports are on all the time for the sports lovers out there. Plus the place is warm so if you need some comfort this is the place. The food I have not tried as such. Create own burger will be an adventure for an other time. I have tried the chocolate cake and ice cream. It was yummy. I was walking on the laptop at the time show I could not enjoy it as much as I would like. They have free WiFi and going there is cheaper than a hot chocolate. They have got plugs. There is a beer garden out the back where there is a lot of picnic tables to enjoy the sun .

Visited lunchtime on 4th Nov23. Superb stop off on our way to Whitstable from Surrey. We found it courtesy of a Google search on-route and it was well worth the minor detour. The staff were brilliant, so friendly, both at the bar and serving; our meals were served quickly, were very tasty, very reasonably priced and with generous portions. 5 🌟. Well done all at The Oak

Great place, good selection of beers ales and spirts, reasonable price food menu, friendly helpful staff. Worth visiting and I will be visiting again.

For a Sunday night, it was reasonably busy. We arrived at the same time as a few other parties. Professional and friendly staff were really attentive and all parties were served quite quickly. The food came out in good time, hot and tasty. Very well priced and good atmosphere.

I would like to thank Mark and Jacci and the team for an excellent meal and service on our recent visit. As always the experience was excellent and food lovely.

My gravy was freezing cold and paying 47.99 for a Christmas dinner also had no cauliflower cheese the waitress where very rude walking away as we was talking to them said they would get the manager to come over to apologies but no manager showed up. I’m not very happy with the serviced I received especially on Christmas Day!!

Big group of us today for a works do, and we all had a great time. Food was good we had starters,mains and pudding all was really nice, came out all together which for a big group was good, didn't have to wait long, even better. The staff were great, was there straight away on drinks and checking our food was ok and clearing plates. Would definitely eat here again.

On Monday the local community litter group once again met here for lunch. It was a large group booking of 26, the staff were very accommodating & the food was excellent. They kindly gave us an area to the side of the bar so that we could all be together. Food was lovely, very reasonably priced, good service, perfect location and everyone had a lovely time.

This pub has a gorgeous atmosphere, gorgeous for the location. Really brings the locals together. Staff have a lovely attitude as well!

I took my elderly mother who enjoyed her visit (no complaints for a change) to The Oak or Sherwood Oak as it was once called. It’s a very cosy pub, very friendly, great food, caring and willing to help service. I wish this could be my local! Will come again when I’m next in the area!

Amazing service very friendly staff, not like any other. Especially that new girl, Abbie, best service I’ve received in my time visiting that pub. Simply outstanding.
