What
a
fantastic
place.
There
is
a
whole
heap
of
stuff
to
look
at.
Several
interesting
museums
with
various
naval
related
items
including
a
hug
shed
housing
lifeboats,
mines,
tanks,
a
rocket...
the
list
goes
on.
The
architecture
is
breath
taking,
including
the
car
park!
Especially
when
you
realize
how
old
it
all
is.
The
dry
docks
are
pretty
awe
inspiring
in
scale.
There
is
a
great
audio
visual
tour
explaining
how
wooden
ships
were
made.
They
clearly
knew
there
stuff,
although
this
is
hardly
surprising
given
this
is
where
HMS
Victory
was
built.
You
can
tour
a
submarine,
a
battleship
and
a
sail
ship.
All
amazingly
preserved
and
then
visit
the
ropery
which
I
believe
was
the
longest
brick
built
structure
in
Europe
when
completed.
There
is
loads
to
do
for
all
ages.
There
is
a
lot
of
walking
but
nearly
everywhere
is
accessible
with
lifts
to
most
of
the
higher
places
and
excellent
pathways.
There
is
a
small
cafe
(it's
pricey
but
no
more
than
anyone
else).
They
sell
sausage
rolls,
sandwiches
cakes
etc
and
there
is
a
small
play
area
for
the
kids
while
you
eat.
It
also
happens
to
be
in
a
railway
shed
with
working
steam
locomotives
which
was
pretty
good
too.
While
we
were
there
the
locomotives
were
moving
backwards
and
forwards
for
extra
theatre.
I
would
recommend
everybody
see
this
place
at
least
once.
Absolutely
amazing.
