My husband and I lucked up on Lois's while visiting Chattanooga. Ms Lois is an exceptional woman of God! Not only is the food wonderful her prayers are POWERFUL! She prays with us when we arrive and before we leave for our journey back to Blount County. I highly recommend if you are in or visiting Chattanooga TN you WILL BE VERY SATISFIED 😊

This was an absolutely delicious meal!! The collard greens, corn bread, chicken and dressing and the Mac and cheese was all ON POINT!! You purchase your drink by the bottle but it was fine for us!! We look forward to our next meal there!! Lois was very spiritual and friendly, and you could really tell that she loves what she is doing! The restaurant itself is not an upscale place at all but very comfortable and very clean. We truly enjoyed our meal!!

The best Soul Food place I've been too in Tennessee. The food is so delicious and it's worth the time and money .I drive from Georgia just to get some Chitterlings from here . Everything was delicious i even got me a neckbone plate too !

Stopped here on the way back home to Atlanta this place felt like home. Ms. Lois was very nice & sweet. The food was excellent & seasoned to perfection. I stopped for chittlins & I got jus that. Those were the best chittlins I've ever had. Once I left she gave me a God felt talk. It really felt like home. I'll definitely be visiting again.💉💉❤

I enjoyed my food was with my husband and myself. We wanted to try Tennessee soul food We ordered the Ham hock and cabbage and turnin greens. Chillerlings yams and cabbage Chop steak and macaroni and had cornbread with hot sauce and onion and tomato. I loved Ms. Lois a lot. She so sweet and her heart is so good. She prayed with us and I loved that so so much. I pray she gets many customers. Place is older but don’t judge the place . The cooking speaks for itself.

When I walked in I was a little shocked that it was not overflowing with people on a Sunday. That should’ve been the first indication that something was off. From the kitchen emerged the sweetest lady. She was Beyond friendly and very welcoming. We ordered neckbones, turnip greens, yams, and mac & cheese as well as baked chicken and turnip greens. The greens were good. The only corn muffin was good. The neckbones OK were dry as if they had been reheated in boiling water. Mac and cheese was watery and baked chicken was dry as if it had been reheated with cream of chicken soup poured on top of it. Yams were from the can. I was really disappointed and shocked because she has so many great reviews? It’s puzzling. Not sure what happened but today, was not a good day.

Person I bought food for adored the meal, plus location gave a large home cooked menu. Customer service is like talking with a lovely southern mother. A place that I encourage all to try, chitterling plates cleaned n cooked seemed by the best.

I absolutely love this place and the feeling that I get from talking to Ms. Lois is amazing. I'm reminded EXACTLY of home when I eat here. My favorites are the meat loaf and her chitterlings. Great Food and better Godly Fellowship

My husband and I were visiting from out of town. We selected this place because of the reviews. However upon arriving, we were greeted by a dark, smelly, dank place. I asked if I could use the bathroom and the owner and an elderly man (the only 2 there on a Sunday afternoon) stared at me like I was from another world. They pointed me to the bathroom and she explained that I would need to secure the door with the stool. This was the worse bathroom I ever encountered at a restaurant. Upon my return, my husband explained that they didn't take credit cards, which was all we had, so we left. I was glad I had a reason to leave, but fully prepared to leave without one. Kind lady. Maybe the food is good is the reason for the high reviews, because if you go by the inside of the building, you will run the other way.

We’ve lived in this area and have eaten at Louis countless times in the past several years, but recently have experienced horrible customer service. We’ve been twice in the past month to pick up. The first time was Mother’s Day. We called the day before to place our order. We got there and had no car hop come to our vehicle for the first 15 minutes after watching 5 cars beside us get their orders and leave. We waived to get someone’s attention thinking we had parked in the wrong spot and the car hop Doreen was standing to the side with no order and not helping another customer. My sister said “excuse me, we have an order to pick up when you get a chance.” She responded incredibly rude by saying, “I’m not helping you. Someone else will have to.” We then waited another 45 minutes before anyone brought our our order of sauce and salad only. The second experience was this afternoon. There was only one other car in the parking lot. Doreen was again our car hop. She asked for our order name. We gave first and last name. She went to look and came back to the car. She responded with, “there is no order for that name.” She went back to look again and came back and repeated the name I had told her, “that’s not the name I was told but alright.” We love Lois but are incredibly displeased with the the customer service we have received within the past few weeks.

OMG ! I ALMOST PASSED OUT BECAUSE OF THE SMELL UPON ENTERING 😳. She to invest in an air purifiers or use some home remedies that foul odor . The customer should be smelling like chitterlings when they leave. Bad customer service Nobody knowledge customers to say anything.

It's been awhile but if you're a chittling fan, this place is off the hook. A bit pricey but Miss Lois sure can make 'em. Now I'm a Connecticut Yankee transplant since 1992 and these are the best .

A friend is a master at finding out of the way, hidden spots no one would ever see and I called for a Chattanooga recommendation and he said “Lois’ Restaurant “it doesn’t look like much but the food is great” and he was right! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone excellent as were the greens and everything. Trust the reviews and go see Ms. Lois. She’s the REAL THING!

Lois was so sweet and wonderful, and made us feel at home. The ox tail was delicious. 🖤 Everything was. We will be back when we come back through Chattanooga.

I LOVE Ms Lois, but I'm pretty sure the food I got was at least a day old, if not 2. The cabbage definitely had a sour taste that was not vinegar. 3 stars is only for Ms Lois. Anybody else would get 1.
