Wonderful, well maintained park! Restuarants and ice cream shop within walking distance. Paved path along riverfront, wide open green spaces, and plenty of seating throughout. We brought chalk, a kite, bubbles, and scooter and made it a day. We also enjoyed the splash pad and indoor carousel.

My absolute favorite park! I drive from Atlanta to come here when I can. It's a great escape, fun atmosphere, it's clean and spacious. Parking is great and very affordable, unlike parking in my area. (If I remember correctly, it's like $6 for 24hr parking). I can stay all day and downtown is just across the pedestrian bridge, with so much to do in walking distance. A great area to bring family, friends and pets !

Amazing park with lots of green space and beautiful water views. We had a lovely time here, there's so much to do and we were able to access the Walnut Street Bridge from there. It was such a lovely family day at the park during our visit to Chattanooga.

Great spot for walking and biking. Great shops, water fountain, and a carousel on the other side of the bridge and the museum and art district at one end. Nice place to walk around and let the kids play in the fountain or ride the carousel.

Walked the bridge to this park to see the views and tue blue rhino! Nice park to relax, have a picnic or start a work out. River access is available for kayaks as well.

Great if you get there first thing in the morning. Extremely crowded after 10:00 am because it’s a good place to cool off for free.

Coolidge Park in Chattanooga is an absolute gem! From its picturesque riverfront location to its vibrant green spaces, it offers a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. The beautifully restored carousel and interactive water fountain make it a hit with families. Whether you're strolling along the riverwalk or enjoying a picnic, kayaking or playing sports, this park is a must-visit. Highly recommended

Iconic Chattanooga park right along the Tennessee river. There are so many paths to wonder down and explore. I loved all the sculptures and the people were extremely friendly. The only reason for 4 stars was I surprised at the amount of trash. There wasn’t a lot, it was mostly floating along the shore.

We came here for a few hours on our trip to Chattanooga a few months ago. It’s an amazing park. The who thing lines the riverside, with views of downtown. It’s got vast fields for sports, tables, grilles, a splash pad area, trails, and an awesome indoor carousel. There’s also a bridge you can cross the river with a nice walk across. I highly recommend this park! It was very clean and well maintained and in a good part of town. Parking was a bit tight though!

This was a great place to visit. There was a lot of green space through out the park with plenty of things to explore in the area. There's a splash pad nearby that's close to a carousel that only costs $1 per person to ride. There's a pedestrian bridge that crosses the river and has an awesome view of the city. Near one of the parking areas there is a giant hill that the kids would slide down on card board boxes(have to see it, not as sketchy as it sounds lol). Just make sure you remember to pay to park. All in all this is an awesome place and it's definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful park for families as well as couples and individuals. Lots of things to do. Bird watching, kayaking, bicycling nature walk etc. Lots of places to take pictures. The fountains at the center of the park is a great spot for the kids to cool off. Restrooms and facilities are decent. Good restaurants in the vicinity too. Overall a great place to spend half a day (or more).

Nice to spend time with my family, it's a beautiful place. Lots of cops around so you feel pretty safe, I guess. That's good when you got the little ones with you...🌞

This park is amazing! The walking paths around the water and bridges go on forever. It is so well kept. There are just interesting little shops and areas that are little gems, like the area for chalk graffiti.

An interesting walkable campus with museums nearby. A walking bridge (formerly for vehicles). Try Rembrandt's for a coffee and sweet treat.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to the kind woman who let us pose with your dog (and took our pic!) Chattanooga is so beautiful and filled with free/cheap things to do with or without kiddos. The bridge, carousel, and fountains are usually our “go-to” if we can’t think of something to do but want to get out of the house and don’t want to spend a lot of money, but there are also so many other awesome places too.

Views from Coolidge park :) they have a water fountain for kids to run through with big statues that shoot water and big enough to ride! There’s also a carrousel that’s almost historic now lol but it’s an open park with a few thingss for the kids to play on :)

Pay parking lots but street parking is free on Sunday. Nice paved pathways for walking or running along the river. Lots of shades. Then there’s the pedestrian bridge to get to the other side.

What’s good? In contrast to the adjacent Renaissance Park, this park brings a little more action to the table with its carousel and interactive fountain. The kiddos (or adults!) can play (seasonal) directly in this fountain with its “open floor plan”. Lots of wide open green space available at this park. The park is split by the Walnut Street Bridge–creating a unique shady spot under the trusses (you can even sit on the lower trusses!) What’s bad? My only critique is that I saw no traditional playground for children. Overall, a great park–it’s the “central park” of Chattanooga.

Awesome place to spend the afternoon or kill time between other activities. Our kids rode scooters around the park and across the bridge! Will definitely go again on our next trip!

Was driving through Tennessee and decided to stop at a nearby park and I ended up here. It was such a lovely atmosphere. You could tell people genuinely loved coming there. Some were having picnics on the grass while others were taking a stroll or simply enjoying the view. I even got a to see an alligator turtle which I had never heard of prior. I ended up spending longer than intended but I’m so glad I did

I loved this park. We’re from out of town and stopped by here with the kids and they had a blast. My 3yo was riding his scooter all over. Such a beautiful place by the water, the carousel and the splash fountain. What more do you want?? 😁

Coolidge Park is clean with nice walking paths next to the river. I enjoyed a relaxing, pleasant walk here. They have plenty of greenspace and places to sit or have a picnic. This park is home to the antique, hand carved carousel and located near the Walnut Street Bridge. Coolidge Park is within walking distance to nearby local businesses and restaurants. I really appreciated the history I was able to learn about from the displays/artwork throughout the park.

Beautiful park nestled against the river! Great evening location for a after-dinner walk or just chillin. Might be a good place for an early romantic date walk! We were there in the evening and it was beautiful with the lights on the bridges. There was a concert across the river. The river itself was slowly meandering by. There's something peaceful about sitting on a bench and watching a river flow by. It's like life! You never know what you're going to see floating down the river. You never know what you're going to see floating through your life. (You can deposit a dollar in the box for that philosophical observation...) This would be a nice way to end the date night. Just have a wonderful dinner, some clumpies ice cream, and then a walk around the park. And for you old married folks like me still feels romantic to walk around holding hands! Well kept, lots of paths and sidewalks. Benches to sit on. The fountain area was turned off but I could tell it would be a lot of fun for kids on a hot day.

Beautiful park with plenty of areas to walk with your dog, fountains, trails, river side picnic tables and charcoal grills, paid parking is plentiful but there are a handful of free 2 hour spots under the bridge. EV charging is available at the lot near the theater
