We had been going to their competitor at Hamilton place for several years, but the quality there massively declined. My son really wanted Chinese buffet and when looking up what was available locally, buffet King popped up in Hixson. It's a little bit further drive than normal for us but we decided to give it a go since we did not want to go back to FS again. Boy am I glad we did! The atmosphere is definitely not posh like the other restaurant, but when I'm going to get Chinese food at a buffet that's not what I'm looking for. The food was fantastic, the selection great, and the wait staff really made our visit wonderful. I would describe the atmosphere as a hometown restaurant where everybody knows each other. I really enjoyed that. They have the absolute coldest soft serve I have ever gotten. The stuff did not melt in the cone the entire time any of us were eating it. And of course it becomes instant brain freeze if you eat too much at a time! The prices were reasonable given the quantity and quality of food that you get. We will definitely make this be our norm Chinese buffet in the future. Have a look at my picture of the menu board, as it has current pricing as of this review.

The food is really good, as are the prices. The first time we came was on a Saturday afternoon and the food and atmosphere was wonderful. The last time we came was on a Tuesday afternoon and the food could have been hotter, the hostess/cashier was very rude and I felt like I was in a hospital cafeteria, as all of the patrons were coughing, sniffling, using walkers, canes and wheelchairs. The only exception to that was the drug addict family beside us who had on their pajamas. We will eat here again, but hope for better dining partners.

We have been eating at Buffet King ever since they opened. It was great until recently. Fried Chicken cold, vegetables cold, reheated rice, Sushi was awful. Food prices went way up…Food quality went way down. We will be looking for another Oriental Restaurant.

Our company holds a get together every Christmas day for folks who do not have anything to do on Christmas. We have lunch and play a for fun free poker game. This was our 4th Christmas spending it at Buffet King. We brought a group of 18 and everyone ate spending over $400. We play cards after our group eats and tips very well. Last year I tipped $50 just on our tab bc as a former server I know how important table turn over is for the server income. We were in the back room and they had plenty of tables available but ran us out before our group could finish playing. We were not being a problem or eating again. They were not busy when they asked us to leave with numerous empty tables . The management was rude the whole time not only will our group not be back but our family will no longer dine here. They do not appreciate our business.

Rudest female hostess I've ever had the displeasure of even speaking with, she's snappy and not the least bit courteous. The young man hosting is great. Waitresses are great and some are even friendly. Food was hot and flavorful. People of all ages there. Large variety of foods.

Everything about this location is absolutely amazing! I had my Birthday lunch here with my wife yesterday! We eat at several different places like this pretty often, I have a special diet so finding food out and about at a decent price can be a challenge to say the least. Everything about this location is great though, every employee that you connect eye contact with smiles right back and treats you my great respect! The FOOD is 200% better than any Buffet in Tennessee, hands down!!! Hope this helps someone!

I have eaten here since the day they opened in the late 90's, and the food is always good and the variety excellent. Consistently the best food in town

Thank heavens this great place survived COVID. It is amazing! So many choices, such good value for the money, everything is fresh and constantly replenished. There's Mongolian barbecue that's fresh and outstanding, great desserts, creative Chinese dishes, salad and fruit and soft serve ice cream. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Truly a gem.

The food was perfect it was hot and also very fresh had been not sitting under heat lamp was very soft even the fried shrimp and fried fish we're not hard crispy like every other place they were actually soft very tender food service everything was awesome give them full as many stars as I can give them complete dining experience and it cost me $24 for two people to eat lunch so that is just amazing I can't even buy fast food for that I will be back!!!

We always come here to eat . But the lady who sits people ( the Chinese one) rude ! She came to out take and said what time are we leaving we been here for about 1 hour a party of 10 . That they need the seats and that we had been here pass 2 hours already.. we come after church always, this is the second time we been told this and she was very rude . I was telling here we got here at 3 she said no … they need new host cause she has always been rude ..
