It looks awesome in the pics but is poorly maintained(only speaking of the pump track area) and barley has anything to pump. Drove 1.5 hours to here for NOTHING. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great hike and good workout. It's a shared biking and hiking trail but only encountered a few bikers. We love hiking with water views and there was only a small creek at the bottom of the trail. Says it is 3.3 miles but somehow we hiked 4 miles. Look for the miniature fairy village along the way.

I hiked here in the dark and only got lost for an hour so that's gotta say something good about it, right? Great views of Chattanooga.

This is the 3rd trailhead we've tried to use at Stringer's Ridge. Both of the West trailheads are closed DESPITE what Google says. This one is a much better location and parking anyway. There are even restrooms at the beginning of this trailhead. Will definitely use this one again!!!

Good workout and great views! Was muddy when I went but I had on boots so it was fine. Trail signs were a little confusing since some just took you to residential areas but lots of other hikers on there and has bathrooms and tables at the trail start.

Great parking lot to start your hike on Stringers Ridge. Bathrooms available. Two picnic tables. Two grills.

Travelled there for the BMX Pump Track and it was not maintained. The track was a bit of a mess.

The pump track is garbage. Went by today and it is basically a poorly kept dirt path. They built it and apparently forgot it.

It is so nice to have a trail in the forest right downtown. Good parking. Flush toilets and sinks. A true Chattanooga gem.

I went here with my longboard expecting to life a fun pump track and then it's dirt. It needs to be paved.

Fun single track mtn biking only a few minutes from downtown! Prepare to be in the lowest gear you have for basically the entire ride because you're either climbing or rocketing downhill. Such a great ride!

Great place to walk, run or bike & you can bring along your best friend (dogs) nice place for a picnic atop hill at spears entrance & views are amazing, I like the different terrains as well. It's a good way to enjoy working out if you like being outdoors.

Great mixed use trail system in the heart of the city. Good views of downtown, especially from the overlook. Haven't used the pump track yet. Toilets available at Spears Ave trailhead. Be sure to watch for directionality on the blue trail- you can go clockwise on some days and counterclockwise on others. It is frequented by mountain bikers and features blind hills and sharp turns. The purpose is to be sure the hikers are going against biker traffic. Listen for cyclists, especially if you have dogs or children on the blue trail. The other trails are nice, no worries about bikes, and there are at least 2 ruined cabins along the trails. A few wild blackberries can be picked near the westernmost cabin in late June and early July.

Challenging tails for both hiking, running and bike. Restroom at start of trails. Good trails, clear of brush, trees and vines. Bring your own water, hike and have fun. Trails do wind up mountain-side so expect a good work-out. Trails are forest shaded, still warm in early September but not hot.
