I wish I could eat here EVERY DAY! This Diner is truly a DIAMOND in the ROUGH!!! Staff service was extremely pleasant and polite! We came her for breakfast after our stay at the Best Western it is connected to, was seated right away with no wait (it was 9:30am I believe). Their menu is HUGE & eternally enticing, and the prices are totally fine, not expensive as someone else in the reviews attempts to complain about. I chose the "Hobo's Banquet" - eggs, home fries, gravy, and a bagel. Filled me up completely, and tasted very delicious! We had no room for dessert but they had so much on display and on the menu, wish we could have had some room for it! One day I hope to stop by again sometime and enjoy their lunch and dinner meals!! ❤️

City cafe review It’s super busy right now at 7:15pm we put in our names and we’re told the wait is 20 minutes. For two people. Right away I notice that the waiting area is way too small. Twenty-five people are packed into a ten foot by 5 foot space. There are many cakes, pies and desserts on display in the cooler and all are beautifully decorated. Once we were seated, the waiter arrived within 5 minutes, which, in my opinion, is very good considering how busy it is. We ordered immediately. By 8pm we were brought a basket of warm restaurant made hollow bread which I found delicious. I ordered a bowl of Seafood Bisque. It was piled with seafood, very hot but for my taste just a little bit too salty. My Husband ordered Gyro platter and claimed he is pleasantly surprised except for the stuffed grape leaf which he wasn’t impressed with. The ambiance was toned down, not too loud even though the restaurant is full. I recommend that anyone on the fence about trying this restaurant go ahead and give it a try but just be aware the the prices are steep for a budget. Waiter is very friendly.

City Cafe Diner is the only restaurant on this planet that serves their specialty Million Dollar cakes by the slices. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. They are famous for their unlimited flavors of signature cheesecakes made fresh every day.

The food was great the dish I ordered was enough for two people, which I loved. The steak was just how I liked it,and the shrimp tasted so fresh. I will definitely be returning, I found this place while working out of town. Don't let the location fool you

Highly recommend. We stopped in today after leaving another restaurant due to not being acknowledged at all. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a loud WELCOME! Already better than the last place! We placed our order and when they called us to pick up, Jason told my husband "Thank you for coming in, we really appreciate it. I will be out to check on you soon". And true to his word, he came out to check on us. The food was just as great as the service. I had the ribs and hubby had the 1/2 chicken. Both were very good. We are both very particular about BBQ sauce as well and we loved their house sauce. As we were leaving, Jason thanked us again! Even if the food hadn't been up to par, I would have rated them a 5 for the customer service. You rarely see this anymore.

Owner is awesome, food is great, beer selection was wide. First time visit, recommend adding wings to your order for $3, they're particularly awesome. Very happy Texan.

From the street, this place doesn't look like much, but once inside, the atmosphere comes to life. My server Chris was kind and helpful. He was attentive and recommended the fajitas. The chicken in the fajitas were tender, and the veggies they were cooked with made for an overall delightful dish. The desert menue at this place is large, and there were a variety of options, including some gluten-free deserts. The tiramisu was delicious. Soft and creamy. Sweet but not overbearing. This place made me feel like a friend and not just a customer. I would 100% come back here with my family and friends.

Had quite the variety of food here so I think I can speak for the quality. The half chicken was good eats. Moist and flavorful. The ribs were a little dry, but that may be we had the last 4 ribs of the day. Pulled pork was tender and filled a sandwich. Baked beans had great flavor. Collard greens were good but were not even warm. They have a hint of vinegar on them and slightly sweet. The cole slaw - um, no! Just don’t.

I haven’t stopped dreaming of/craving this place since we are there! The pulled pork sandwich was heavenly. Amazing slaw. The baked beans were the best I’ve ever had. And to top it off, the apple cobbler and banana pudding were insanely good. We live and hour and a half away and I want to visit again just for this. Also the service great and everyone was so kind!

I had the beef brisket (mondays only) with Disco grits and greens. It. Was. Amazing. The slaw was more like a pickled cabbage but tastes great. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender and tasted great especially paired with the sauce. Lastly the grits were some of the best tasting I've ever had. Next trip I make to Chattanooga this place will definitely be on my list to stop at.

This place is of the chain!! Officially on my top 5 list of BEST BBQ joins around. It's a very laid back chill place for family or a night out with friends. I really dig the vibe of the whole place. Infact If I hadent seen the other locations I wouldn't have believed that it wasn't a stand-alone. The staff working we're awesome, very friendly and accommodating. And as the make would suggest, the spices textures, main dishes, side dishes, desserts, drinks are all very Original. The best way to sum there food up is that they have the same great food and flavors that any great BBQ joint should have but Moe's BBQ recipes taste better and way more Original than any other BBQ joint around! I would highly recommend anything on there menu. On top of all that the value it's incredible. I fed my wife, daughter and I all for about $25(I would have happily payed $45 for the same meal). In short this place is a must go if your in the area. It will be well with the visit!

This was my first visit and I was very pleased, I went with my family and we all had something different. My 9yr old had the chicken tenders, she thought they were very good, "not as good as the ones from olive garden but still good" she said. My wife and I had the ribs and pulled pork, the ribs were meaty and juicy, they had a nice smoke ring, and a good taste, the pulled pork was good also. You don't get a variety of sauce choices here, they only serve one, I wish it were a bit bolder with a touch of bite, but over all it is a decent sauce.they are generous with side portions and the baked beans and potato salad are very good. I would recommend this place, and I plan on going back again.

The cashier was awesomely helpful, friendly and cheerful. The smell when walking into the restaurant was amazing! The place was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming. But the tables sit too low to the benches, the marinated slaw was depressing and overpowered with celery seed, the cornbread was the worst we've ever had and was burned, the potato salad was bland, the broccoli casserole was pretty good but could have used more cheese. The white sauce wasn't good, all that we could taste was the apple cider vinegar in it. $15.50 for the large 6 rib platter is a waste of money with the sides offered. Was surprised to see a lady sitting in the restaurant at the bar with a puppy eating scraps off the floor. Definitely not a service animal based on its behavior. Was excited to try this place out but definitely not impressed and we wont go back.

It was my 1st time ever eating there and I loved it so much! Unfortunately my body only allows very small amounts of food due to a medical condition. But what I did eat was great. Black beans over rice covered in queso cheese. Then a large freshly made chicken chimichunga and some other goodies. I definitely will come back.

It used to be my favorite place until covid then they went down hill. It seems to get worse every time we try again but tonight MY food was delicious! Nothing wrong. My SON'S food, however, was not so good. He got a loaded baked potato as a side and low and behold it was rotten from the inside out. I gave 3 stars because mine was good and the Reston his food was ok. The potato had him stop eating and leave. They were gracious enough to take the potato off the bill but charged for the rest of the plate and discounted our entire ticket 25% so I am not too upset, however this is very likely I the last chance you had City Cafe. We will not be back.

I got the sea food combination. Generous portions. I had enough for 2 full meals and I'm a big 6'4" 275lbs dude! Large salad came with meal. Food was very good. Others at the table liked what they had also. Place was busy as hell but service was quick, professional, and polite.

Stayed in Chattanooga for the night and a friend recommended city cafe diner. We only had dessert and. I have to say there peanut butter blast cake was the best peanut butter cake I've ever had. The portion was huge definitely worth the money. My wife got the strawberry cheese cake and she says the same would. definitely recommend the city diner.

We had a quick stop. Overall it is a pleasant atmosphere, very busy place since it’s attached to the hotel. Food was good, nothing really over the top. Server was very nice but didn’t check on us much since she was visibly busy. Overall I would return for the food but certainly nothing super notable.

Stopped at City Cafe Diner and ordered dinner to go. Due to the popularity of this restaurant they could use a larger location. We took out food back to the hotel and everyone was impressed by how good the taste. The restaurant has a lot a reviews and I can see why all the need now is bigger space. Real Score 4.5

Great food served really quickly. I had a plain hamburger. They have all kinds of fancy burgers but just the regular one is best I think. One criticism is the fries. There was a really good portion but it was those fancy flavored fries. Just plain fries for me please.

My kind of dining room! Soft comfy booths with privacy walls so they are cozy. Staff meets expectations on a professional level but can't be bothered with the pleasentries that make a dining experience warm and inviting. Surprising since it's attached to a hotel and truck stop and charges a higher than average price for food. I've found a more friendly and affordable option down the road.

This place is amazing. It's like they took a NYC or Jersey Diner and dropped it in Tennessee. (I'm originally from Jersey and I love diners.) Huge menu, great diner food, and the cakes are amazing. They have over 3 dozen cakes, pies, cheesecake, etc. And they are all really good. The last time we went we decided to just get cake because we normally are too full for dessert. We ordered 4 slices to share; which were huge. All really good. The chocolate cake (7 sins cake) was one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever had and it was the least favorite of all the cakes for my family.

We've been in chattanooga for a few days. This has by far been the best breakfast and maybe even food period. That we have gotten. Very reasonably priced. Food in Photo was $18.35 total. With water and orange juice. We spent $40 the other morning "F wake"and it wasn't nearly as good and we got way more food here. To be totally honest, when we pulled into parking lot "city cafe diner" I told her to choose another spot. Don't let the location fool you. I'm so glad I told her nevermind and lets try this place. Friendly staff also. We will probably try a lunch or supper here tonight before we leave in morning. 😁

There are vintage bicycles and their parts. There are displays of dangling coffee mugs and a few vinyl "LP" records. There is a nice little mix of quaint seating areas. The service is very good. There is a reservable space for groups and revolving HDTV images stolen from someone's Pinterest "saves". There are NOT enough electrical outlets, a pet peeve of mine, but there are some when you don't have to compete with other guests for them.

Great catfish. Great smoked chicken. Excellent wings first time I tried them. Way undercooked wings when I went there last month. Nice smoky flavor but not sufficiently cooked and not crispy at all. I need to be clearer when ordering I guess. Follow up 1/2/20 - Went back, was clear in ordering and specifying extra crispy wings, and today's results were excellent!!!

The young girl who runs the bar was friendly, but completely ignored me and my husband while she stood there and talked with her friends. Seems like she was DRUNK, is she even of age?? Maybe that’s how Moe’s runs its restaurants, but the one in Huntsville has better service. The restaurant needed to be cleaned and we wanted more food and drinks - however, she was more concerned with drinking and talking with her friends than doing work. Tasty food, hopefully the service gets better.

I was greeted by Caleb who took care of all my families needs and had great beer recommendations for me. The YeeHaw Dunkel complimented my meal great! Will return. Unfortunate to read other reviews that weren’t as kind. This place is a hidden gem in Chattanooga. I’ve lived here for 10+ years and hadn’t found a spot this good in a while!

The kind staff really make this place shine. Been visiting the 2 locations for decades. The selection is vast, and everything I have tried is very good: that is very rare. It feels like you are taking a trip to the 1930's whenever you go in, in a very good way. It's hard to believe the desert selection, even when you are standing in front of it. Love City Cafe Diner

Worthwhile stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Often busy but definitely worth the wait. Tons of options on their extensive menu. Greek, Italian, Mexican and stir fry. Awesome sandwiches and wraps with huge selection of homemade cakes and deserts. Tractor trailer/ RV parking at truckstop next door. City Cafe Diner never disappoints!! Alisha took great care of us as if we were eating at her family table. Seated quickly at 11:45 on a Sunday. Our brunch was served very fast after ordering. The food here is always great and the customer service is always a family feel. If you can't find something in their extensive menu that suits your taste, I suggest just eating a bologna sandwich at home. If nothing else, coming here for coffee and dessert is a must, if you can choose from all the yummy options! Thank you for being a slam dunk that never disappoints!!

The most vast menu I've EVER seen at a restaurant! Any kind of mood you're in with large servings ,they got it ! Ribs, scrambled eggs and bacon, fried cat fish and rice (see picture) were very good ! Was traveling thru the area late one evening and found this jewel that's open till one ! And I haven't even mentioned the best cakes and pastries this side of Tennessee! Just to clear it up , RESTAURANT IS LOCATED INSIDE THE HOTEL,swing by your stomach won't be disappointed!

Nom nom nom! Food was all good but the main event was the desserts. They get their own double side menu! We tried the million dollar cake as well as an eclair. For $8 a slice they don't skimp on the portion so really consider what you want to eat or be prepared to take the remainder to go. If you are a first at the Best Western you can get 10% off your tab (except dessert) everything was very good!

Love this place and the food is outstanding! We had chicken egg rolls, garden salad, spinach pie, chicken pot pie & canolli this time around! We stop here often in our travels from Florida to Michigan! Perfectly located right off the highway! Highly recommend 👌

I heard from the hotel clerk at Best Western that the restaurant inside the hotel was great (Jimmy). He was right. I got the Taste of Milan. Chicken parmecian, alfredo pasta, lasagna, and garlic bread. Quantity is huge. Everything was delicious. The soup that came with the meal was incredible. Chunks of delicious seafood in every bite. I couldn't finish the Milan dish so i took the rest to go. Service was excellent. The young man that served me had a presence in him that put me at ease. Very bright future ahead of him. Overall, a great dining experience. As a trucker, it's hard to find a decent meal. I truly appreciated the great food and the service. Would love to come back if i'm ever in the area again. Update: Ordered a pickup today. Ordered an additional eclair and a small cylindrical pastry when i got up to the register to pay. When the girl realized i didn't tip her with my card, she hastily sort of flicked my receipt on the counter without a word and helped someone else without giving me my pastries because i didn't tip her for handing me the food i ordered. Truth is, i was going to tip her $5 in cash anyways until she indirectly showed attitude and didn't give me my pastries. Anyone can be nice when they are happy. You can truly tell what a person is truly like when they get stressed. Throwing a hissy fit to customers doesn't benefit anyone. The cylindrical pastry was decent, but the eclair was a bit repulsive. It was big, but the cream inside tasted plain and smelled of eggs. 5 star service for the young man that served me yesterday. 0 stars for the short girl that handed me my food today.

Our server Jon was the best! Super nice young man, very patient and attentive. He deserves a shout out from management, they are lucky to have him. Thanks to all for a wonderful dinner.

I went here for lunch and when the waitress brought me the menu I was surprised how many options that was on the menu. If you can’t find something there you like I’ll be surprised. I can’t wait yo go back so many choices. I was skeptical at first being a little Cafe attached to a hotel. The food was very good. The waitress was friendly and I got my food pretty quick. You won’t be disappointed coming here. I definitely will be going back here.

Tried THE CITY CAFE @ 7641 Lee Hwy. My server Paola was great. Seated quickly parking was a bear. Ordered Hobo Banquet only I wanted it deconstructed. No problem. Large portions great taste and even have Greek food too. The dessert menu OMG. so many cakes and pies thought I was at Tippins.

The food was ok. Kinda left our stomachs upset throughout the day. The service was decent. The second time around, our server didn't really give us time to "enjoy" our food. We probably wouldn't be back. It's a decent eat for a decent price.

So.. I found this place on Google. It had very decent reviews. We always try new spots and not stick to the big brands everyone knows. So why not... well I am not gonna lie.. when we pulled up. Oh it did not look good. It was attached to a best Western hotel. We was like wth!!!!. Lmao. Like this must be a mistake. But sure enough there it was. So we were not expecting nothing good at all..so we go in. The sitting area was kind of small..Mayne about 15 tables/ booths. We sat down and they gave us menus. Now I must say they had a very huge selection and variety on the menu.. for breakfast lunch and dinner. From stir fry to seafood boil. I was impressed with the menu. But we haven't tsted anything yet. So we still don't know. So we go ahead and order. Alot of the times the drinks set the tone. I had sweat tea 2ic had uptown( Arnold palmer).. amd it was on point. Then the food came. Just the portions alone.. very generous. Pancakes were good. Matter of fact al the food we had was good. This was definitely a wonderful surprise.. amd never judge a book by its cover. This is a must try.. if you in the area or passing through. Now the parking sucks.. but the food itself was good!!

Super fun diner! Their menu is ridiculously big so they have something for everyone. I think I heard they have something like over 400 things to choose from. Their dessert options are incredible.

Great food. Excellent breakfast. Food is super fresh. Everything is made to order. Everything you could want; Mexican, Italian, American, and everything in between. Huge portions. More than enough to share or have leftovers.

An easy 5 star rating restaurant. My wife and I saw this on Tennessee Crossroads and added it to our TC places to go. It absolutely did not disappoint. The atmosphere has a 70's style cafe vibe, the 70's -80's - 90's music of different genres they were playing brought back some nostalgic life moments, all without being too overbearing / loud. The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. The menu is very extensive, with options varying from southern, Italian, and mexican fare. There is easily something for everyone with portions being very generous. Then, when you are about to explode from being full, they hand you a ridiculous menu featuring all the cakes, cheescakes, and other dessert options they do. Insane! We plan on going back every time we stay in Chatanooga. Highly recommended.

i’ve never written a review before but this place is by far one of the best i’ve been to. their menu had every cuisine imaginable available 24/7. i got the greek combo platter for $20 and it came pouring off the plate. certainly enough for the whole family yet we all ordered separate dishes. this is definitely going to become a necessary stop whenever passing through chattanooga.
