My first time going to Nova, went for a drug test checked in at 9:30am and didn’t get seen until slightly after 12pm. The front staff and the back staff seemed friendly BUT very unorganized kinda learning as they were going. The waiting room overflowed several times while I was there. This company doesn’t accept appointments to take drug test to avoid the wait so I advise anyone that go to plan on NOT having anything else to do that day other then to wait ridiculously long at Nova. Very unorganized! Simple solution would be separate the patient getting seen by a doctor vs getting quick & simple test done!

Chattanooga location. If I could give less than 1 star I would. The "doctor" did absolutely nothing but ask me questions that were already on my paperwork. He didn't look at my hand that I had surgery on at all. He said he was going to feel my spine and ran 1 finger so lightly down the side of my back it gave me chills. The drug test went as usual. Pee in a cup, and fill out more paperwork. What I didn't expect was for them to throw the samples in a bin under the cabinet and not even test them there. As for the physical performance evaluation, my job does not require me to crawl around on my hands and knees under an exam table. It was beyond ridiculous. Let's not even talk about the 4 hour wait time, and not being able to make an appointment. The front end staff was beyond rude. At first they didn't even turn the lights or air on. It was dark and hot trying to do paperwork. People were crammed into the reception area. I got there before they opened and was there over 4 hours. There were people that came in when I did that were still in the waiting area when I left. Unfortunately, my job requires people to go here before returning to work from having surgery. They are getting ripped off. The "doctor" did nothing.

Every time I go there, it's at least a 2 and 1/2 hour wait. They need more staff. I should have been out of there in less than 20 minute for just having to pee in a cup. They need to prioritize like a triage unit and get the quicker jobs out the door to clear out the lobby

I was incredibly disappointed in this establishment. I used the Chattanooga location. The front desk staff were rude and demeaning. This business only takes walk in patients for new hire testing. That being said I waited over an hour in an empty office just to be called back. Staff was no adept at their job and after a total of two and a half hours I finally finished new hire testing. If they would just offer appointments that would be amazing, if their staff were more friendly to customers that would take the cake.

Took them 2 hours for them to give me a cup to pee in and took 3 tries to get my blood. Mind you I'm not a bad stick. I had to paplpate my own vein and show it where it is. I was ready to draw my own blood.

My trip to NOVA Medical was the WORST experience I've ever had. The "waiting room" (which you will be spending a LOT of time in) is a sparsely furnished, linoleum floored box with nothing but uncomfortable metal chairs in which to sit. You will enjoy ZERO human comforts during your VERY long wait! However, you will have the privilege of listening to a customer sitting 2 ft away, try to cough up their lung. When your name is finally called an hour later, you will be greeted with urine on the bathroom floors and a very curt, rushed and impolite medical staff before you are shuttled back out the door. I hope I'm clear here, this place has all the charm of a plasma donation center or blighted large city health department. Go somewhere elese if you are looking for a professional medical facility.

Go in for a simple drug test and wait almost and hour and forty minutes before I'm seen. After checking in at front desk and filling out all my information is was told to take a screenshot of the information sent by my work. Took and sent to email provided by the person at the desk and paperwork. Now it was a bit busy as people were coming in. But after waiting for an I asked why it was taking so long. To find out no one had even tried or looked for my email, telling me that they never received even though all my information on my side was correct. Funny how that works. Then another 25-30 minutes go by and finally my name gets called. I just understand how a signed in patient sitting in the same spot for well over an hour is normal to staff. The care shown in this facility is garbage. I would highly recommend using any other facility.

My experience at Nova Medical Centers has always been a pleasant one. The staff work as expeditiously as possible. They are very kind and courteous. And a special shout out to Nicholas Chitty. He stood out to me above everything on this last visit. He was awesome.

This is a walk in clinic, people need to remember first come first served. Been here twice would go back anytime. At least I was able to get my physical done in a timely manner. People here are always nice and informative and willing to help no matter the circumstance.Staff are well trained and know how to do their jobs. When people have to wait a little while they are to quick to give a bad score. Hats off to the crew at Nova.

This place is an absolute joke. Went for a pre-employment drug screen. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour while four individuals that came in after me were called back before me. While waiting that long I was graced with commentary from the most unprofessional medical staff I have ever seen, expletives, talking about patients in derogatory fashion, and that barely scratches the surface. Go anywhere but here, and if you're an employer with a contract with this company I would seriously consider changing providers.

The wait is horrible. They will make you leave and come back. The ladies have horrible attitudes, and the bathrooms is disgusting. Like pee is everywhere. All over the floor, all on the toilet, just nasty. Nasty place with nasty attitudes. Especially the lady upfront. She’s so impatient, and rude. They need new management or somebody need to shut it down.

Friendly staff but expect a LONG wait. I arrived about 45 minutes after opening thinking I would still be in and out. The lobby was already packed when I arrived, waited over a hour for a drug screen. Once in the back the process was pretty quick. Nice facility just expect a wait unless you plan on camping out lol.

Horrible experience!!!! Got here before the doors opened and didn’t get called back until 3 1/2 hours after getting here. Had to get a physical, drug test, and lift test & 5 1/2 HOURS later, WE ARE STILL HERE waiting for the doctor to do my lift test. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!! Who knows how much longer we will be here.

My company sent me here for a physical & drug screen before I start my new job. I called this business to ask if an appointment was required & was told no- that is a walk-in only clinic and the the hours of operation were 8:30-5:30. I took off work early one day, drove 1.5 hours round trip, and arrived to this business at 3:30. The receptionists informed me that the “doctor” was not taking any more appointments on that date. I was told that I could “try to come back tomorrow at 8:30, but there was no guarantee that the doctor would be here.” The receptionist was very nice and apologetic, but the experience was frustrating and inconvenient- a waste of time and gas. Takeaways: don’t show up here well before closing expecting to have any services performed. I would recommend taking an entire day of work to ensure you can actually have done what is needed. My employer is thankfully sending me to a different occupational medicine clinic.

I was the first one in the door when they opened and was about the 5th person called back after about an hour of waiting. I was called up to the check in desk about 5 times because they kept forgot some paperwork. It seemed unorganized and all of the doctors showed up at least 30 minutes-1 hour late.

A busy place so be prepared to wait. However, the staff was fantastic. Helpful, polite, and very professional. Won't go to another place to have my DOT physical done. Ever! Thanks Nova med.

I was there on 11/16 Thursday. I don’t remember the females name who was at the main desk. She was good at communicating the process and what to expect. She was very approachable and nice. The Doctor and nurses in back were efficient and professional. Great staff of people.

Clean and fast. 3rd time I’ve been here. And once I lost my DOT long form and we’re glad to provide it. Awsome. Thanks Nova

With this being a walk-in clinic and all employers in the Chattanooga area using them, the wait time is horrible. Be prepared to wait for more than 30 mins to possibly an hour but soon as you get back to do your test it takes less than 15 mins.

I read the reviews and thought I’d be waiting for forever. I got there for a drug test at about 10:45AM, filled out 3 pgs of paperwork & then I asked how long it would be before I was called back— the lady said she wasn’t sure, surprisingly, I was out by 11:25AM. The lobby was full when I arrived and there were people coming in so I thought I’d be waiting way longer.. but I’d still go early just to be safe. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they made me put my purse in a lock box while I went into the bathroom to take my drug test. When I came out, my purse was just sitting there around 5-6 people and the box was not closed or locked. Luckily, nothing was missing.

Staff needs more training and need to work on their customer service skills. I don't like returning for my results because they weren't printed off and put into a sealed envelope. Especially since the one that took my sample was waiting up front and I walked past them and they said goodbye.

Went here for a drug test, had to wait an hour which was fine. A week later I get my results from my prospective employer that let me know Nova Medical lost mine and three other employees urine samples, and I will have to retake at another facility. The experience taking the drug test was fine, but I just can’t believe they could lose not only one, but four samples.

They had a lot of tests ordered on me for pre-employment and they did a very good job. I had to wait a little bit to get registered and all, but the doctor was leaving shortly so they did their best to make sure I was seen and didn't have to wait for the doctor to return from lunch. They did not have one of the tests in stock (TB Quantiferon). So I was little bummed about that, but the way things are with the supply chain right now, I can't really blame anyone.

First in the lot, second in the building, would've been in and out pretty quick but unfortunately my paperwork got lost and 19 people went in front of me. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly, positive, and helpful!

The person who did my PPE was so kind and explained everything she was asking me to do and the person who assisted me prior to that was also wonderful and Dr. was really nice. Front desk staff was prompt and courteous.

Went in at 1:30 Didn’t leave until 4:45 This place is under staff. I only went in for a drug test. I gave them only two stars cause the staff was friendly and understandable. But the waiting was crazy indeed. Make sure you pack a lunch bag. But I did hear the staff mentioned that they open up early so if you get there in the AM you might get in and out quickly. GOOD LUCK

The people were great and the process was quick, but the wait was terrible. If I can offer one piece of advice, it would be not to go during lunchtime, because they will all go to lunch at once in the back and that hour will add to your wait time. I was there 2.5 hours for a simple ‘pee in a cup’ pre employment test. That’s why they lost a star. They were very pleasant people and the process was easy.

😠 Do not go to this hospital if you’re not a black patient, they are very racist. 🫤 For some reason they still have a mask policy. You would think medical professionals would understand that after 2+ years that masking is all for looks. 👍👍 I used to think of urgent care as a place to get a tetanus shot (which I’ve done here as well) but after several visits over the last year I consider this to be far better and more comprehensive than my primary care doctor.
