It's a nice place to visit. Lots of information and views. If you have a dog, you can only walk on the grounds but not go inside the buildings. I hated that they had a eagle and owl and I think a falcon or so sitting there all alone and bored on a tiny enclosure bound with a short leash. That's why I actually wouldn't visit again.

We spent a short visit in this place and everything was very interesting to us. Located nearby the heart of the city and very easy to find out. When you are in Cheb, this attraction should be added into your list.

It's not that expensive and totally worth it! There's discounts for seniors and students as well. (80 Kr for regular admission, 40 Kr Fr everyone else). You can go almost everywhere in the castle. The stairs in the tower are not wheelchair accessible, but you can get a great view of the city. I didn't see any toilets, which was kind of a bummer, but the castle probably didn't have indoor plumbing!

Interesting tour of ancient castle / citadel, great views from the Black Tower.

It is a nice castle to visit but better if you speak czech or german as it is mainly in those two languages. The view from the tower is really nice and I wish there would have been one from the mill. Price is ok for what you get to visit. And we were lucky as most of the constructions were not affecting the visit.

There are owls and other wild animals inside and it's disgusting. They should be free, not living there on a perch. Had I known this, I wouldn't have paid the ticket to enter

This location was truly a gem to visit. Not knowing all of the history in Cheb, it was nice to go in and read the signs, and see the set up to their Hrad. The castle walls have stood the test of time.

Czech people get more historical contexts on the signs. Other than that great place to see absolutely recommend. Show your school ID for a discount of 50 czk.

The castle itself is under reconstruction which is great to preserve this historical memory. On the other hand there is not too many things to see, there are low number of original parts and materials. With kids a bit difficult to move within the walls. The surrounding is full of possibilities for sport and kids, do not miss them!

A most impressive medieval castle with a small but very interesting museum of armaments and war machines, Do not miss the mews where a few impressive birds (including a huge eagle owl) are kept.

The guide was very young yet knowledgeable and an amazing speaker, he put all the facts in a very fun way!

There‘re birds, which are chained. These birds don’t have even a possibility to scratch themselves. I find it impossible in a modern world.
