Before leaving Buffalo NY, I decided to grab a meal here to experience the notorious buffalo wings, for which the area is famous. Service was friendly and swift. Food was fresh and tasty. I noted for the server that I am a staunch fan of ranch dressing (and a hater of bleu cheese), so he brought me both dressings to try. Throughout the meal, I kept dipping my hot and juicy wings in what I thought was the ranch dressing — which turned out to be the bleu cheese! I was amazed by the tangy and creamy flavor that I’ve never tried elsewhere. If all wings and bleu cheese dressing could taste like theirs, the world would be a happier place, haha. I also asked for my buffalo sauce on the side, which they kindly accommodated. All in all, 100% recommend for the food and service.

Great place for breakfast. Prices are reasonable for airport food. Customer service is outstanding. Everyone made you feel welcome. Very clean and welcoming location.

To clarify, this is the airport location, not necessarily the original location in Buffalo. Having said that, we got 3 sets of wings: the medium, spicy, and Spicy BBQ. We also got fried pickles. The wings were the perfect amount of crispy, but the sauces were a bit disappointing in terms of flavor and spice. I will say the spicy BBQ was pretty good. The fried pickles were pretty good. I would give this place a 4/5 based on food quality, but it is pricier than other options (probably because of the airport location). Enjoyed it and wouldn't mind going back, but probably would seek other options out if given the choice.

The birthplace of Buffalo wings. Didn't disappoint. Some of the best wings I've ever had. The atmosphere was perfect! And the beer so cold!

Great place to lounge and have a quick bite. Good staff. The person who waited on us did a great job. Ordered hit chicken tenders and it was HOT! Enjoyed it. Will visit again.

Wings were cold, server messed my order up but overall the wings were decent for an airport restaurant. Definitely no Duff’s but I checked the obligatory wing stop while on a quick Buffalo drop in trip.

Me and a friend stopped in for a quick bite to eat while we were waiting on our flights. I had heard anchor bar was a must try place in Buffalo, however we did not have time during our trip. Happy surprise that the airport wings were just as great as we had heard! Along with the great wings was the even better service by Danny! He had such a great fun personality and made it an enjoyable and comedic lunch. Plus he showed us a list of top 10 restaurants and places to visit for our next visit! I usually don’t leave reviews for a restaurant but he deserves the recognition.

Fun to eat at an Anchor Bar even if it was in the airport. The wings were top notch- definitely better than any other airport wings I've had. Obviously there is a reason they are famous! The mozzarella sticks were good- but nothing unusual. The roast beef on weck, was simple but tasty. The weck bun has salt and caraway seeds on it. So good with horseradish and au jous. The Mac salad was different than Hawaiian, but it fit the meal perfectly. Our server was great and was very efficient and friendly.

You have to try the Buffalo wings from the Anchor Bar when you are going through the Buffalo airport. Hang a left when you get through security. I got friendly service and the blue cheese dressing goes great with the wings.

Chicken strips were definitely more nugget. Sauces decent, fries kinda cold. We had an onion ring have uncooked flour inside (or something). Our server, Chad, was great and offered to replace it but we didn't really need it. Ok for a bite but not exceptional food.

As the vacation coming to an end we completed all airport checkin task and headed to Anchor Bar The Original Buffalowing to fulfill our hunger. The service was very good and quick. Ordered hot & mild Buffalo wings along with hot Chicken tenders. All came out well cooked and tasty. The mionis sauce is very good. Hot sauce is not that sauce for people who can eat very hot (spicy). You won’t find more options other than chicken wings /tenders or burgers. Will definitely find more drinking options. Overall it was very good experience.

Decided to have breakfast here just because the Tim Horton's line was too long. I deeply regret my decision. I ordered a Bloody Mary and just got a bad Bloody Mary mix, I wasn't able to drink it. My husband ordered a coffee that was watered down, missing the coffee. They have a Buffalo chicken wing omelet (NOT RECOMMENDED) jammed packed with celery chunks which releases water, making it a very runny omelet. Also, watch out for the bones in it. My sausage omelet was bad as well. It was a powder egg mix with some weird-looking pieces of sausage and cheese. I included pictures of everything including my bill. Hope this helps everyone to make a better decision than the one I made.

My husband and I enjoyed the wings very much. We got two orders of hot wings and the heat on them were perfect. We loved them so much that we ordered one more but this time we got the wings dry with mild and suicide sauce to try and both were good the suicide could be spicier my husband thought and the mild was perfect for people who aren’t too big of a spice fan. The dry wings came out hot and crispy very good. Our server chad was great and attentive.

Would to have loved to eat here, but they did not want our money. They "closed" one side of the dining room and had no seat for a family of 3 or more to sit on the other side. We were just told the side was closed, yet they had other families sitting there eating. They could have cared less if we stayed or left and I am sure this review will be treated the same.

Frozen Chicken Tenders and Frozen Fries for 20 bucks. The way too much for that kind of food. No American Union Made Miller Lite. Go figure. You would think being in Union State NY YOU WOULD SALE UNION BEER. Also the Hamburger Meal is not on the menu so you have to ask. Daniel is an Excellent Server. He is the only reason I gave 3 stars otherwise I would have given you 1 star because there are no zero stars. I will not spend 20 bucks on frozen chicken tenders and french fries ever again. The menu does not tell you a lot of things. I will try the Hamburger looks pretty tasty. I do not recommend though.

Great food! Friendly neighborhood vibe. Our server not only was a great conversationalist, his menu suggestions were very helpful. Our Buffalo Wings and our Beef on Werk we're very tasty. Airport food at it's best!

We ate at the original Anchor Bar today and the wings were good not great. I have had better at our local off track wagering in PA. Service was good and the atmosphere is your typical touristy experience.

I couldn't help but stop for wings during my wait and they did not disappoint. But I would be remiss if I didn't call out the efforts of the morning shift. We were all greeted with a request for patience and an apology because they were short a host, a busser and I believe another server. The 3 people there really busted their butts making sure we were all served and they worked together as a phenomenal team. The owners should take note what a great job they did. It was really impressive. BTW, the wings and beer were great!

Very limited menu. I had soup, it was good. Very dissatisfied that we didn't know until receiving the bill that they do not accept cash, would have been good to know before being seated. Server was attentive.

Had the chicken salad which tasted like it had a frozen chicken patty on it. Sauce was good doe. Wings in my opinion are very over priced; but I was in an airport. The lettuce was just enough to cover plate. Definitely will over look this restaurant next go around.

It's not bad, it's not great either. Just because you were first to do something doesn't mean you the reigning champion title for the rest of your existence/expansion.

This is probably the best place to eat at the airport, but it’s not as good as the original Anchor Bar and the original is often accused of being “overrated” by locals. My wife and I arrived at the airport with an unexpected surplus of time to kill, so we tried this Anchor Bar location for the first time… Partly because we remember Marshawn Lynch saying in an interview that the best wings in Buffalo are at the airport. We figured he either hadn’t tried many wings anywhere else or was drunk enough at the airport that he would have loved ANY food he tried… BUT we decided to find out for ourselves, skeptical as we were. Long story short: the airport Anchor Bar does NOT have the best wings in Buffalo lol But they weren’t bad either! With the wings, we had a couple omelets (it was early). Everything was good. My wife ordered a veggie omelet and it came with bacon in it, which should inspire caution to vegetarian visitors, but we didn’t mind. The service was friendly enough otherwise. We may not feel particularly inspired to come back every time we visit the airport, but it was a good experience overall.

Despite growing up in Buffalo, I've never been to the Anchor Bar so before I left to go back to my new home, I stopped here and it was really good! Perfect sauce. I got medium.

Great service, above average wings. Good overall experience.

This place has an airport feel to it. The food is mediocre apart from the wings. The menu is very short. No fish dishes.

The wings were good. The rest of the food was ok. Drinks were good. Our server didn't take any dirty dishes away. So our table never got cleaned. The utensils were plastic.(I visited before pandemic spread) I guess that caring for the environment is not a priority. Overall not bad not great experience.

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but the quality of their wings has taken a nose dive. I used to love grabbing their wings in between flights in and out of BUF. The last 5 or 6 times, the wings were terrible. No where near the quality of past years. Waste of $18
