Food is excellent fresh and delicious one of our favorite places. Always top notch for sashimi

It's the worst sushi experience I've ever had, because it's like a big scam but you can't do anything about it. They stuffed their sushi with cheap cucumber and the fish part was hardly even visible. The $30 something sashimi combo was so little in portion that it's hardly enough for a cat's breakfast. In conclusion, we spent over $100 for those things, and it was hardly enough for one person, and I would mind less if it's some high end good quality sushi, but the quality was terrible. The people who gave high stars review here: I don't know what you're thinking, perhaps you just never had any slightly better sushi in your entire life.

Wish I could rate higher! Very authentic Japanese food, excellent service! The cooks are very good at what they do, and the restaurant is very clean. Go a little before 4pm for a nice quiet meal. Also the dragon roll was absolutely adorable!!!!! 🐉 🍣 My favorite by far.

The atmosphere here was fantastic, with solo piano music playing the background, nice decor, and not-too-bright lights. The service was great, the servers friendly and able to answer all the questions I had. And the food was fantastic. I'm not normally one to take pictures of my food, buy when it gets served to me with fire on my plate, how can I not?

The sushi was sub par and nothing noteworthy considering the price. The atmosphere is good but the waiters barely spoke any English and ordering wasn't very easy. We spend about 100$ for 4 people without considerable amount of food.

Very beautiful and full of culture! There should be more restaurants like this one. The staff were very nice and polite and the food was top notch! The food was prepared fairly quickly and was served with a great smile! I would give this place a 50 star rating if I could! Japanese culture is way more beautiful than my "American" culture. One of the best dinners I have had in a very long time! I am so happy we went here for our anniversary!! The sushi is amazing the staff was attentive the sushi was amazing the bathrooms were very clean the sushi was amazing the atmosphere was very relaxing and did I mention the sushi was amazing! They clearly made their own soy sauce in house, you expect this blast of saltiness from the soy sauce only to be met with a subtle flavor that does only one thing! Make the sushi better than it already was enhancing the flavor creating an almost heaven like experience in your mouth!!! I will be going here again and again!!!

I discovered this Japanese restaurant on a business trip. They have an outstanding selection of Sashimi and Sushi rolls. Service is excellent and quick. Some nights are very busy, and a reservation is recommended.

I have in the past ordered to go sushi rolls for my work lunches but have never dined in until this week - I will say I loved the atmosphere, the service, the dishes presentation, definitely felt a level of class. And I am a big fan of rice, I will say their fried rice is UP there that I could probably have done 2 plates of rice serving haha.

Delicious! I’ve ordered from here a few times and it’s become our new go-to for sushi. The rolls are interesting, the fish is fresh, and everything has been tasty. Can’t wait to return!

A lot of people think downtown sushi is the best in Buffalo…. But boyyyy are they wrong… Kumo is lowkey the best in Buffalo, and the hidden gem of the Target-Walmart-Walmart intersection. Good basics, and excellent specialty rolls (rec angry dragon roll). Also have hibachi and Japanese beers (rec Asahi Dry with sushi, Sapporo with hibachi). I grew up in the area and went to their grand opening. Crazy to see their rise. Expect a slight wait at dinner time, it’s a small location but lots of people want to eat there. You can always call ahead to see how it looks.

I was not happy, this was the 1st time that I was there. The general tso chicken tasted like fish, I'm guessing that it was from cross cooking. The chicken pad Thai, barely had any chicken and the vegetable Maki was a tad mushy, but the salad dressing was very good. Don't believe I will be going there again.

Fantastic options on sushi with tons to choose from. They have special daily made rolls and also their regular menu options. Absolutely give the spicy, tuna, avocado appetizer a try. They are crispy little bites that you and your table mates will be fighting over. They also have hibachi and regular dinners, but just a few. Not tons of seating, so if you don’t feel like waiting, come at an off time. We went at dinner time and we waited maybe five to ten minutes.

This is my favorite sushi place. I have some bias because it's very close to my home. I like to go out to eat on my own, and the staff at Jump have taken to me kindly lol. They remember me, and my favorite spot, the sushi bar ☺️.. The food is fresh, well prepared and tastes great! My new favorite roll is autumn of New York ☺️.

First time there - AWESOME food. This will be our go-to for sushi/sashimi. Took a menu for take out also. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend Kumo!

The food looks a lot better than it tastes. The presentation was great but the actual food was extremely, heavily, coated in sauces. The mayo ratio is HIGH. The fish didn't seem very fresh. In general, it was a pretty disappointing visit. Also, some of the rolls that don't mention wasabi have wasabi in them.

Cute Sushi restaurant in a small strip plaza close to my house. I usually go to Fuji Grill but wanted to try something different. This was 2 weeks ago, place is pretty small, restaurant is narrow but deep. Good vibrant crowd on a Friday night, dimly lit which gave it a romantic feel. Food was good, not amazing. but the atmosphere and service was great. Would give them another shot soon.

Was invited here by my niece who has gone here several times and she wanted me to try it. I'm glad I did. The staff was friendly and service, atmosphere and food was great. I tried the dumpling deep fried spicy tuna appetizer, crab love sweet potato, and my niece's, the Himalayas and the mummy which each was so tasty, fresh and full of flavors. Reading the menu had me wonder what to try and how would it tastes because some of the combination ingredients seemed like they wouldn't taste good together but for my choices and how they were prepared and tasted, each was very good. I also tried some general tso chicken broccoli with black rice which I ordered to take home for my husband and that was good too. My drink of choice was their hot Asian tea which I always enjoy. My niece asked if i would come eat here again and i definitely would. Prices seemed reasonable for the restaurants I enjoy. Thank you Kumo staff for an enjoyable lunch today.

By far the best in any town wherever you live. Never a issue with taste, price or service. We come here once a month!

I still think this is one of the best places to get quality sushi in Buffalo. I went on a Sunday evening and it was packed (both dine in and take out). People must like it haha. Staff were very friendly and accommodated food allergies when informed. They even provided on the house dessert for my party of nine. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. I didn't even ask for anything for the occasion (nor did I tell them ahead of time the reason for the reservation). I think they got the hint when people started giving her gifts. Either way, it was very thoughtful of them. A pleasant surprise :) The food presentation is just as good as the taste!

The vibe of the place is nice. Our waitress was friendly. The time for the food coming out was not too bad. The presentation of the food was really pretty and best of all it was reasonally affordable.

Fantastic service as always and the food is prepared in such a delightful manor! Angry dragon comes in such wonderful shape with the head being shaped like a dragon with the eyes and all! Absolute adorable!
