The food has and is really good. They've been consistent with the quality of food and service. Nice place to have a nibble with friends and family.

Amazing non-veg food. Must try is mutton ribs ( one of the best non-veg starts I have ever tried, the meat is so soft and cooked well) The mini falooda will be a great finisher for your lunch.

The restaurant held a legacy. I doubt if it still has. Dishwashing liquid smell in the soup. We had metal scrubber pieces at bottom. Restaurant was untidy. Literally nil response from the restaurant and no apologies either. We cancelled everything and left.

I miss the old world charm, Samco had before Lifestyle came and forced it to relocate. Miss the kattan chaya after a hearty meal. Parotta and pepper chicken gravy was fabulous. Chicken biriyani was not top notch but not bad

Ordered chicken biriyani which is normally nice. But today the meat served was hard and rubbery. Maybe now they are not bothered about the quality because they enjoy good reputation. Time for the restaurant to review and make a surprise visit to their kitchen to get first hand knowledge of food served for dining.

Worst food, priced very high. If u expect the old taste of Samco, then u r up for great disappointment. Very very average taste.nlt worth the money paid, especially the Arabian platter. Not happy...

I mostly order from Samco & I love the food but last Friday, 18th June I went to the restaurant with my boyfriend & ordered the same tawa masala prawns & it wasn’t cooked properly, it was raw inside. Rest good was good . I mentioned to the order taker as well but their was zero resolution. Felt extremely bad, although paid for the food & left. Very bad experience.

Grill chicken 😋 5/5 with mayonnaise 2.Chicken Mandi 3/5 May be that’s how the Mandi biriyani taste’s but for me being a biriyani lover it was not so great but the chicken…it was a fried chicken which was very soft and nice 3.Mutton Mandi 4/5 Just for the mutton,it was super soft and taste but more of a tangy taste not sure if everyone would like it but I did with the mayonnaise.And rice was the same as chicken 4.Both the biriyani base was actually same couldn’t differentiate ,too many pepper balls and other things to remove off from the plate was a bit annoying But May be the dish meant for a different set of people who like it this way ,but not a right place for a biriyani lover But you guys should try the grill sometime

The WORST RESTAURANT in chennai city, today i went there I was so hungry I ordered mutton briyani, nalli kurma.. they took more than 40 minutes to bring it.. the worst briyani I tasted in my whole life, nalli kurma was full of garlic pieces and the mutton was uncooked..I just kept the food called staffs said feedback about food they not even considered me reacting so dumb.. DONT EVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT..

If mallu has over expectation that here you would get Kerala meals, then this is not the right place to expect it. Like all other hotels, the same routine foods are served. I was totally disappointed

Hotel Samco Main flourishes on its thriving restaurant located on the ground floor of the property. The rooms are in compliance with its two star standards. Rooms are clean and air conditioned but lack lustre. There's a dresser, coffee table, bedside chests and padded chairs or sofas (depending on the room). Linens are white and clean and house keeping services are provided on request. Bathrooms are equipped with trash bin, towels and dental kit, soaps are provided. The air conditioning is not the best maintained. Hotel offers complimentary tea in the mornings per guest and two bottles of packaged drinking water for a room each day of your stay. The restaurant offers good and hygienic food. It was awarded the best restaurant in 2019 among the Southern states. The property is located in the heart of Alwarpet on Eldams Street right opposite Kauvery Hospital, Fab India and Home Centre. For people seeking treatment at Kauvery, it is one of the best and affordable places to stay. While Marina Beach is located at a distance of 3.4 Km, the shopping district of T. Nagar is 3.4 km. Chennai Central is located at a distance of 6 kms and the airport is 17 kms away. Overall a good place to stay for people traveling on work/business related purposes or medical treatment.

Taste and ambiance are excellent. Briyani is very average. Recommend to Try out starters and other dishes except briyani.

Worst Experience in chain restaurant. We stepped in by 2.15pm for lunch, they asked us to take basement floor for dining because the ground floor is completely occupied. They took order, after 30 mins the waiter is coming and asking us to move to ground floor as the service in the basement is closed by 2.45. Don’t know then why you guys asked to go basement for dining, you know the cooking time is min of 15-20 and you will close dining in next 30 mins. We just walked out without having food after waiting for 30 mins. I won’t suggest this to anyone.

Samco in alwarpet is damn good - parotta & vartha curry 😋😋😋 The food in Annanagar outlet is Trash - only the ambience is impressive

Food is good, just tried the veg cuisine. I think the tall fair handsome guy needs to be trained on how to behave with the person who dines... This is the first time I think I was judged as per my attire.. Disappointed

I ordered chicken briyani and it tasted good. Service is good and delivered without any delay. But the price of every item seems to be a little high.

My Brothers family and i visited kauvery hospital for some medical check up, And We Needed to stay there in chennai near to the hospital, We have found this Hotel Samco opposite to the hospital and visited there They were very friendly and helpful and we took 2 rooms we stayed approximately 25days The staff noticed that we are here for some hospital issue and since day2 they were very kind and helpful Even some of our family members visited us on the day times like 5 members even after so many people were roaming up and down They were still supportive and treated us very well I genuinely prefer this hotel to the people who visit the kauvery hospital Thank You Hotel Samco management and staff for treating us as a family

Average restaurant. The taste was good and also the ambiance. You should try middle eastern dishes here. The best and unique dish I had here was killi parota. Has parking space for both cars and motorcycles. Food was served without much delay.

Food: Chicken Mandi was good, asked for regular and we got only bbq as they were out of regular chicken. Mandi was good but not delicious. I loved the mandi dishes in Kerala. 2 adults can share one mandi. Pichi potta barotta was delicious 😋 5/5 it was cooked in coconut oil, authentic mallu dish😋👌🏽. Royal Falooda was just average, ingredients were not authentic. 2 adults can share the drink. Service: quick, friendly and welcoming service. The two seater tables are cramped, small tables and not comfortable for eating. The 4 seater tables with sofa is comfortable 👍🏽. #IndiaTrip #Chennai

Food was very tasty and rates were slightly on the higher side. Quantity served was limited but overall it was a good outing.

Hotel is next to Kamal Hassan's MNM office. So be prepared for his security to throw some tantrums while you wait for your car to be picked up for valet. Food's great 👍🏻

The oldest and first Samco in Chennai. Great food great ambience. Reasonably priced. Can accomodate 2 or 3 cars in parking. Two wheeler parking may not be an issue. Rooms are available.

Clean. Quick and efficient service. Excellent menu and super tasty and delicious food. All items ordered were extremely satisfying. Loved the malai chicken, red snapper roast, chilli prawns, Idiyappam Paya, butter garlic naan and paneer butter masala.

We like soups, naan and Tandoori items here. Also, we like juices and ice creams served here esp Falooda.

A family treat.. wow it was good. We had a nice tasty food.. idiyappam n paya was my favourite. Soups were equally good to start with.

Their food has been consistent....fairly decent.We went there this time on 2 consecutive days for tea and snacks....mutton samosas, stuffed Ceylon paratas and black tea.We actually wanted Sulaiman Chai but they didn't know what we were talking about.

Just today, i went to eat with my family. The food is delicious. It is a nice restaurant to spend time with family.
