Have been there last week for breakfast. Long time in my wish list. The ambience is good and there is limited car parking space in the street. They had many varieties in their menu. The taste is not that much as I expected and didn't feel good for long time. Overall their food taste is not like other similar restaurants.

Horrible service, got the corner table and we ordered thaali, except soup and butter naan none of the other items are warm. There was one waiter standing in front of us and looking other tables but not us. We didn't even get water refilled by themselves until the end of our meal. I know that place is super busy and lot of people having food at peak time, but an waiter just standing, other than looking all tables doing nothing, didn't even bothered to ask or think to leave a water jar in our table. Food was made with good quality ingredients, but the taste is not upto the mark(except lassi and paan) i had better mushroom 65 and paneer masala in roadside stalls than here. Truely disappointed and over rated. 😓😓. Will not recommend anyone to buy north indian thali there.

This outlet is so double bustling with huge crowds awaiting to dine one of the finest vegetarian Cuisine in Chennai City. On a bustling day it may take minimum 45 to 60 minutes to get a seat for you to dine. The team will be throttled to avail seats. Yet they are striving their best to serve the customer. We ordered Limited South Indian Thali & it's finger liking Good. So yummy with fabulous accompaniments. Loved their food, options & service. Hotel situated in T Nagar with wallet car parking. On weekends there will be huge waiting we have to get token and wait for our turn. Food taste and quality is good quantity is OK. The good old Sangeetha seems to be Geethakannan now. As usual excellent it is a great place for authentic South Indian food. Tried the classic Onion Rava. The combination of thinly chopped onions on cooked along with crisp Rava Dosa is always divine ! Had a classic Poori with potato masala. Finished the meal with Rose milk. Overall , a great experience

We never knew Geetham was so near us in T.Nagar. As always, the gentle greet, clean tables, white ambience and the cushion sofas, they please your senses. This could become a fine dine if they could dim the lights, turn on some soft music to amp up the atmosphere. More importantly, the food choices are on par with high class vegetarian restaurants. Great for families.

A place with very high demand and crowded most of the time… u might have to wait in line for your turn… but the place does justice to the wait… The food was delicious and at a reasonable rate the waiters were quick to respond and on time… most of all the owner is always in the restaurant and comes and talks to everyone very freely and is an extremely down to earth person… something which u don see quite often… Except for the leaky AC in the corner everything else was satisfactory!!!

we visited here on a Sunday, Feb 6 for lunch post shopping from Kumaran silks... Restaurant was too much crowd..Food was good. Paneer butter masala was too notch.. they provide wallet parking as well... BUT.....A BIG BUTTTT..... pathetic service... Yes it was crowded but despite the crowd when we were seated, waiters were very much NON RESPONSIVE... It's not that they were busy, some 8-9 waiters were just simply standing, during middle of the meal, i wanted order another dish but unable to identify the person who was servicing my table..i called out for help to other waiters (the 8 PPL bunch whom simply standing) but to much of the disappointment they did not even care to respond me..they simply nodded there heads...i tried to communicate in English and Tamil...but NO RESPONSE!!!! to add one more point, nobody servicing was able to speak the reginal language or English....dear hotel, in what language do you expect to speak to waiters in chennai...pls tell me!!!!!

Best place to savour delicious South India breakfast. I tried Pongal with vadai Hmmmm...,it was mouth watering. Idly is served with Vada curry and podi, Never seen that anywhere else. This is known to be one of the best veg restaurant in Chennai. It has multiple chains across the city but I found it bit hyped. No doubt it’s very spacious and even then you may have to wait. They shuffled one of our orders and we had to ask for basic things ourselves like tissues, chutneys, etc. The taste is also okay but not as per the best restaurant. The ambience is good and the prices are quite reasonable even at the brand store.

I've divided this review into 3 sections based on the services they provide. 1st is DINING: It's a pleasant dining experience. Excellent customer service and friendliness by staffs. The ambience is pleasant, and the dining room is on the ground floor, making it convenient for senior citizens to visit. 2nd is Takeaways and parcel: The takeaway/parcel team is horrible.. even if there is no crowd, they will make you wait for at least 45 minutes to receive your ordered food.. for takeaways/parcel, you must follow up numerous times at the billing counter. Management has to look into this & take appropriate measure to make this team work effective as more customers tend to opt for parcel options these days due to pandemic. 3rd is Home Delivery: As of now, if you order more than Rs.200, you will receive free home delivery within a 2km radius of the hotel. This delivery team is incredibly efficient and uses contactless delivery. Payment options: Cash, cards and gpay options are available. Parking: Valet car parking and ample 2 wheeler parking is available. Overall: The food is of high quality, and the quantity supplied is also good value for money. There is a lot of variety. You can also order food in big quantities for functions from here. A MUST VISIT for a family lunch/dinner or a get-together with friends/coworkers.

One of the best authentic South-Indian Veg only restaurant which impressed me right from the word GO. To begin with, it was valet parking so there were no troubles worrying about parking space on the main road. Proper safety standards were followed with masks, shields and gloves worn by everyone who were serving their customers. Though it was a tad bit crowded, they had good seating space with great lighting. Since we went as a group we had the chance to try out almost all their signature dishes. For soups, their French onion was the best with amazing kick and mild spice; lemon coriander was sour yet was different Next up was the Paneer tikka, soft and well marinated; had good infusion of flavors. Sambar vada and Thayir vada were selling like hotcakes and the authentic south Indian flavor was visible in their sambar. P.S.: Boondi on top of thayir vada is the king. Their mini meals, variety meals, mushroom biryani and their tiffin varieties deserve an applause. Each of them were filled with a unique flavor though they were only mild-spiced. Gobi Manchurian and Honey chilly potato were my favorites; Gobi was spicy and the veggies were almost saturated in the sauce while the potato was sweet with crunchiness to it. It also had a saucy texture going well as a side for all dishes. Butter naan, Cheese Naan and Methi roti went great with Dhaba panner and Aloo Subzi. The cheesy stuffing in between the aloo in subzi deserves a praise. Sangeetha Special, Chocolate and Butterscotch Falooda were there to end the meal with. The base for all the desserts were same with slight aberration in their toppings. Sangeetha special had strawberry with Pista sauce, chocolate had a bourbon with Choco chips and the Butterscotch had crunchy caramel along with the jujube. To sum it up, the service was excellent with no waiting time for both seating and for the food to reach our tables. They were courteous enough to cater our group in spite of the weekend crowd. Their disposable cutleries was commendable given the current situation. And finally, price wise, they are still serving at nominal rates which would definitely attract their regular crowd/customers. WELL DONE!!

Perfect taste, reasonable price, decent seating, good staff obliging all of my requests. Ghee roast was full of ghee, rava masala was filled with cashews. Coconut chutney was yummy, sambar was hot and tasty. Visited twice and both the times had to wait, once was Monday noon. That’s shows how good this place has been over time. Didn’t get an opportunity to try chats and North Indian. One of the best Veg restaurants I have been to and would recommend all to try.

Tried mini tiffin for breakfast and highly satisfied with the quality. Mini idli is super soft as promised. Vada is crispy, masal dosa is okay. Pongal tasted as usual but the highlight is the chutneys, coriander and kara chutney were fresh and flavorful. Kesari is too sweet.

I went there with my family for dinner. Reached there by evening 7pm. Got seats easily. We ordered for North Indian food in a South indian restaurant. This was the mistake I have made. ( I understood that time that if it is idly or dosa they get served within 10 mins but if you choose for tandoori dishes, they take upto 30 mins minimum time.) They took more than 45 mins to serve. And in between I asked the waiter 3-4 times about the food. We were so angry 😅 about these waiters not replying correctly plus not paying attention to us, plus so much of rush in Tnagar Sangeeta on a Sunday evening, it got crazy. Finally I got up to argue with the manager for making it so late but then our food came. First he gave tandoori paneer tikka 🍢 as starter. God it was sooooo nice. Big chunks of paneer and were so fluffy 😍. Then came tandoori roti and butter roti with malai kofta sabzi. That sabzi made my anger disappear in one shot👏. Malai kofta was Creamy and was with a sweet taste because it's cashew gravy and it won our heart and it was soo tasty plus the hunger made me eat like I have never seen roti sabzi.🤣. All in all - Paneer tikka was awesome 👌 Tandoori roti was okay. Butter roti was awesome 👌 Malai kofta sabzi was fab 👏💕 Final bill value was Rs.800/- Management has to teach their staff/waiters how to react to customers.

I and my wife had an early dinner yesterday at Geetham. We ate Mysore masala dosa and plain dosa. The food taste & quality was good especially Mysore m dosa. The accompaniments like chutnies & samabar were also good. My wife wanted Jain sambar and it was provided. Sunday evening crowd did exist but it was moving fast. We would love to come back again and try more items . It would be nice if the AC would be more effective.

I went there with my family for dinner here. I was told that this is now apparently the best iconic place in Chennai (after fall of Saravana Bhavan) for south Indian food. The place had valet parking facility which was good. We had to wait for 20 mins to get a table as we went on a Saturday night- weekend mornings would be more crowded and expect higher wait times. We ordered, Ghee roast, Porotta, Idly vada curry and Chole Bhature and Gobi 65. The service was really good. The ghee roast was big, tasty and filling so was other dishes. The vadacurry was very nice and its rare to see that dish normally in shops in Bengaluru. When we told the Gobi 65 was soggy, the waiter took it back and brought back a fresh set - it was a great gesture. Overall a good place to have a good dining with family/friends.

The most worst service I have seen in decades. Especially it’s a shock and surprise for me that the service is happening in Geetha that too at GN Chetty road branch, is horrible. Mr Prabin who was doing the service in Table No4, was not at doing a proper service. Disrespectful greeting, lethargic way of taking order, water was not being served. First time in my history visiting Geetham my bill was not more than 1k. Usually we enjoy the food and the caring service there. What has happened to this restaurant?

Went around 11.30pm,. Had Dosas, Onion podi Uttapam, Coffee, Masala Milk, Watermelon juice with Friends. Service wasn't proper. Food was okay. Better luck next time 😉.

I visited this restaurant this morning after a hectic drive in the night. I and my friend received in with a warm welcome and served with hot water. But the waiter who attended my table was not really kind and his attitude was very disrespectful. The food taste is absolutely good and I'm happy with the breakfast combo plate that is served. But upset with the hospitality.

Sangeetha is my “go to” place for all things Siuth Indian and veggie. Not just that, their North Indian palette is very good too, my favourite being their Palak paneer and garlic naan. Amongst Southie delicacies I usually root for their meal platter or the mini lunch platter. Their ice creams are to die for- they used to serve peach melons till just before the lockdown in March 2029, which is now missing. Hope they get it back. What I also miss is their ilai Adi’s, a sweet delicacy , which I am lucky to get on very rare occasions. More power to Sangeetha on GN Cherry Road, T Nahar

Visited Sangeetha Veg Restaurent on 22/8/2020. This Branch is Located in T-Nagar only Parcel Service available due to Covid 19 restrictions in Chennai. Very Nice & Tasty Food at reasonable rates. Took parcel & ate food sitting in our vehicle. Nearby T- agar vicinity, this is the only Nice-Veg Hotel available. Different types of Sweet is sold in the same Sweet Stall. Nice-2 types of Breakfast Combo Pack is sold at cheap price & this is sold only between 7am to 10am Nice Veg Meals of South & North style are available after 12pm. Different variety of Morning Tiffins are sold & is only parcel service due to Covid restriction. On the whole it is a very good Family restaurent for Veg Food Lovers.

Good food. Good ambience and courteous staff. Love the varieties and options they provide. But still, I am giving 1 star because they have miserably failed to sort their parking issue. They do not have proper parking or the manpower for it. The traffic from the nearby signal directly moves towards you and jams instantly causing a catastrophic consequence. Will never visit again until they sort this issue out. PS. If you are just a passerby or driving through the restaurant, you will face intense discomfort and delay just to cross the place.

It's our back to back two weekends at sangeethas @GN chetty road. Since it's a weekend we had to wait in line but the management was professional. We were given clean and Sanitised table within minutes. The food is yummy and hot. We ordered vendaya dosai and vada curry. Appam and falooda. The taste of vadacurry was different to tye first time and that was slightly bothering me. But altogether the experience is pretty good.

All dishes served here are authentic and delicious. Have seen the chain maintain their standards over the years. The food is slightly more expensive compared is counterparts but it is totally worth it considering the quality offered. Ghee dosa is a must have ! There are Sangeetas and then there is this specific branch at GN Chetty, which is like the kid which gets A+ in all subjects! Strange analogy I know, but clearly every item made here is interestingly more refined in taste than the others? Seating inside is impossible without a wait at peak hours. Their mini meals is one of the best in the business and If you like Curd Rice, then you are in for a treat! Absolutely butter smooth.

An Air conditioned place and clean place to have mixed varieties of south Indian breakfast. Their combo breakfast has good options like 5 mini idli, Pongal, upma, mini dosa. Usually the peak hours are little crowded. Very limited parking facility provided by the hotel but there is public parking facility available just in front of the hotel. Bathrooms need more maintenance.

Always love visiting geetham. as always staff is friendly, service is prompt visited idli mela, had different types of idli, but thatte idli and masala idly were great. plain idly was the best. hope they continue with thatte idli and masala idly during normal days

Came to buy sweets and snacks. They had limited but good varieties of milk, kaju and Turkish sweets. They have sample snacks to taste and buy. Sweets were tasted good and we bought like gift pack for friends (mix of sweets). I visited chennai after 10 Yrs and this restaurant was refered by one of my friend and it ought to be great surprise to me. Had onion podi dosa and belive me ..this was the best dosa I ever had. Served crispy with podi and onion supported by 2 chutneys and sambar. The Golden yellow colour with little crisp was an amazing feelng. Appam and stew were soothing. Stew was cold/room temperature they said that how it’s supposed to be. Podi dosa, onion rava dosa and tomato soup were really well portioned and tasty. Chapati (per plate had 2 pieces) came with kurma (veg gravy) and onion raita. Service was really good, they all paid special attention and were attentive throughout our time. I asked for warm water refills for about 5 glasses twice and despite being a busy crowd, fully occupied tables, they were prompt.
