All went well until the time we paid for our gold. There is no doubt they have unique designs. When we purchased our gold, we realized that they had billed us for more gold than what the piece actually weighed. I didn't expect this from Vummudi. Upon asking them if they can give us a voucher for the overpaid amount, they refused by stating mistakes happen. The bottom line is to first weigh the gold before billing it. DO NOT TRUST the weight listed on the sticker.

Their customer support (specifically John) is synonymous with their collections which makes shopping with them the most pleasant experience, even miles away from Chennai and the ability to get them shipped safely across the world is the icing on the cake. Don’t go to this store This is the harsh truth about vummidi With astounding making charges 30 percent and other looting techniques. The sales person act like street vendors. They don’t treat you well after your purchase is done . If the customer wants to look at other items, they are impatient and rude to customers. Me and my family treated poorly even after spending 30 lakhs on jewelry . It’s not the vummidi we know. I am not spending my hard money on humongous making charges and ill treating sales person and floor manager sarita.

yesterday, my family/myself visited store for buying short chains but nobody bothered to show us the collection. they assigned a boy who could not understand wat we were asking. we left the store immediately and bought the chains elsewhere. its ok if all are busy but have some respect and try retaining customers or just lose business.

We visited CBJ on 1st aug to buy some wedding jewelry. We were really impressed with the selection range ( amazing) and the service of the store assistant Lakshmi. Upto that point it was a “ superb” experience.we bought some lovely stuff . The estimate was made and we handed over some old gold ornaments to be exchanged. A chain, two gold bands and a bangle. They said they would put it into a “ caratometer ( hope I got that right)and let us know values. I was surprised when they returned a low caratage for the gold bands as we were sure that it was good stuff. I asked to see their evaluation and we were sent to a counter. We couldn’t see the readings but had to take their word for granted. When I questioned, the counter person mentioned that the rings were of different carats and he has averaged them together. He did a simple average between a ring with higher weight and carat with that of the lower one, resulting in a lower valuation. Not correct at all. They made it separate after I insisted. I have been to other shops and they always show/ share the results of the gold for exchange. I am certainly visiting VBJ again but I do hope they sort this one out and share / show details. Sorry about this long post. 😔🙏🏼

Vummidi, they have their own name in this business since generations and they excel in their quality and unique elegant designs. But today I had a bitter experience in their service which literally made me feel low. there is a difference in their service based on the amount of business one gives. I had a chit which I had paid only for 3 months and due to some personal reasons I had to. Preclose. So I wanted to buy something with that amount with some more money I had. I bought a 4 gm earring and the sales person till I finished the purchase he never even offered me water. Where I could see others offering water, coffee or even soft drinks. Sales person was literally pushing me to start another chit...wherein i kept indicating that now I am not in a position. He was not ready to understand. This kind of service today made me feel so inferior and made me think probably it's not a place for middle class person like me. Still I salute Vummidi for their quality and the trust I have with the brand.

They told me that I will receive the certificates by email, did not receive it as promised. Sales person is out of pocket once they make the sale.
