Hey fellas, Nice and pleasant place to walk. I would rather name it as Lovers park than a Tower LoL... Place nicely maintained. I request to place some equipments for pull ups and double bar. Request to public not to behave worst inside the park please do remember people are around you walking etc..

I recently had the opportunity to visit Anna Tower, which was opened to the public just a few months ago. I had been trying to visit for months, but it was closed due to some issues. I am so glad that I was finally able to go, and I was very impressed. The tower is located in Anna Nagar Tower Park, a beautiful park in the suburb of Anna Nagar, Chennai. The tower is 133 feet tall and offers stunning views of the city. The best part is that the climb to the top is not too difficult, thanks to the spiral design and the rubber cushions on the floor. I didn't feel tired at all, even though I am not in the best physical shape. The views from the top of the tower are simply breathtaking. You can see for miles in every direction. It is a great place to get a sense of the scale and scope of Chennai. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Anna Tower. It is a great place to go for a walk, relax in the park, and enjoy the views of the city. The tower itself is a unique and impressive structure, and the climb to the top is well worth it.

Anna tower This is a must visit place if you are in Anna nagar, Chennai. It is located at the very prime location in Anna nagar. The park has two entrances. The first entrance is located near the Ayyappan temple and the second entrance is at 3rd main road. It is the tallest park tower in Chennai. The tower is 12 storied and 135 foot tall located at the middle of the park. It has the ramp spiraling to the top. Surrounded by many fountains. The fountains look great during the night time because of their attractive lightings. The park along with the tower is maintained by Chennai corporation. The tower is recently opened for the visitors after long years, the timings are 7AM to 10 AM & 3PM to 6 PM. One can go at the top and experience the scenic view of the city. The park has dedicated children’s play areas (at 3 different locations), lakes, amphitheatre, skating rink etc. surrounded by so many trees. The places are well maintained. You will find so many people walking throughout the park on walking tracks. Many activities for kids can be seen inside the park such as dance practice, boxing, different martial arts including karate and regional sport like Silambam etc. I was impressed by the skating rink. So many small children’s taking training about the skating. You can seat an enjoy watching them learning skating. (Skating sessions may be held on weekends). The place is mostly crowded on weekends, difficult to find parking for 4 wheelers. 2 wheelers can be parked near to the park. The authorities have to look after for proper parking arrangements. You will find many fast food operators nearby, just outside the park.

One for skating & another with a podium which can be used for various purposes with prior permission. During the mornings, skating practice, boxing classes, dance practice and various activities takes place. It has a tower surrounded with fountains which is named after it as Anna Tower. This is an very good place for children recreation. Following tips might help future visitors: 1. Tower view timing : 7am - 10am, 3pm to 6pm 2. children's play area available in 3 locations adequate for children up to 7 years of age 3. Lots of food joints outside the entrance of the park for people to choose from for snack times. 4. Best enjoyed if the visit is between 5pm and 6pm or 7am - 8am.

A nice park within the heart of the city, very big with a lot of trees and spaces for people to relax. The park is very big where people can do walking, jogging etc, it was slightly crowded by people, be aware of the birds on the trees. Saw children practicing Scating, Karate, Dance etc., the tower in the middle ia very nice but no entry to it, there are fountains around but is not maintained well and so not working. Overall a nice place.

Anna Tower in Anna Nagar is a must-visit gem. Nestled at a prime location with entrances near Ayyappan temple and 3rd main road, it stands tall as the highest park tower in Chennai—12 stories, 135 feet of architectural marvel. The spiraling ramp and captivating fountains, illuminated at night, add to its allure.Managed by the diligent Chennai Corporation, the park welcomes visitors from 7AM to 10AM and 3PM to 6PM. Ascend to the top for breathtaking city views. Discover a haven for children with play areas, lakes, an amphitheater, and a vibrant skating rink. The weekends come alive with kids engaging in various activities, including delightful skating sessions.Anticipate weekend crowds and limited 4-wheel parking; however, 2-wheel parking options are conveniently available. Authorities are encouraged to enhance parking arrangements. Indulge in the diverse culinary offerings from nearby fast-food options, completing a delightful visit to this enchanting park.

Just visited the most beautiful structure of Chennai Anna Nagar tower. As a child I have been to this tower now at the age of 45 I am revisiting this place. For Google meet up Chennai this place was chosen. So from Adyar via Anna Nagar Ayyappan temple I entered the eastern side. Crossing a row of plants, shrubs, and walking area I reached the mighty tower. Built with 13 floors, that go as a swirl round about way, the beauty of this walk up is you get to see city on one side and only greenery on the other side. As you climb up, air thickens but blows hard. The floor is laid with soft material tiles, which are not fixed so they keep moving. During summer they act as coolers while in winter or rainy days they act as slippery mats if not watched might lead to a fall. The entry to this tower is free. Coming out before leaving I saw an array of shops selling best eateries, snacks and fried food. Icecream are popular all through the year. A place to stop by and visit in chennai.

This lake is not maintained properly. The tower is big with a long runway but this place is also not well-painted Some people are Brainless so they pollute the place by writing their names and scribblings on the walls. It's a very famous park in Anna Nagar Besides this is an Ayyappan temple. The park is free of cost. They conduct many sessions like Yoga, Karate, skating, etc. The top-notch view is found from the top of the tower. Must visit for the kids and explore new places. There are so many kiosk shops for snacks, juice, and hang-out spots.

Anna Tower Park presents a dual experience for visitors. On one hand, it offers a serene atmosphere for relaxation and exercise, with plenty of well-maintained benches providing comfortable resting spots. However, during my visit, I was disappointed to find that the water fountains were not working, and the ponds were empty, which detracted from the overall appeal. The park's tower, on the other hand, is a standout feature, providing an excellent viewpoint with stunning views of Chennai from the top. It's an opportunity to appreciate the city's beauty from a different perspective. Regrettably, the tower's walls have been vandalized by some visitors with indecent and vulgar phrases. It's crucial that everyone respects the artistic value of the structure and refrains from such behavior, ensuring that this remarkable viewpoint remains a cherished attraction for all.

This is an old legacy place for locals. This has a big park with fountains and play area all around. The center of attraction is the tower. We can climb on top of this. I use to go during my childhood. It was closed due to multiple incidents but government has taken action in opening it again now. Tomorrow they are planning to allow people to go in top of the tower, that an excellent news. There is a small entertainment arena. People practice and coach dancing, skating, and excercises. One change I felt is all the seating chairs are full with pairs all around. Play area is divided into multiple sections and multiple choices for kids to play. Overall this place is a good family entertainer. Visited this this week i felt slightly worried when visiting this as the current generation has proved their legacy by writing all over the walls with love symbols and names in just a week of inauguration. Inside tower walls are completely named by students who visit them with love messages and names. I felt really sad worrying about the younger generation.

Situated in Chennai, this spacious park ranks among the city's finest for family outings. With an expansive layout, it offers ample room for quality time with loved ones. A recently accessible iconic tower at its center provides panoramic Chennai views, adding a unique touch. Nevertheless, evenings here can be marred by a noticeable mosquito presence. Furthermore, the park's central pond, while visually appealing, can sometimes emit an unpleasant sewage-like odor. Despite these minor drawbacks, with some precautions, it remains a delightful park for families and individuals, combining ample space and captivating sights.

A park in the middle of the city is always a privilege. Especially when the entry comes at no cost. It’s a very peaceful place . This is a place for people who would like to find some time away from the city noises. There is enough place for light exercises and relaxing. The tower is a must visit. Families would love this place . You can see a lot of couple and middle aged people as well as small group of youngster having fun playing different games.

The tower has been renovated and opened to public. Climbing the ramp upto top of the tower is quite an experience that one should not miss. The panoramic view of the Chennai City atop 130 feet is wonderful. The park itself is green with plenty of trees and a walk around the periphery is a little over 1km. Better to go by walk or 2 wheeler as car parking might be an issue .

It has the tower view and a few mini stages where few musical concerts by local peoples, kid skating and sitting places to relax ourselves. Some physical activity things. Some walking paths around the park. But it doesn't have a parking area. We have to park our vehicles around the area. You can spend 2 to 3 hours there.

Anna Nagar Tower Park, Chennai Anna Nagar Tower Park, officially known as Dr. Visveswaraya Tower Park, is an urban park in the suburb of Anna Nagar, Chennai. It is the tallest park tower in Chennai. The soaring 12-storey tower in the heart of the park punctuates the skyline and gives the park its popular name. The tower has been closed for the public. However, the park is still open. The park extends over an area of over 15 acres. Tower Park attracts scores of local residents and even people from other areas of Chennai because it has plenty to offer apart from its leafy greenery. There is a lake, an Amphitheatre, a bird-watching deck, badminton courts, play area for kids and a skating rink. Visvesvaraya Park is maintained by the Chennai Corporation. History Anna Nagar Tower Park was built in 1968 as part of the World Trade Fair. The park was built by B. S. Abdur Rahman and was inaugurated by former Vice-President V. V. Giri in the presence of the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. N. Annadurai. The park was renovated at a cost of Rs 62 million and reopened in 2010. The Park The park covers an area of 15.35 acres and is one of the few remaining lung spaces in the city. The main component of the park is the 135-foot-tall, 12-storied tower located at the centre of the park. The tower has cyclic ramp spiraling to the top. The tower also has an elevator at the centre. The park, along with the tower, is maintained by the Chennai Corporation. The park has an Amphitheatre, a bird-watching deck, badminton courts, play area for kids, a skating rink, a lake, and convenience facilities for the visitors. The park has a variety of activities to offer for various enthusiasts like Silambattam, Karate, Yoga, Parkour. After the December 2015 rains, the Lake area is full of large fishes, Birds and Turtles and has become a major attraction for the locals. Since the local police are not able to effectively manage the tower, entry to the tower has been banned since 2011 due in part to instances of suicides and scribblers, thereby depriving the city of a valuable tourist location. It is popular with morning walkers and joggers, and with families and young people in the evenings to play and relax. Park Opening Time The Park opens from 04.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 03.00 p.m to 9.00 p.m. Connectivity Anna Nagar Tower Park is located near the chief roundabout of the neighbourhood (known as the Anna Nagar Roundana) and the Ayyappan Temple. The main entrance of Anna Nagar Tower Park is located on the 3rd Main Road next to the Tower Club. The second entrance lies near the Ayyappan Temple on the 6th Main road. The Park is situated besides Anna Nagar Ayyappan Koil Bus Stop. The Park is located at about 500 meters from Anna Nagar Tower Metro Station, 600 meters from Anna Nagar East Metro Station, 2 Kms from Thirumangalam Metro Station, 2 Kms from Thirumangalam Junction Bus Stop, 4 Kms from Koyambedu Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus, 8 Kms from Egmore Railway Station, 9 Kms from Chennai Central Railway Station and 21 Kms from Chennai Airport. The Park can be easily reached easily either by public transport or by auto rickshaw/taxi, as the temple is located in a prime location of Chennai. My review : Excellent place to spend a time 👌

An excellent metropolitan park, the Anna Nagar Tower Park is turned to as probably the best thing to do in Chennai in the nights. The recreation center obliges the tallest pinnacle (extending at 135 feet) in the entire of city, in this manner drawing a ton of guests. It's anything but a formation of 1968, in order to be a piece of the World Trade Fair. The recreation center is very much kept up and scattered, making for a fantastic fascination for relaxation exercises. There are various seats through the recreation center, where you can sit and appreciate an euphoric evening. By Surified

Tower is the address of Anna Nagar, built elegantly. The walking and running course is divided into multiple pathways so that people can carry out with their morning routine/exercises easily without causing disturbances to others. On the whole, this place is 5/5 for relaxing yourself.

Very neatly maintained park. Good place to spend for the people of all ages. Children will enjoy playing area, watch skating. But parking is a very big problem here. The park doesn't have designed parking, we need to park vehicle only on the adjacent of the road, which will again create disturbance to the residents in that lane. If we are late by 7:00 PM to the park, then we won't get place to park.

Spread over more than 20 acres and two small ponds as water bodies, a tower which is the land mark of Annanagar , verdant landscape and play area from kids and skating rink, it has all. Clean and well maintained park with good available play area for kids and a great place to have a relaxed mind and avail mental peace. The tower adds on a great significance giving a complete view of the Chennai city from the top. As a whole, it’s a good place to visit along with family members.
