The food was good and the service was great. But I am giving a single star review because of an incident. I witnessed the person who was moping the floors stick his hand into the ingredients containers and eat the food. With the other hand he was still holding the mop which he was holding just a few seconds ago with both his hands. I was surprised because the cooks and the staff were all standing there and witnessing it. If he had taken a plate and eaten the food I would not mind at all. But sticking dirty hands into the entire container and going back for seconds after putting it into his mouth is extremely unhygienic. I will never be visiting this establishment again for sure.

Wonderful ambience, amazing service by Dev and team, very fine food and a nice day we spent. They accommodated us even they are nearing the time to close. Starters crispy corn, chicken, potato were all very good. Biriyani (wedding style) tasted amazing a must try. Live counter had nice varieties. Kiddos will love the icecream and desserts counter. On top of everything they also had very nice pani poori station. We loved the concept of not tipping them for the amazing service rather company shares the profit (hats off for that). Must try and will sure come again every time we come to chennai Update Feb 2024: we went again this time when restaurant is open and the experience was very nice. Deserts were splendid and customer service they really make all customers very special and try hard to make memories and come back every time.

Food taste is bit average. Service is also slow. Main course was surprisingly good. The atmosphere was like sitting inside an oven may be due to over crowd during weekend

They had a variety of starters and main courses. So that you may have choices to choose between. Honey chicken is a must try. Their complementary things are good. Service wise, they were great and they were constantly checking with us on the spices level and other things they serve including the executive chef visits table and check with us. One of the serving person names satra, was very polite and knows how to handle customers very well. Ambience is a photo theme ambience so you may get some good lighting and photos. They had a good variety of ice cream and you can also customise your ice creams. The live counter has 6 types which must be familiar with other bbq buffets in chennai but here you can add and customise with sauce and other ingredients like garlic, jalapeno, hot sauce etc with your live counter dishes. they cost around 1K each and if you wanna try quality other than quantity. You can go here and have a real good time.

When we think about celebrations, COAL BBQ is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding, my HONEY CHICKEN, MUTION KEBAB, BIRIYANI might have been the best meal I have ever been served. Service was delightful and very professional. 10/10

The atmosphere is good. Nice ambience. Vegetarian please stay away frm this place..they won't even respect you as human n serve. Worst service for vegetarians ..not worth for money...service is pathetic.

We enjoyed as much as possible.we tried to eat till the food knocks out throat. But we stopped eating when realised if eat more hereafter , everything will came out. Anyway service is awesome. Try honey garlic chicken! It's taste is awesome.

Best place to hangout with friends and team members under reasonable budget. The starters were so good especially honey chicken and veg corn fries. The food is not that much awesome but we can enjoy as we are with friends.The desserts quantity is very less when compared to other outlets. Apart from these it's a happy place for the foodiessssssss.

Enjoyed the different types of dishes at one place. exotic dishes are there like rabbit and duck. Their table service is very well good.but when you comes out you felt not worthy for this amount.but you very well enjoyed with different types of foods at one place. And finally Desserts are awesome.

I went dinner outing with my office buddies here. It was my first Unlimited buffet experience. and it was wonderful experience. I can't say any particular individual dish is great. But overall if you want to spend time with friends and family and have a nice dinner with lot of varieties definitely it is worth for the money

Taste was good but when we visited there is no proper service, We had to wait for our starters to be recoiled more than a hour even after keep on calling them.They used to pushing us to go for deserts and main course side. And finally we have found some plastic thread in fish, after paying the bill we have shown the picture to them and they're trying to convince like it's not a big deal and saying that it is came from plastic bags which is used to carry fish meat. I never ever visit this place again and these people need to be complaint by customers legally regarding food hygiene.

It was entirely worthy to spend time and money here. We all got on for dinner for my friend birthday and there is a complimentary cake for birthday dinner booking, the cake was delicious. Firstly, Getting to the starters we had enough prawns, fish and chicken. They also provide malai varieties in them. Secondly, main course was decent and the taste of every dish was promising. Finally, the desserts where we all adore the gulab jamun, rasamali, ice creams and cakes. There are lots and lots of assortments available to choose on. Overall it is a perfect place for birthday treats, foodies,friends and family get together.

We didn't reserve the table earlier, all of sudden We went but the restaurant was fully packed since it is Sunday but a guy named Abishek helped and guided us to have a seat and service was great dated on 21/01/2024 (my birthday)

Best spot to hangout with friends and family the food is fabulous and the table service is good mostly in the buffet It's a self service the starters will be provided by the table service and the main course should be self. There are more than 75 dishes including biriyani, BBQ, chicken, fish etc etc...... The price is reasonable. They provide a free cake for birthday celebration and also they sing a bday song for you.

I should give a 5+ star for service if it's available. Such a comfortable service they provided here. Visited the place wid my Friends and we loved spending time here. The staffs here made my us to feel so comfortable, and the food was delicious too. Loved the dessert platter particularly - and the variety provided here was amazing

Anyone would go to this place not to argue or fight but to enjoy their food with friends and families. But the scenario is totally different the day we went. First time ever I had a very bad experience with the staffs of the restaurant. The server is not attentive at all and would not even mind to respond to the customer. 1. Welcome drink is something that they offer in the beginning not after 30 mins of your dining but they offered after we finished our starters that too in the glass not in the bottle. 2. We have asked to serve Golden Prawn with the server. The server must either respond by saying it’s available or not available. He didn’t even mind to respond a word. We have been asking but he didn’t even mind nor paid attention. 3. Poor crowd management. Space was very clumsy, AC wasn’t working properly. People were literally sweating a lot. 4. Items were not filled, spoons, spatulas are missing and noticed some items are not available at all. Sadly, we didn’t enjoy eating at this place, this time. 😫 Celebration mode has turned to argument mode. Anything you want either wait patiently for 30 mins or better don’t care and eat what is available readily.

Had booked dinner @7pm . Everything was fine but the place is conjested . Service was excellent ,a lot of food option is there . Both veg and non veg are available. Live BBQ is there that is the best part. Per head it is 1000 rupees .Overall a decent hotel ,you can give a try if you want .One dish I recommend is the honey chicken it taste so good :)

One of the best barbeque restaurant in Chennai. Very neat ambiance but chairs could have been better, is more like a tea shop bench. Very good service, always someone standing beside the table. Food is good but not many vegetarian options in starters and only 02 mutton and fish varieties in the entire menu. Main course also minimal, 4 rice variety and 4 non-vegetarian sides. Squid, duck, rabbit chicken available in the live counter. Dosa, Chats, pasta & Pizza also available. Too many options in deserts and two varieties of ice cream.

Everything was really good here... Can't say even a single dish was not worth it. The honey chicken wings is a MUST TRY!! All the dessert were good too. The waffles were a waste as the topping is just chocolate syrup which wasn't good. The coconut honey shot was the only thing that tasted really bad. On the contrary, the mocha shot was extremely good! Will definitely visit again!!

First of all they should change their unlimited barbecues. No proper service, no starters. Delaying like anything and pushing us to go for deserts and main course side. Barbeques fish and prawns not coming only all they give is only chicken chicken. Not worth for money paid (900 rs per head).

Best place to have the best time with your loved ones. Unlimited buffet is an added advantage. Be it a nuclear group or 40 Pol crowd you will be satisfied with the food and service they provide.

The taste is premium but when we visited we had to wait for our starters to be recoiled Not sure because of the crowd or some mishap at the kitchen . Then finally ‘Stalin’ from the staff approached us and helped us on all regard and changed the rating of this review from 2 to 4. It was my brother in laws birthday and so I asked another staff member for one of their special birthday wishes the cake was bought and only after 5 mins came the singing crew may be if the crew brought the cake along the singing would make even more sense . The menu and dessert is the same as all the barbecuses in the city. Good taste !!

Not worth for the piece. Not much varieties are there. Waiters are insiting to take pizzas more to have. Especially the Chef, coming to each and every table and asking for insta acnt and requesting everyone to follow that guy- not letting us have food until then. Dessers and main course are very limited. Taste is below average most of the foods. Starters were good.

One of the best BBQ to have your delicious food in Chennai. All the starters are awesome, a huge variety of veg, non veg, Pizza, pastas, dessert there to taste. Mangolian counters have great stuff to taste Verity of different items. I should mention about Debendra Patra who served us, he is very polite and on toes always to serve the customer better. The way he is treated is great. Thank you Cola BBQ team.

After Long time went out to Coal Barbeque.overall food was so good including maincourse and starters.....Fish was so fresh and desserts were fantastic expect ice cream....it was literally sugar water ....

Atmosphere is good, wide varieties, food taste is average, Service is very very poor... Preferred items : prawns, fish, Chicken Biryani,Honey Garlic Chicken, Mutton Seekh Kebab,Desserts. Need to improve their service if improved ... It's a good place for family and friends...

My overall experience was fine.. Starters are not up to mark.. Prawns were over cooked.. Fish smelt raw.. Honey chicken, crispy corn was really good. The main course was also preety good.. Desert also was good.. My suggestion is please try the main course. Avoid concentrating on starters.

Coal barbecue was good 3years back, but now they purely become business oriented. Have visited this place this week. Not a good experience. They are keeping one person for two live counters just to save their items being served. E.g both ice creams and roll Gulpi one person is handling. Same way veg and non veg live counter one person is handling. Pizza other chat item one person was handling.. When I visited there the restaurant is almost booked full. They are not able to refill the main Cource and dessert items.. people were waiting with their plates to get the items.. Felt AB is better.

Enjoyed the ambience!! Food - taste was average,but there were so many varieties to try. The live counter was cool. I had so many expectations! Even some of my friends recommended to try this place...I hope the quality of food would improve in future.

Visited T.Nagar branch with family after trying other branches. First things first, overall Food taste has gone down here to average. Instead of giving a welcome drink with any appetizer they gave us a thick lassi which itself half filled our food appetite. V.Bad choice. While eating starters they started giving all of us a soda/sparking drink without telling it's chargeable. After opening a bottle when we asked if it's complimentary or not, only then they told it will be charged @Rs60 per bottle. This is ridiculous & not what we expected from CB Starters came little late & service need to be improved as sometimes we had to call the guys to refill. The skewers rod was kept in same direction. The person sitting on other side of table had to lean across table to take the handle. Service could've been little more friendly. The staff attitude after giving feedback was little aggresive as they kept interrupting us to know why I had rated poor service & I got irritated. Feedback once taken from customer table is final which need to be improved for future corrective action. Instead the guys are literally getting aggresive with customers which is annoying. Place some people who can speak Tamil so that they understand what customer want. Main course was average. Desserts is another big disappointment. Most of it was too too sweet. GulabJamun & beetroot halwa was terrible. Chefs can avoid the extra sweetness. Refill of some items not done immediately as we had to leave without taking it. Ambience is good & AC was average. Cooling was less as we had to change seats due to hotness.
