Monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky, opened in 1995 on the 400th anniversary of his birth. Architects: T.G.Dovzhenko, V.I.Dmitrenko. The bronze sculpture, 5 meters high, has already become a familiar landmark for Cherkassy residents, located near the descent of the same name to Mytnitsa from Shevchenko Boulevard. Bogdan Khmelnytsky Street is also adjacent to the boulevard. The area around the monument has been landscaped. Very often, townspeople make appointments near this monument. In particular, the Bicycle Day begins here. In general, for us (Cherkasy residents) this is an ordinary thing, but without which it is difficult to imagine some everyday things, and for visitors it is one of the attractions of the city, very worthy of attention.
