New Zizzi for Chester, located next to the New Market. Very nice interior, split nicely into sections, one decorated with hanging ivy and a tree!. Another section has a view right into the kitchen, where you can see the pizzas going into the giant oven - great for kids to watch. I had a Margherita, on Zizzi's rustic base. I like the soft middle and crusty edges. It wasn't perfectly circular, but does that matter? Friendly staff and service was fast on my visit (though it was a quiet night). I observed high standards of cleanliness, with tables cleaned as soon as the previous party left. The toilets were immaculate.

Recently opened, last week October 2022. Excellent experience all round - can't wait to go back... 🍲🍛🍝🍷

Although the starters were lovely, the food was very overly priced and the mains were very disappointing. I ordered spaghetti bolangse and it tasted like watery tomato sauce with spaghetti as there was hardly any bolangse in it. My partner had the new sausage ragu and it lacked very much in flavour even though it was £16! The service as well was very poor, it was not busy but we waited ages for our sever who was usually just stood around chatting with the bar staff. Would not recommend for the money, food quality or service.

Went for my mums birthday meal as she enjoys Italian. Four of us dining, had a voucher for a free garlic bread (Zizzi Zillionaires club promo) which the waitress acknowledged for the table. So 1 garlic bread, Chicken Spiedini and a Pork and garlic meatballs (wanted Calamari but none available) Starters all came relatively quick and the service seemed great. Bit of a wait for mains, 2 Rustica Piccante pizza's, 1 Margherita with mushrooms and a Hot Smoked Salmon Carbonara. So the pizza's came and the wrong pasta dish, so had to send the pasta back. A long wait for the Carbonara, meant we'd nearly finished the Pizza's when it arrived. Pizza's were all good. What was worse was the pasta was very heavy (consistency of a Gnocchi) not enjoyable at all, so over half the plate was left. Then 3 desserts were ordered, an ice cream, a Honeycomb cheesecake and a Triple chocolate and marshmallow sundae. (which there were no marshmallows on, just something else they forgot) Then asked for the bill and it came quite quick, no offer for a discount or a free drink for my sister who had the disastrous main. Stupidly didn't check the bill when paying and we were charged for the garlic bread! So all in all a disappointing meal out, I shan't be recommending Zizzi chester to anyone. Incompetent staff who clearly arnt part of the old Zizzis's which we used to enjoy.

We ended up at zizzi's after a long drive from Sussex it was lovely the staff were friendly my son thought the chef (mark) dancing was funny and it kept him entertained in trying to catch him dancing in between eating his food our server (eliza?) Was very friendly and happy to help. We watched the chefs preparing food the lady chef (cannot remember her name possibly amelia?) Was very impressive in her pizza making skills the calzone was delicious

They asked us to pay more than we ordered. We ordered a normal pizza and they brought us the expensive one. We tried to change the price but they didn't change it. And they told us that it was our fault for not listening. Very bad

My partner and I have had a lovely evening at Zizzi in Chester. Food was delicious and the surroundings cosy and welcoming. We found the staff very polite and friendly and professional, despite them having to contend with an incredibly obnoxious male customer who appeared to have trouble understanding how vouchers work.

Not sure about the food here. I ordered Spaghetti Bolognase and my wife ordered Spaghetti Pomodoro. The bolognase sauce didn't taste of Bolognase and hardly had any meat in it. My wife and I think they simply took the same sauce from the Spaghetti Pomodoro and used it in the Spaghetti Bolognase and pretended the two dishes were different as the place was busy. The venue is good and staff nice, but my Spaghetti Bolognase tasted exactly the same as my wife's Spaghetti Pompdoro!

My expectations were set low as I had wanted to visit the new market, however that's shut on Mondays so we went in here. This place was great and so we'll head back at some point. We had very attentive service with great, tasty pizzas. The kids menu is great value for money too and if an adult isn't too hungry would be worth a go too. Only thing is I don't agree with the company policy of tips being split with everyone (IE head office, management) as my view is this is something for the front of house staff who do a good job. Take some cash as otherwise gets out on the bill

Staff were friendly however half hour before an order was taken then the food came out over a 15 minute period so the first served was cold by the time the last dish was served. Nobody came to ask if we wanted more drinks. Its an open kitchen and the chefs looked more interested in eating their own food than cooking food for the customer. They added their own service charge to the bill god knows what for. Probably because nobody is likely to leave a tip. Rubbish restaurant won't be going back in this lifetime.

Hi We really enjoyed the food and our waiter was fantastic but I did ask for a half portion on my main as I’ve had Gastric Surgery and can only manage small portions. This was refused. I was disappointed as everywhere I’ve ever eaten out since my surgery has been really helpful. I ended up ordering a starter which was also huge and I felt awful leaving so much food. Everything else was great 👍🏻

Excellent, Christmas Eve with the family after a film in The Storyhouse, ideal if you have children with you, the menu for them is really good, and the adults enjoyed it as well. Staff are really good, extremely helpful and efficient. Highly recommended

Food was lovely and there were lots of vegan options. We ordered via deliveroo and had an issue with the delivery (the app kept re-assigning drivers and the delivery time kept increasing) so called the resturant who had excellent customer service, would definitely recommend!

Great ambience, friendly staff. Their risotto and half and half pizza are amazing.

Enjoyed our meal although a bit disappointed they didn't have a risotto on that evening. We ended up both having pasta dishes which were very tasty. The desserts we had were nice too but my cheesecake base was a bit soggy. Staff were lovely and very efficient.

The amazing manager made our night spot on. The food was great and the service was excellent. The staff were so helpful and could not do enough for you. Would have given five stars but being charged .50p for glasses of water for the kids when we spent £250 on the meal was unfair in my opinion.
