Beautiful ambience. Polite staff. Food wasn't what we expected. Maybe a photo in the menu would have been nice. A bit pricey for the quantity and quality of the food. Pricey wine didn't taste so good either. We took it as a learning experience though.

The best Italian restaurant I know . Always go back. This was our first time in Piccolino Chester and was not disappointed. Met our expectations. We went on Saturday night for food and drinks, pasta + pizza were the best I've had. Staff was very nice and we're making a nice atmosphere so everyone enjoyed , we had so much laughter it was definitely a great start of Saturday night. Went back Sunday for lunch and couldn't leave it was so lovely , everyone smiling making sure you leave the place satisfied. Portions were huge , well seasoned. Already planning to go back.

The Piccolino is a rather noble restaurant. The interior design is reminiscent of Italy and the sea. The marble tables, unlike many restaurants in England, were clean and beautifully set. What really stood out, however, was the service. We received a friendly welcome and we were asked about our alergies. Many small things were considered which contributed to a nice dining experience. I ordered a bruscetta with prawns as an appetizer for £11. The bread was toasted and covered in a delicious buttery sauce. For the main course I ate a pizza with lobster. The pizza was heavily flavored with garlic and chilli. I really enjoyed the pizza, however the garlic and chilli completely overpowered the flavor of the lobster. For a 30£ lobster pizza, the flavor of the lobster should be the mainstay. That disappointed me. The truffle fries, on the other hand, were very convincing. Was the meal worth £50? Probably not. On the other hand, if you want good Italian food, you should try this restaurant, as I think it's one of the best Italian restaurants in Chester.

Had the bast time at Piccolino. Went to celebrate my birthday with friends and really enjoyed the food, drinks and vibes. Also Tamara’s service was so lovely and kind!! She served us with a smile. Will come back again

I’ve been going at Piccolino for the past few years and it’s one of my favourite restaurants. The atmosphere is amazing, the restaurant is very well maintained and classy decorated. The service is always outstanding and the staff is really professional and friendly. They’ve looked very well after a friend of mine who has allergies in few ingredients. I can’t recommend it highly enough whether you’re looking for a quick meal or a special occasion.

Wonderful. Excellent, efficient and friendly service. Great menu. Lovely food and presentation with plenty of vegetarian options. * A nice touch for the Manager to welcome guests on arrival and thank guests on departure. Usually Managers hide in the back! ;-) Piccolinos in Chester is well established now, very busy (due to the above) and I highly recommended. I came for my birthday with my friend for lunch and as soon as we sat down we felt very welcome and the service was 10/10! Cossimo went above and beyond to ensure we had a fabulous experience! The food was absolutely delicious and we ordered some cocktails which were also a nice treat! We loved it so much we even came back again in the evening for dinner and I brought my daughter! She said it was the best pasta she’s ever eaten and to my surprise she ate it all which is very rare :) I will be recommending to all my friends and family. Thank you Piccolino Chester :)

Has always been great for food, but today it was dire. Caesar salad - very greasy and overloaded with parmesan. Spaghetti carbonara - also very greasy, ham bits very chewy, over salty. The only good part was the egg, which was perfect. Very sad, but will be the last time we eat here.

Had dinner here tonight whilst on holiday. What a fabulous experience! The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and efficient. The whole team worked like a well oiled machine. We will have to come back to Chester to visit Piccolino again!

Let me start by saying my partner is Italian and I know the culture and the food very well. The staff were brash and unfriendly. The calamari was bland and I don’t think fresh, I think they were frozen. The scallops were also bland and lacked flavour. The risotto was SO overcooked it was like porridge it was also very spicy (chilli), I have never experienced a spicy seafood risotto. When I told the waiter about the risotto (the only thing we complained about) he argued with me and told me I was wrong. We didn’t eat any of the risotto, yet they still charged us for it in full, they tried to compensate by offering us a free dessert which wasn’t the bomb, despite the name. I would not return.

Last week me and my husband had our wedding after party in this restaurant and it was amazing. We have been planning for few months and decided on this restaurant as the view and people were lovely. They took all our pre orders and arranged the table with names and what we ordered. Also they decorated the place as per our idea. With ballons cake,cards, wall hanging etc. loved the way they surprised us with a few things. Also how they all knew it was our wedding and catered to all our needs.Also the food was lovely, portions were big i think alot of the guests and me could not get through it all ...But everyone loved the food and enjoyed the whole party 🥳. What a lovely day it was will always cherish these memories forever. And will add more pictures when i get them! Hav to say big thank you to mr cosimo and his team 💙 🙏

The waitresses were really friendly and the restaurant looks nice. The Pizza I ordered (see picture) lacked sauce and was therefore really dry. Definitely not worth the price of 29£. The truffle fries were tasty.
