Went for afternoon tea so different from the usual afternoon tea and in a lovely relaxed atmosphere the food was excellent

Visited with friends for a pre-show lunch. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent and wine delicious. We sat upstairs overlooking the cathedral and it was a lovely setting. All in all a great time was had by us all.

What an amazing experience wine tasting. The young lady explaining everything and waiting on was so good, smiling all the time and so knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone. I noticed the afternoon teas coming out they looked fantastic already planning my next visit for one of those

Excellent, intimate little Italian restaurant in the shadow of Chester cathedral. Food was very tasty and hot, the red wine that we had was wonderful and very reasonably priced. Service was quick, efficient and the staff were friendly - please try it for yourselves !!!

Not cheap for wine pours BUT had a lovely Falanghina glass. Lovely interior and best of all, friendly and accommodating staff that was very willing to explain the wine options and allowed numerous tastes. Plus dog-friendly!! Great to pop into post cathedral. We didn’t eat but there’s an array of Italian food options and nibbles.

Went to veenos for a treat, we've been before and wasn't disappointed just like last time. Food was amazing, staff were great. Well worth a visit, will definitely be going back.

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea and opted to use it at Veeno for our anniversary. The afternoon tea for two was a fun alternative to traditional afternoon teas and was delicious! The staff were great, in particular Josh who made sure we had everything we needed and took us through the whole experience. We can't wait for our next experience at Veeno.

We sat outside so atmosphere was hard to judge…. Nice sitting out front people watching. We had the shared Quattro Rossi- 4 different taster wines and Italian meats, olives, bread etc to combine. These were really good and tasty. Look forward to returning and having a main meal.

My wife and I came here for a Virgin wine tasting experience ( an xmas gift from our daughter) OMG, everything about it was 1st class, the food platter was extremely pleasant as for the wine selection, each wine was given with a discrimination of origin and which food it paired with, it was very informative & better than expected, obviously my wife differed on choice but that's down to personal taste. When back in Chester I would definitely bring my wife here for lunch again

Fabulous ‘Taste of Sicily’ wine tasting experience at the Chester Veeno. Food and wine were both superb and service by Josh was faultless. Desserts were phenomenal. Very much recommend!

Would highly recommend the meal and food pairing experience ⭐️. The food was lovely and the wine pairings went very well. The waitress was really good at informing us what the wine was and provided some background around it - very informative.

Absolutely loved our afternoon of food and wine tasting. Great atmosphere, quick service and Imogen was so knowledgeable with regards to the wine. First rate. This was a gift and it couldn't have been a better gift.

We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more than at Veeno Chester for my friend's 50th. The area we were given upstairs (with one window overlooking the catherdral) had been decorated with tasteful eco friendly decorations, the food and drink was delicious but most special of all was the personal touch from our wonderful waiter Josh. He saw to our every need and was so welcoming and friendly. Thank you Josh!

Very poor service - called in for a drink waited 20 minutes and nothing !! It wasn't particularly busy other than the bar staff who seemed to be rather abrupt and curt with anyone who called in for a drink. We left empty handed and will stick to the many more deserving and welcoming places in Chester. Somewhat pretentious really !!

Really cute little restaurant with a great view of Chester! Cosy feel and really lovely food. Very tasty and quick service. Highly recommend the homemade tagliatelle!

Me and my partner came for a food and wine pairing as a gift experience. Absolutely amazing food. Fantastic wines to pair with the food. Chloe was an amazing server, her knowledge was impeccable on the wines. Even though she was rushed off her feet at the end of the experience she delivered it so well. Sam the chef was amazing the presentation of the food was amazing too.

This was the second time we had visited for the Sicily Wine Tasting - the first was so good. We travelled from Manchester to Chester just for this meal, and booked a hotel nearby so that we could stagger back at our leisure. We arrived at 18.45, being a Wednesday night it was reasonably quiet and we got a window table to watch the Chester nightlife drift by. We were not rushed, the wine and the food were as expected - excellent, and we left around 21.45. This is a great way to sample the wines of Sicily - the staff are really great and made us very welcome - well done guys, you are exceptional !

The "Trip To Sicily - Wine and Food Tasting" at Veeno Chester was brilliant. We got to taste 5 different wines plus a desert wine with some amazing food to accompany it. Staff were very friendly and informative. A great experience!

Amazing food. Amazing service, we had a very attentive guy named Josh. Would recommend. However, if you look to buy the wines after your tasting, the same wines are all cheaper on their own website.

Always an exception to my chain hating ways 🤪😁🤣. And Veeno is certainly one of them . Great selection .. , staff (even the ones from Bristol Veeno 😉😀) providing great service . I was suitably impressed 🤩 Well done guys .. giving the staff in Manchester a run for their money 🤑

Went here having been bought a voucher for a Sicilian Tasting Menu as an anniversary present n Thursday 30th December 2020. Booking was easy and the food was exquisite as well as the fabulously paired wines with each dish. Service was excellent and the explanation of each wine for each dish was spot on. The only one thing that was somewhat concerning was that not one of the staff wore a face mask the whole time we were there. Yes, people maybe exempt but out of three serving staff the odds on all three being exempt must be very high.

Could not recommend highly enough - the food, wine and service was brilliant throughout our visit - special thanks to Chloe and Imogen for making us feel so welcome, always checking in to see if everything was okay and if there's anything additional they could do for us. If you're in the Chester area, Veeno is a must to visit!

Loved it here, food was fantastic and the staff couldn't be better. Our waitress Stephanie knew her wine and was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and a fantastic host. Will call in every chance I get in future. 6 out of 5 stars!!!!

We were served by Ellie for the trip to Sicily experience. It was a brilliant experience lasting over two hours where Ellie explained the origins of the wines and why they’d been paired with each of the foods. There was no pressure to purchase the wines at the end (although very tempted). Will definitely go back again for some of the other wine experiences or the bottomless pizza!

We enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting experience at Veeno - 5 wines with a huge charcuterie board followed by a dessert wine with a delicious tiramisu. We were guided through the experience by Ellie, who was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. A wonderful afternoon and great value. We'll definitely be returning.
