๐Ÿ˜  I genuinely cannot believe a surgery is allowed to be run how City Walls Medical Centre is run. They have a phone line that is continually 'busy' (as in, I am instantly cut off, I do not even get put on hold). I then went to the practice to try and book an appointment in person, only to be told all... People often mention appointment, surgery, told, care, phone, call, called, practice, book, service,

I genuinely cannot believe a surgery is allowed to be run how City Walls Medical Centre is run. They have a phone line that is continually 'busy' (as in, I am instantly cut off, I do not even get put on hold). I then went to the practice to try and book an appointment in person, only to be told all appointments had been taken for the day and that somebody would call me the next day. Nobody called. I then had to call them and was told a Doctor would call me today in the AM. It is now mid afternoon, still no call. I am now continually trying to contact them via phone to establish what is happening after 42 attempts, I am now on hold and position 9 in a queue still yet to speak to somebody. Whilst I appreciate Covid has not aided this situation it does not excuse incompetence, somebody needs to take a serious look at how this practice is run. Very very poor service and when you do actually get to speak to somebody, they are rude to you. I can see why this medical centre is rated at 2.6 stars. Appalling.

This practise used to be good in 2014-2015. What happened? Donโ€™t take on so many patients if you canโ€™t help them properly. I understand you guys are busy but this is ridiculous. You should be focused on giving quality care in a reasonable amount of time rather than taking on so many patients like packed sardines in a tin and then giving them slow care. What a nightmare to get through on the phone, currently position 18 and I keep getting cut off.

Practically impossible to get an appointment. Eventually managed to book a phone appointment this morning, but no one phoned me. I tried ringing the centre, got immediately cut off. 45 minutes later, I got a text message response with minimal info from a different doctor. So frustrating that it has become that difficult to get basic medical care.

I used this doctors surgery all my life until I move abroad. It is horrendous. The receptionists were extremely rude and unprofessional. This surgery has caused me so much trauma and health issues over the years due to delays. Losing urine samples, tests results, important paper work. Being dismissed by doctors. I could go on and on. I can't believe it is still open!!

So, I couldn't get through on the phone, went down there in person to be told I couldn't book it over the desk now as a new system has been implemented called Patchs, filled in everything, told it's processed and now I'm left in limbo. I now need to obtain a linkeage key and something else to access something to allow me to book an appointment, whilst uploading my passport and bill as proof and yet I already did this on becoming a patient. It's almost like they don't want us as patients to make an appointment, so they try and make it as difficult as possible, I feel like I'm going insane! How on earth does this surgery expect old people to cope with this online system and people who don't readily use the internet. I don't even understand it. I think the doctors and nurses are brilliant, but whoever is responsible for running the surgery is doing a shocking job!

See the reason this gp seems good is probably because my old one was so terrible! As a surgery its as good as it gets in Chester when it comes to the NHS. The staff are polite, the doctors aren't rude and neither are the nurses. They're not necessarily the best and have caused me to have a super delayed diagnosis due to ignorance but they aren't the worst. The staff that do blood tests are really polite and nice. It's not perfect but it could be worse. Calling for appointments in the morning can be a nightmare and waiting several weeks for a result calls is ridiculous.

Yesterday I had a problem obtaining vital food supplements as I cannot swallow solid foods... After several attempts to contact a medical professional I was unsuccessful... A member of City Walls medical team contacted me, completely out of the blue, rang me and confirmed that she had been successful in solving the problem, her name is Christine... She had managed to cut through the red tape that had so frustrated me. She is an absolute credit to the medical profession and the practice.. What a star. Once again, thank you so much Christine. Shocking! I called yesterday 34 times. Again I've called 46 times no pick up, today trying to book an appointment! I don't understand how you can get booked in to see a Dr if they never pick the phone up or it just says "line busy" and if you get through the attitude of reception is shocking. I would not recommend this Drs surgery.

Thankfully I'm not at this Dr's but my partner is and the Patches online form is awful. I was in the surgery Last week and spoke to a training receptionist, I explained about the patches system and asked if I could phone the surgery or call into the surgery to make an appointment to be told no , funny as the lady in front of me made an appointment. Not everyone has the internet and not everyone is able to use a computor

Rang and rang for my mum... When I finally got through at 6pm I was in a queue until 6.30pm when they cut me off. Had to ring 111, they have just called an ambulance for my mum. I wasted so much time trying to get through. Truly shocking.

It's damn near impossible to get an appointment. The only thing worse than the appointment system is the receptionists, don't know why they have jobs where the main requirement is to help people when they clearly couldn't care less and you get more attitude than help. Avoid.

Appointment for minor surgery for lump on my back and after the usual doctor and hospital tests was glad I was going to be treated at last. After waiting over 40 minutes I was confronted by doctor who asked whether I'd had a telephone call that morning. I said no, but I'd had a message to remind me to attend the appointment. Was then told the lump was too big and there'd be too much blood! Had visions of him having to repaint his surgery after the blood spatter or perhaps he was late for his lunch. Couldn't believe I'd have to go through all the rigmarole again and he told me I could always go private. He might be able to go private but I certainly cannot. Secondly had a request to record my blood pressure over the course of a fortnight which I did and sent it back to the surgery on 8 February. As of today, 9 April, I still await a response. I also await the result of a heart scan taken at the Countess some months ago. So bad - I know people who have simply given up trying to get some sort of positive responses from the surgery

This is probably the worse I have seen in many years form a patient care prospective . Unorganized , donโ€™t care and goodluck to get through to them . I will completely avoid them . Shame

Have been at this practice since I was a baby. Always had issues get appointments but thought this was down to the pressures on the NHS. Receptionists are rude, blunt and not helpful, rang one week to chase something told something completely different to the other two times I called to chase it. Refused to let me speak to a supervisor to clear up confusion. Felt as though I wasn't being listened to and during time where I needed duty of care to be inacted, however it was not. Moved practices, do not recommend joining this practice due to the lack of communication that seems to happen inside the building and no care for the patients they have on file who need help.

Worst service and care in a whole universe. Absolutely waste of people money and taxes. Them so called "doctors" should rather work in IT industry or call centres. And their booking system trying to easier send people on the other side. Shocking!

Would give it less than 1 star if it was possible. Terrible GPโ€™s, if your lucky enough to get to see them that is.

I registered last month, was told I'd get a text to allow me access ordering my repeat prescriptions online, this text never came, I have spent today trying to phone unsuccessfully. As I work in Manchester Monday to Friday will have to take a day off work to now call into the practice, my first impressions are pretty poor.

Once I managed to circumvent the triage system and actually register as a temporary patient I was treated very well and received the prescriptions I needed urgently. Good service from receptionist and clinicians

I was late in calling to book a B12 and spoke with Angela Lewis. She was amazing. She found me an appointment swiftly and couldn't have asked for better service. Angela thank you for your help (which was above and beyond) and don't change.

Iโ€™ve just made an appointment for a blood test, the lady on reception really went out of her way to help me find an appointment, at Saughall medical centre. I must say I have the same amazing customer service at City Walls when I use there.
